  1. FS2004 SAAF Lockheed 18-08 Lodestar

FS2004 SAAF Lockheed 18-08 Lodestar (South African Air Force). Lockheed Lodestars were ordered by SAA just prior to World War II and once hostilities began they were impressed into the South African Air Force (SAAF). The aircraft were used on the South Africa-Egypt "shuttle" from 8 July 1941, most of them operating in a camouflage paint scheme. Dakotas replaced the Lodestars from 1943. By the end of WWII seven had been written off in accidents and three passed on to the RAF. The survivors continued in service with SAA. Prior installation of the Lockheed Lodestar by Milton Shupe is required. Repaint by Andre Reimers.

  2. FS2004/FSX Yak-1M

FS2004/FSX Yak-1M. The Yakovlev Yak-1 was a World War II Soviet fighter aircraft. Production began in early 1940. It was a single-seat monoplane with a composite structure and wooden wings. The Yak-1 was extremely manoeuvrable, fast and well armed, and, just as importantly, it was easy to maintain and reliable. It formed an excellent basis for subsequent developments from the Yakovlev bureau. In fact it was the founder of a family of aircraft, with some 37,000 being built. In 1943, Yakovlev designed the Yak-1M which was a lighter version of the Yak-1.Tested in FS2004/FSX/FSX Acceleration. Gmax model by A.F. Scrub.

  3. FS2004/FSX Yak-3

FS2004/FSX Yak-3. Lighter and smaller than the Yak-9 but powered by the same engine, the Yak-3 was a forgiving, easy-to-handle aircraft loved by both novice and experienced pilots and ground crew as well. It was robust, easy to maintain, and a highly successful dog-fighter. It was used mostly as a tactical fighter, flying low over battlefields and engaging in dogfights below 4 km (13,000 ft). Tested in FS2004/FSX/FSX Acceleration. Gmax model by A.F. Scrub.

  17. FS2004 A.V.I.A. L.3 (Part 2) Closed Cockpit

FS2004 A.V.I.A. L.3 (Part 2) Closed Cockpit. The L3 was a partially failed attempt to create a very simple and cheap monoplane trainer, better suited to the entire basic training syllabus of Regia Aronautica pilots from 1940 onwards. This closed cockpit version, initially conceived for civil use, was used also by the Croatian Air Force, the Luftwaffe and by the A.N.R. (for assault glider pilot training also). Some also served as 'unit hacks' during WW2. This release (Part 2) provides a closed cockpit model in many relevant liveries. It also works (tested) subject to some limitations within in FSX. A.V.I.A. L.3 (Part 1) (L3_V01-OPEN_COCKPIT.ZIP) must be installed before installing this part 2. VC only. Gmax models and skins by Manuele Villa, flight dynamics by FSAviator.

  18. FS2004/FSX Republic F-47 D Thunderbolt

FS2004/FSX Republic F-47 D Thunderbolt. The big Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was one of the most successful and best-loved fighters of all time. The 'Jug', named for its bulky shape, was a monster of a machine, yet it was fast and manoeuvrable. After WW2 many Thunderbolts arrived in the National Guard squadrons, as F47 and were still being flown in 1955. Seven different textures created by Mick. Tested in Windows 7/8.1, FS2004/FSX/FSX Acceleration. Gmax model by A.F. Scrub.

  19. FS2004/FSX Heinkel He112b

FS2004/FSX Heinkel He112b. The He 112 fighters were designed by Heinkel in response to Luftwaffe's call for a monoplane fighter that could attain a high speed, which the He 112 design fulfilled, but the contract eventually went to the Messerschmitt Bf 109 design due to He 112's expensive price tag and perhaps partially due to the crashes during performance review. Even though the BF109 won the Luftwaffe contract, Heinkel still produced 98 He.112's. It was mostly used by Spain, Japan, Rumania and Hungary. Gmax model by A.F. Scrub.

  20. FS2004 A.V.I.A. L.3 Part 1

FS2004 A.V.I.A. L.3 Part 1. The AVIA L3 was a partially failed attempt to create a very simple and cheap monoplane trainer, better suited to the entire basic training syllabus of Regia Aronautica pilots from 1940 onwards. This open cockpit version was also adopted for 'lead in' training, by the Croatian Air Force, and eventually the Luftwaffe, and by the A.N.R. for assault glider pilot training. Some also served as 'unit hacks' during WW2. Full details are in the suppled contextual history. This release (Part 1) provides two open cockpit MDLs, with different landing gear, many relevant liveries, a combined contextual history of both the open and closed cabin versions, and an illustrated Student Training Manual to allow realistic simulation of the wartime Axis 'lead in' training syllabus. The Part 2 of this release will later feature the enclosed cabin version. VC only. It also works subject to some limitations within in FSX. Gmax models and skins by Manuele Villa, flight dynamics by FSAviator. By Manuele Villa/MVG3D.

  22. FS2004/FSX Messerschmitt BF109G10

FS2004/FSX Messerschmitt BF109G10. The Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-10 "Gustav" was the most numerous German fighter in service with the Luftwaffe during the last years of WW2. By early Spring 1944, the Bf.109G-10 variant had replaced the Bf.109G-6 in mass-production, being powered by the DB 605D engine with an improved supercharger. Without external pylons, the G-10 was the fastest Bf-109G variant, with a top speeds of 550 km/h at sea level and 680 km/h at 7400 m. Four models, clean or with guns/rocket launchers. Tested in FS2004/FSX/FSX Acceleration, Windows 7/8. Gmax model by A.F. Scrub.

  23. FS2004 AerMacchi C.205 Veltro

FS2004 AerMacchi C.205 Veltro (Greyhound)-S.M.Luigi Gorrini (MOVM). Regarded as the best Italian aircraft of World War II, the Macchi-Castoldi C205 proved to be extremely effective in action, destroying a large number of Allied bombers and capable of successfully clashing on equal terms with Allied fighters. Although the C.205 was able to match the best Allied opponents both in speed and maneuverability, it was introduced late during the conflict. Moreover, due to the poor Italian industrial capability of the time, only a small production run was delivered to combat units before the end of the war. Famous C.205 pilots are Italy's highest scoring ace Adriano Visconti and the top scoring C.205 Sergente Maggiore pilota (Sargeant Major pilot) Luigi Gorrini. To date, there's still debate about Gorrini's score, since Regia Aeronautica preferred crediting units over individual combat achievements. Gorrini's official aerial combat score is 19 victories, but, according to his memories, he achieved 7 more during his service with Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana (A.N.R.), flying a Macchi C.205. These victories did not enter his official tally due to political reasons, since the A.N.R. fought by the side of the German Luftwaffe after the Italian September 8th, 1943 armistice. These bring his total tally to 26 victories, making him the top scoring Italian fighter ace of WWII. For his combat record with the A.N.R he was awarded twice by the Luftwaffe with the Iron Cross First and Second Class. Luigi Gorrini was also awarded for his actions, after the end of the war, with the highest Italian military decoration, the "Medaglia d'Oro al Valor Militare" (M.O.V.M., Gold Medal for Military Valour). Last surviving Italian fighter pilot of WWII, he died recently at the age of 97 and this repaint is dedicated to his memory. Textures only, requires C205_V01.ZIP. Repaint by Manuele Villa/MVG3D.

  25. FS2004/FSX K5054 Spitfire Prototype

FS2004/FSX K5054 Spitfire Prototype. The Spitfire represents the pinnacle of inline-piston engined interceptor design, and has become (arguably) THE timeless classic that other aircraft are compared too. Its designer, R.J Mitchell, has become recognized as one of the all time greats in cutting edge aviation design. Work on K5054 started in December 1934. K5054 was named Supermarine Spitfire in March 1936. K5054 took off on its maiden flight at 16.30 on March 5th 1936 from Eastleigh Aerodrome in Hampshire. The flight lasted just eight minutes. The flight was such a revelation that on landing test pilot Summers said of K5054 "Don't touch a thing". Tested in FS2004/FSX/FSX Acceleration, Windows 7/8. Gmax model by A.F. Scrub.
