  5. FS2004/FSX Spitfire Mk22

FS2004/FSX Spitfire Mk22. One of the last variants of the original Spitfire, the Mk 22 had an increased fuel capacity over its predecessors, with two fuel tanks of 33 gal (150 l) each installed in the rear fuselage. There were also zero-point fittings for rocket projectiles under the wings. Most had the larger "Spiteful" tail units. Modifications were also made to the trim tab gearings in order to perfect the F Mk 22's handling characteristics. The F Mk 22 achieved a maximum speed of 454 mph (731 km/h), and could reach an altitude of 30,000 ft (9,100 m) in eight minutes, putting it on a par with the most advanced piston-engined fighters of the era. FS2004 Focke-Wulf Ta154 A1 Moskito. A new model of the Focke-Wulf Ta154 A1 Moskito night fighter. A night fighter project that nearly reached production, but failed due to technical problems. Some used as night fighters in 1945. Being built mostly of plywood, it was hoped that this would be Germany's answer to the very successful British Mosquitos. Includes opening access panels, engine cooling gills and full canopies. With 2D and VC panels. By Chris Lampard.

  12. FS2004 Boulton Paul Defiant

FS2004 Boulton Paul Defiant. The Boulton Paul Defiant was a British interceptor aircraft that served with the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. This concept of a turret fighter having no forward firing guns related directly to successes in the First World War. The prototype first flew in August 1937. Three varients are included in this package: Mk1 Fighter, V1121 AF-V of the Air Fighting Development Unit at Duxford; MK1A Night Fighter N1801 PS-B of 264 Squadron - the first to be fitted with airborne radar equipment; T.T MK1 Target Towing Tug N1624 5S-J of 691 Squadron. Although built for FS2004 the model will perform reasonably well in FSX (not tested in P3D). By David Molyneaux.

  15. FS2004 Kawasaki Ki-100-I Ko

FS2004 Kawasaki Ki-100-I Ko. The Kawasaki Ki-100 was a fighter aircraft used by the Imperial Japanese Army in World War II. 275 Ki-100 airframes were built as Ki-61's before being modified to accept a radial engine in place of the original inline engine. The emergency measure of adapting a Ki-61-II-KAI fighter to carry a Mitsubishi radial engine resulted in one of the best interceptors used by the Army during the entire war. It combined excellent power and maneuverability and it performed better than most other IJAAF fighters. Two models. Upgrade by A.F. Scrub.
