  1. X-Plane 9.70+ Convair XP-81

X-Plane 9.70+ Convair XP-81 1.1. The Consolidated Vultee XP81 was a project for a single seat long range escort fighter that combined use of both a turbojet and a turboprop engines. Although promising, the lack of a suitable engine combined with the end of World War II doomed the project. Two prototype aircraft were ordered on 11 February 1944 that were designated XP-81. The engine selection was an attempt to couple the high-speed capability of the jet engine with the endurance offered by the propeller engine. By Vasco Ribeiro.

  2. X-Plane 9.70 P-61 Black Widow

X-Plane 9.70 P-61 Black Widow. The Northrop P61 Black Widow, named for the American spider, was the first operational U.S. military aircraft designed specifically for night interception of opposing aircraft, and was the first aircraft specifically designed to use radar. The P-61 had a crew of three: pilot, gunner, and radar operator. Important note: this aircraft is for X-Plane 9.70 only. To use it in X-Plane 10 you will have to upgrade the aircraft file and airfoils. By Ron Norvelle.

It also served in the South African Air Force from 1957 to 1984. The design is named after the polar explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton. Works in X-Plane and 8 and 9 only. By Jacques Brault.

  4. X-Plane 9+ Heinkel He-100D-1

X-Plane 9+ Heinkel He-100D-1. The Heinkel He 100 was a German pre-World War II fighter aircraft design from Heinkel. Although it proved to be one of the fastest fighter aircraft in the world at the time of its development, the design was not ordered into series production, Approximately 19 prototypes and pre-production machines were built. The reason for the failure of the He 100 to reach production status is subject to debate. None are known to have survived the war. Beber, thanks for your wonderful pilot figures. 6. X-Plane 9+ Fairey Swordfish

X-Plane 9+ Fairey Swordfish. The Fairey Swordfish was a torpedo bomber biplane designed by the Fairey Aviation Company and used by the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy during the Second World War. For those of you that are unaware of the origin of the plane's nickname "string bag", that was a common British shopping accessory that could accommodate almost any manner of purchase. The Swordfish, similarly, could carry almost any weapon that could be hung aboard, so thus 'string bag" became a honorific nickname rather than a derisive term. By Ron Norvelle.

  8. X-Plane 9 North American P-51D Mustang

X-Plane 9 North American P-51D Mustang. This P-51 has been completely revised and tweaked for version 9.70. For better handling of this plane it is strongly recommended that you read the POH that is supplied with the plane. WW2 fighters with their powerful engines and monster propellers were not easy beasts to tame. Take the time to learn to fly this plane properly. It will prove rewarding. Five liveries are included. The use of pedals for braking and for ground handling will make it easier. Original P51 sounds by Dataroots, Cockpit Histopack by Ho-hun. The pilot figure was originally created by Scooter. It includes added normal files to the plane and added and changed some other things too. Unzip Stinson L5 PH-SEN upload.ZIP to your desktop and make sure to read the enclosed ReadmeFirst.PDF. If not installed exactly as described, normal mapping will not work. By Leen de Jager.

  12. X-Plane Swiss Stinson Sentinel

X-Plane Swiss Stinson Sentinel. This repaint has to be installed in X-Plane in quite an unusual way. The reason for this is the fact this repaint contains repainted texture files for the panel (registration on panel and interior details) and also a texture file for the rotating propeller (wooden propeller instead of the default grey aluminium one). Please make sure to read the ReadmeFirst.PDF carefully. By Leen "Flybike" de Jager.

X-Plane 9.70+ Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat v1.0. The Grumman F6F Hellcat was a carrier-based fighter aircraft developed to replace the earlier F4F Wildcat in United States Navy (USN) service. 19. X-Plane 9.43 Fieseler Fi.156 C-2 Storch

X-Plane 9.43 Fieseler Fi.156 C-2 Storch. Because of its remarkable STOL features, the Fieseler Fi156 Storch is considered the grandfather of all the modern short or vertical take-off aircraft. The project was begun in 1935 and, in service, the Storch was a valuable element within the German Air Force. The plane served on all fronts throughout the war, almost 2900 were built and they saw service in communication, observation and casualty evacuation duties and proved to be perhaps the most versatile aircraft of the war. The Storch was also built under licence in France and Czechoslovakia. Among the Storch historic flights were the rescue of Mussolini at Campo Imperatore on September 12, 1943, and a flight on April 26, 1945, to carry general Ritter von Greim into the heart of besieged Berlin to Hitler's bunker. The model is a Fi.156 C-2 which served in Russia in 1941 with the insignia of I./JG 54. The other liveries belong to a Storch C-3/Trop, operated in North Africa during 1941 and wearing the insignia of T2.(H)/14 and to various planes used by Air Forces of different countries. The aircraft is fully animated and the Argus As.10 engine, reproduced in 3D, it is visible from the external. By Paolo Matricardi. Sounds by Chris Wraight. Animated propeller by Andrey Kozyaruk.

  21. X-Plane 9.22 Junkers Ju.52/3mW

X-Plane 9.22 Junkers Ju.52/3mW. This Junkers Ju.52/3mW served with the Luftwaffe in 1940 during the invasion of Norway. This variant, basically a g5e with floats, was widely used during that campaign (operation Weserbung). The g5e version was an improvement upon the Junkers Ju 52/3m g4e. It had more comprehensive radio equipment, a de-icing system that used the exhaust, provision for an interchangeable wheel ski or float landing gear, and an uprated powerplant: three BMW 132T-2 radials, rated at 830 hp (619 kW). Number built: unknown out of a total of 5415 in 15 versions. This plane is fully animated: cockpit, landing gear, surface controls and fuselage doors. The BMW 132T-2 radial and the MG131 mg in the dorsal position have been totally reproduced as a 3D obj. By Paolo Matricardi. Sounds by Chris Wraight.
