X-Plane 11 Scenery--Wongkinmay Airport (SEWO) Ecuador 1.0. Hacienda Lastenia Wongkinmay (Commonly known as "Wongkinmay") is a banana farm located in the Valencia canton, Los Rios province, Ecuador. It is located 29 NM SW from Santo Domingo de los Colorados airport (SESD). This landing strip is used for crop dusting and for the farm's logistical and administrative purposes. Though the satellite images show a grass runway, it was recently paved with asphalt. The runway is 920 meters long. Special thanks to Sir Hofma whose photos are published to show the real airport. X-Plane 10 Scenery--Japan RJTO Oshima 1.3. The island of Oshima lies just outside the mouth of Tokyo Bay, about 100 km from Tokyo. It is served by a surprisingly well-appointed airport that gets daily flights from Tokyo Haneda and Chofu Airport in northwestern Tokyo, as well as helicopter flights linking Tokyo to the islands further south. The scenery contains lots of HDR lighting. Custom objects include a Toho Airlines Sikorsky S-72 helicopter and a few local taxicabs sporting real island taxi liveries. The scenery requires OpenSceneryX (OPENSCENERYX.ZIP) and includes Andreas Wieberneit's Weathered Edges enhancement on the shoulders of the pavement. X-Plane 10 Scenery--RJTH Hachijojima Airport 1.4. Hachijojima Airport serves the island of Hachijojima, administratively a part of Tokyo despite being located 287 km south of the metropolitan area. Hachijojima is a popular tourist destination and gets daily flights from Tokyo Haneda. Blender was used for most of the custom modelling, but SketchUp was also used for some of the buildings. The scenery requires OpenSceneryX (OPENSCENERYX.ZIP) and includes Andreas Wieberneit's Weathered Edges enhancement on the shoulders of the pavement. X-Plane 11 Scenery--KFMN Four Corners Regional, Farmington, New Mexico (NM), USA. Four Corners Regional is located 50 miles east of the intersection of the borders of Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah. This region of the U.S. Southwest is rich in national parks, monuments and forest, making KFMN a great jumping off point. The native American themed terminal and tower are among my favorites aiport buildings. I started with the most recent KFMN Gateway scenery and replaced the stock buildings with custom ones. It is located in the highlands at an elevation of 9648 ft above sea level. Tulcan is just a few kilometers away from the Colombian border and the Colombian city of Ipiales. This airport dates back to 1947 when it was called "Aerodromo El Rosal". Up until recently Tame operated flights to/from Quito and were a logistical stop before continuing on to Cali, Colombia. X-Plane 11 Scenery--Aeropuerto Atahualpa (SEIB) Ecuador 1.5. Aeropuerto Atahualpa was the airport that served the city of Ibarra, capital of the Imbabura province, Ecuador. This was a high altitude airport located in the Andes mountains, on the southwestern outskirts of Ibarra (30 NM NE from Quito's new airport). Its runway was 1,835 meters long (6,020 ft) made of asphalt. This airport operated until October 2011 when it was shut down due to political interests that claimed that the airport was "used by only a few". After it was shut down a theme park was built. At Windshear Simulations we have recreated this airport as part of our "Classic Airports Collection". It imitates how the airport looked shortly before it shut down and allow simmers to fly over this beautiful region of Ecuador. Brisbane Airport is undergoing a lot of changes, and the main project is due for completion in 2020....the new parallel 01L/19R runway with associated taxiway support system. Thanks to cooperation from personnel deeply involved in designing the procedures for the new airspace, the team were given access to the data required to present the airport in X-Plane. The airport has also been used to validate future procedures and airspace, as it is accurate within the data provided. X-Plane 11 Scenery--Squaw Rock MT22 Montana 1.1.0. This scenery package contains Squaw Rock Airstrip (MT22) and ortho-overlay (ZL19). The scenery has been featured in the Bush League Event Pt. 10 on August 1st 2020. Squaw Rock Airstrip is a small grass/turf airstrip in northeastern Montana, USA, approx. 40 nm SE of Missoula, MT, USA. It's at almost 5000' feet elevation and has a 2100' long runway. It's tugged away in a small valley between several mountain ridges. According to one participant of the event "you have to know that it's there, otherwise there is no way you can get in there". Landing to the SW entails dropping in over a small ridge or a snake run - both on final. If you land to the NE you don't have much maneuvering room because of the narrow valley you fly into on your approach. Choose your way! X-Plane 11 Scenery--Moose Creek USFS Airport 1U1 Idaho 1.0. This scenery package contains Moose Creek USFS Airport (1U1) and ortho-overlay (ZL19). Moose Creek USFS Airport is a dual grass/turf runway airstrip situated in the Idaho Mountains where the Moose Creek meets the Selway River in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest, Idaho, USA. Its field elevation is at 2454 feet and the longest runway is about 4100 feet long. It mainly serves the Moose Creek Ranger Station but is open to pilots and hikers alike to pitch their tents next to the runway on a stop-over. Both runways have a steep drop off into the Selway River on their south-eastern end. This, the wind shear and the high rising terrain surrounding the airstrip is making it quite hazardous. Forget about any standard traffic pattern. On runway 01/19 landings are to the south and take-offs to the north when wind conditions permit. On runway 04/22 landings are to the north-east and take-offs to the south-west, go-around not recommended. X-Plane 11 Scenery--Thomas Airport ME17 Maine 1.1.0. This scenery package contains Thomas Airport (ME17) and custom ortho overlay (zl19), Thomas Airport is located in the Swift River Valley right next to the river, Maine (ME), USA. It's approximately 25 nm east of Berlin Regional Airport (KBML). It makes a good base for exploring the surroundings. Change into a canoe or boat right after landing, but take care that no vehicle cross the runway while doing so! The custom ortho overlay will sit on top of any runway and taxiway textures in order to use the 'natural' textures. There is a naming conflict with the code ME17, that's why I gave Thomas Airport the code MX17 instead. ME17 is taken by another default airport in X-Plane. I modified the name in order to make it work for everybody straight away. However, you can change the codes yourself if you want after installing it.
