X-Plane 11 Scenery--Teniente Coronel Luis A. Mantilla Int'l Airport. Teniente Coronel Luis A. Mantilla airport serves the city of Tulcan in the Carchi province, Ecuador. It is located in the highlands at an elevation of 9648 ft above sea level. Tulcan is just a few kilometers away from the Colombian border and the Colombian city of Ipiales. This airport dates back to 1947 when it was called "Aerodromo El Rosal". Up until recently Tame operated flights to/from Quito and were a logistical stop before continuing on to Cali, Colombia.
