  1. Wouldn't want it hunting me!!
  2. Wonderful as always! Loved the shadows!! Which airport enjoyed your low pass?
  3. I agree those are killers shots. Having said that, we're all aware of the continuous sim designers choice. Frame Rate or Detail? And where do you draw the line to make the most users happy?
  4. You might try buying it for her? I'd be interested in how that turns out.
  5. Nor can I ever hear or play Taps without saluting all those men and woman who as we know "All gave some and some gave all!" In fact there are times it's all I can do to hold myself together to finish that salute.
  6. I still think it has a lot to do with your "museum purposes" underwing add-ons . If I were running a FBO, they'd sure get my attention, just in case!! In fact back when I was ferrying H-46s from Baltimore to So Cal, we knew a FBO in Midway Texas who did just the opposite. When this guy heard incoming calls from 46 ferry hops to refuel he'd load the open bed if his Follow Me Truck with women in bikinis and coolers full of beer. Guess which FBO we always refueled our 46's at!
  7. True enough! Having said that, I bet the FBOS all give him good parking spots, offer loaner cars, and clean his windscreens just before taxi. Who'd want to be on his bad side right before his takeoff!!
  8. Great "simulator" shots if that is what they are!! I have to wonder is that based upon an actual retail simulator and if so which one? And if it is a regular affordable sim how did you set that up? Or is that a fancy come on site made to look like a simulator the average Joe or Jane might be able to use?
  9. I agree with the challenge concept. I advise requiring accurate aircraft fuel windows for each leg of any Challenge. I'd also suggest using downloaded RW Weather, and certainly a pledge of no Autopilot. That's quite similar to the "Around The world In Eighty Days" challenge held a few years ago on a different site than this. The object of which was to visit all of the locales visited by Phinias Phog in the book. However the choice of vehicle, as long as it was a known sim vehicle such as aircraft, ship, train, etc. was allowed. And yes, most of us changed "Horses For Courses" along the trip. We started out with several hundred entries and ended up with a very small percentage of finishers.
  10. Well said! And the other advantage I see is that once you download them, they are there on your hard drive. You don't have to go online and wade for all the inane hours of updates of the new online sim just to fly where you choose to fly! I still don't understand how someone, me in this case, must spend hours upon hours with mandatory updates to use some software I already bought, paid for, and choose to use without Big Brother monitoring every key stroke I choose to make on a product I already paid for!!!!!
  11. I agree 100%!! Many if not most people alive today haven't clue!
  12. Looking Scary! I'm glad it's one of ours!
  13. Sweet shots! Those FSX planes are great! I never got the chance to even sit in an F-8. But I always thought it was the best looking bird I ever saw in USMC livery.
  14. I agree! It was the most exciting plane I ever was a passenger in for sure! I didn't even miss not having a stewardess!
  15. I agree! IMO the best entertainment Vegas has to offer is the buffets.
  16. Why is the only copilot I see in the ad a woman? There have been many female PICS for decades. Some women have soloed around the world. And men are often copilots before they become a PIC. If they don't include a man as a copilot and/or a woman as a pilot, this whole program seems very sexist to me.
  17. Thanks for that Aviation Heritage Link! I've been to several air museums in various countries and also visited Hamilton several times. Especially when I worked in the automobile industry. But sadly, I didn't know that museum was there. Should I have occasion to go back up to Hamilton I'll try to drop in for a look around. And I strongly suggest others check out the link you posted. It appears to be a very nice museum with several interesting aircraft. Enough so that I would think people who plot those airstrips for sims would find this one worth the effort. Rupert
  18. It's not freeware but ORBX has tons of really great scenery software from airports to countries and continents that should really enhance your flying experience. Try a free "Demo" version and decide if it's worth your investment.
  19. +1! I had that happen. I built a new computer for speed and multiple monitors then I had to convince Microsoft that I wasn't passing on or selling my old computer to someone else with FSX still functional.
  20. Sweet flight Darryl. And when the weather is that nice way up there in the North this time of the year, the flight's probably smoother than expected as well.
  21. Great link! Anytime someone takes that much interest in any history is a good thing! History that sounds that good over head is just an added bonus.
  22. WOW! What sweet aircraft! Even more planes to learn about and enjoy. Great post Khalid! I can't believe I hadn't noticed it before now! Michael
