  1. Another glorious Blast From The Past!! And I love both paints.
  2. Nice flight! The Spirit Flight landing in the background is another added sight of interest! Well Done!
  3. Nice shots! And I still think the original Coach Class seats in the 707 were more comfortable than any Coach Class seating I've ever sat in! Though the huge upgrade seats in the "Piano Bar Sky Lounge" of a 747 were even nicer.
  4. Great shots Bill!! And my recently passed brother in law worked for FedEx since before they opened their "Memphis" hub. Which is actually mostly in Mississippi, would have agreed with your title line. Having said that as I live in Kentucky. and have neighbors who work and/or fly for either UPS out of SDF or DHL out of CVG,, I will say FedEx has lots of competition in terms of overnight delivery in the US. Michael
  5. Great shots Bill!! And I'll bet you haven't spent hours and hours trying to download info to get that scenery either!
  6. Really! Will that work on the current 2020 version I already own? How and where do I get that info??
  7. +1! My three panels side by side worked great and almost gave a 3d effect until the new sim along. And I didn't lose hours getting "updates" on a regular basis. Plus I often used a pad for a 4th view of either my instruments or controls. I wasted my money of the new XBOX sim but don't plan on getting bit twice.
  8. I can't answer your question because I haven't tired that sim. Having said that, it appears those designers are striving very hard to duplicate RW conditions. And if it's sim you're looking for, duplicating RW features is a great thing!! IMO, the closer a "sim" is to RW the better!! I suggest you re-read all the landing specs, weight & balance, speed, flaps, etc. that you can find. Then practice and vary each element one at a time. It sounds as though you may have a very well designed and I hope accurately modeled sim!! I believe if you put your best efforts into reading and understanding all the parameters you'll probably end up being much more satisfied with the end result than if it just landed itself! Please advise us with the details of your upcoming success!!
  9. Sweet as always! It's great to see many unusual country's livery. As well as the ones we see al the time..
  10. I think you are missing my point. With the older sims I can select cockpit mode and see out the directly front on my center screen. I can also select cockpit mode on either other scree and make it side facing like looking out the left pilot's window on my left screen, and also do the same thing looking right and out the right side on my right screen. Similar to what we see RW while a pilot or while inside a car or truck. So in short I have an almost full 3 horizon view using three monitors all the time just by moving my eyes. Like we all have RW. We're not talking about little functions like an undocked GPS, etc., we're talking about how it looks from inside the cockpit of a RW aircraft or the driver's seat of a real car. (Almost three dimensional). Plus, if I choose I can also "undock" a GPS, radio panel, or other function and place it on a small section of whichever screen I choose as well which only takes up a small portion of either screen and doesn't affect their overall continuous view. The three screens without scrolling don't give you a full 180* view. But they are probably as close to what you can see by moving your eyes without turning your head while in the cockpit. Speaking of turning your head. If you want to look far left or right just select the side screen in the direction you want to look then scroll that screen only towards the outside. This is like turning your head except you still have the full straight ahead view on one monitor and the untouched side view on the untouched side monitor.
  11. Another issue you need to be aware of. MSFS uses an entirely different format for flight inputs such as raising and lowering gear, flaps, etc.. If you've used FSX, FS9, P3D, etc. none of the inputs are the same as those for MSFS. I'm assuming that's to put it on the XBOX format. The first time I tried to fly MSFS I was totally befuddled so I looked up and printed out their controls listings. I still haven't managed to get most of the presets I've used with my yoke or joystick to work. But then again having only one view at a time, again so people can play with XBox, I've not bothered for sometime as I like having three views to simulate looking out RW in a plane. I feel I wasted my money on MSFS and won't fool with any XBox stuff again.
  12. Nice short hop series. And I love the topography contrast from your Greece shots.
  13. Great series! And you have to love any shots showing Greece. Having said that, the copilot's view of the approach was stunning! Michael
  14. tiger1962, I hope for your sake you're correct. But that's not at all what I understand from several security sites.
  15. +1!! My first "flight" was as a passenger in a Piper Cub all the way around a short grass runway twice. The pilot had seen my standing and staring several times and asked if I'd like a ride? Since then I flew as a PIC (Pilot In Charge) as soon a I could get a license till I could no longer pass a Flight Physical. Now I sim and try to make it s close to RW as I can. But I try to remember many others consider flight sim a game. If that works, why not? Maybe a spark of interest in RW flying will occur. If not, that's OK too. NFM please feel welcome here! Michael
  16. Well done as always JK! Your posts make my day!
  17. Or like me, you can opt to not buy or use products that require you to provide personal info. As long as we pay for and also subscribe for products we already bought, companies will milk our info for other ways to get our money. Plus they often/usually sell our info to others who want to make a profit off of us as well.,
  18. You are correct. I just used Wikipedia and found out how varied a product line English Electric has or at least had at one time. And that sure seems to be a sweet aircraft of its' era!! Having said that, IMO battery powered trainers are the wave of affordable GA pilot training of the future.
  19. Plus !! Other things to be spending thoughts in the cockpit on rather than converting digital time to the analog we're already used to. IMO the same principle applies to wrist watches as well.
  20. Gotta love that big bird! For one thing they had lots of leg and shoulder room. Flying in the newer single aisle planes always reminds me of finding sardines packed in their tin.
  21. I noticed all those aircraft shown were still dry so you're probably right. It wasn't likely PEER'S issue.
