  1. Well said! And the other advantage I see is that once you download them, they are there on your hard drive. You don't have to go online and wade for all the inane hours of updates of the new online sim just to fly where you choose to fly! I still don't understand how someone, me in this case, must spend hours upon hours with mandatory updates to use some software I already bought, paid for, and choose to use without Big Brother monitoring every key stroke I choose to make on a product I already paid for!!!!!
  2. I agree 100%!! Many if not most people alive today haven't clue!
  3. Looking Scary! I'm glad it's one of ours!
  4. Sweet shots! Those FSX planes are great! I never got the chance to even sit in an F-8. But I always thought it was the best looking bird I ever saw in USMC livery.
  5. I agree! It was the most exciting plane I ever was a passenger in for sure! I didn't even miss not having a stewardess!
  6. I agree! IMO the best entertainment Vegas has to offer is the buffets.
  7. Why is the only copilot I see in the ad a woman? There have been many female PICS for decades. Some women have soloed around the world. And men are often copilots before they become a PIC. If they don't include a man as a copilot and/or a woman as a pilot, this whole program seems very sexist to me.
  8. Thanks for that Aviation Heritage Link! I've been to several air museums in various countries and also visited Hamilton several times. Especially when I worked in the automobile industry. But sadly, I didn't know that museum was there. Should I have occasion to go back up to Hamilton I'll try to drop in for a look around. And I strongly suggest others check out the link you posted. It appears to be a very nice museum with several interesting aircraft. Enough so that I would think people who plot those airstrips for sims would find this one worth the effort. Rupert
  9. It's not freeware but ORBX has tons of really great scenery software from airports to countries and continents that should really enhance your flying experience. Try a free "Demo" version and decide if it's worth your investment.
  10. +1! I had that happen. I built a new computer for speed and multiple monitors then I had to convince Microsoft that I wasn't passing on or selling my old computer to someone else with FSX still functional.
  11. Sweet flight Darryl. And when the weather is that nice way up there in the North this time of the year, the flight's probably smoother than expected as well.
  12. Great link! Anytime someone takes that much interest in any history is a good thing! History that sounds that good over head is just an added bonus.
  13. WOW! What sweet aircraft! Even more planes to learn about and enjoy. Great post Khalid! I can't believe I hadn't noticed it before now! Michael

Great thread!! So glad we were all reminded of Ms Mock's epic flight and of 38 Charlie! It sounds like I need to sim a few long cross countries again as well. Michael
  15. And often, but certainly not every time, the newer version is an improvement over the older one.
  16. Nice shots. Having said that, I'm not a fan of any AI. in my automobile. I have hands, feet, and eyes plus I still know how to look out the windshield, I don't need a device to drive for me while I text, clap my hands, or play video games, or in a verified instance, taking a nap complete with a pillow in the drivers seat of a Tesla!! IMO there is a great exception to that rule. The new Auto Land systems some RW GA manufacturers have started installing on new aircraft is IMO a wonderful idea! If a GA pilot has a heart attack or whatever, anyone aboard an Auto Land equipped aircraft can pull a single lever to engage Auto Land. The plane will then find an appropriate airport, announce it's approach and the need for 911 help, then safely land the aircraft without human intervention. Recently RW a CJ was flying from somewhere in the South to a destination in New England, if I remember correctly. The professional Pilot In Charge passed out and the plane continued on auto pilot till it ran out of fuel. The following crash killed not only the pilot but also a young mother and her small, I believe infant child, who were passengers aboard with no concept of operating aircraft flight controls. They were flying around for hours or more without any chance and the mother knowing they were all going to die in the crash. Auto Land probably would have saved at least two lives that day, and possibly the pilot's as well. How cool would that have been!
  17. Another glorious Blast From The Past!! And I love both paints.
  18. Nice flight! The Spirit Flight landing in the background is another added sight of interest! Well Done!
  19. Nice shots! And I still think the original Coach Class seats in the 707 were more comfortable than any Coach Class seating I've ever sat in! Though the huge upgrade seats in the "Piano Bar Sky Lounge" of a 747 were even nicer.
  20. Great shots Bill!! And my recently passed brother in law worked for FedEx since before they opened their "Memphis" hub. Which is actually mostly in Mississippi, would have agreed with your title line. Having said that as I live in Kentucky. and have neighbors who work and/or fly for either UPS out of SDF or DHL out of CVG,, I will say FedEx has lots of competition in terms of overnight delivery in the US. Michael
  21. Great shots Bill!! And I'll bet you haven't spent hours and hours trying to download info to get that scenery either!
  22. Really! Will that work on the current 2020 version I already own? How and where do I get that info??
