  1. Alternative is the Carenado DA62 G1000 for Prepar3d 4.x https://www.carenado.com/sitecarenado/product/da62-fsx-p3d/ Does not officially support v5 but there is a patch for it https://carenado.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360046625614-Installing-Carenado-aircraft-in-P3Dv5
  2. Thanks Loki, Don't want to buy a 2K monitor now and then later buy a 4K after getting the faster GPU. I'm going to wait for a RTX4080 or a RTX5080 but need a monitor now.
  3. How does running a 4K monitor below the native resolution look such as 2560 X 1440, or 1920 x 1080? Thought maybe could do this letting the display upscale the image until I get a faster GPU
  4. Flying for more then a hour bores me, so short hops. Anything longer such as international, grab the SR-71 and run afterburners the entire way. :)
  5. Tim, bought the 10Tb drive before the sim was released with the intention of creating scenery for off-line use. But as of now, I get the usual nonsense of "Please insert disk" when I try running without internet. I also created a 1Tb Rolling Cache. When I started making the cache, figured probably take about as long as formatting a drive. After a hour or two walked away and left it alone. About 30 hours later it was finally done. This was BEFORE Asobo added any indication of progress. cianpars, are you deleting just the scenery areas within the sim or deleting the whole cache file outside the sim?
  6. ...within the settings, but I don't see a delete button other then zeroing out the cache size. Is there a reason I should not just delete it in the Windows folder? BTW, I never created any scenery areas yet because I was waitng for the sim to mature a bit first. Don't really want to mess with deleting it because I made a 9Tb manual cache and it took about 30 HOURS!
  7. ORBX is recommending to uninstall the London City Pack due to buildings being doubled up, etc. until they can make the necessary changes. They said about a week. Also noticed the water around EGLC is funky and will also need to be updated.
  8. Probably Drzewiecki Design (ul. Rawicka 22 04-817 Warszawa Poland) is doing the final certification :)
  9. Thought it was suppose to release Feb 11...If it's not ready it's not ready Mine hung on one of the splash screens the other day so exited out to restart and noticed Windows updates were waiting. After that MSFS loaded OK.
  10. I run it on Windows 7 with a 1920x1080, 16:9 monitor. FS2000 supports 1280x720x32 resolution which is a 16:9 aspect ratio and looks great.
  11. The last update changed the rudder axis on my X-box 360 Controller from Rudder Axis to Rudder L/R YAW. Difference being the rudder no longer returned to center when buttons released. Here is a web picture of what changed... Changed it back and all is well. See if this changed on you.
  12. By default, yes. However you can specify where Windows installs Apps BEFORE installing MSFS OR you can move it. There are plenty of articles on the web on how to do it, here's one... https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-files/windows-10-how-can-i-move-apps-to-a-new-drive/0160b136-2cf5-4022-8096-408b0e29c429 My main MSFS folder AND the Apps portion now reside on my D: drive I also have Prepar3d v5.1 which likes to put add-ons in the Documents folder. Since it can grow rather large, I also moved that to the D: drive.
  13. Hi jimmci Could you please post the same screenshots (in 32:9) as above for comparison?
  14. Seems a 16:9 is what is cropping the ends of what a ultrawide/superwide user sees. ed1 you can still always pan in or out to adjust your view. I'm deciding on a 21:9 or a 32:9 myself. Your second screenshot answers a question I had, whether the HUD gauges move to the edges of the screen. With a 32:9 you would have to really look over to the sides to see them unless they can be moved closer to the center.
  15. I don't think anything is wrong with your pedals. Last patch screwed up my game pad rudders. They no longer center when released.
  16. I think you meant LOADING, not installing. Yes, I've noticed same. Sometimes the aircraft won't fully load when VAS gets low and will start having missing textures.
  17. One of the two patches added DX10 preview if I'm not mistaken. Just get FSX Acceleration and they will be installed automatically.
  18. Have not flown awhile because I've been caught up watching crazy world events unfold. Went to play MSFS 2020 and was greeted with update 1.12.13.0 I'm using a X-Box 360 controller for Windows and went to apply some rudder with the Z Axis and rolled over and crashed. Seems the Z axis no longer works as a rudder control but now more like rudder trim. Rudder does not return to center when buttons are released. This is like Boeing quietly adding MCAS without telling pilots. Why did Asobo do this and what fixes it?
  19. Notice the common denominator on these 4 paints is they have the lettering in the same place as the default 747. Anything else comes out mirrored backwards.
  20. Thanks Tiger, I'll try them out. Rather have 4 good ones than 10 bad ones :) Sounds like Asobo STILL needs to fix this, but for now acceptable.
  21. THIS^^^ Always wondered why the default livery appears normal on both sides, even the lettering and add ons do not. The 787 also is the same. Where do you find Mcambel's liveries?
  22. FSUIPC has a built in VAS monitor that gives out chimes when VAS is getting low and also has a log file.
  23. After playing GTA V, I'm spoiled as to what a realistic ocean looks like... To make the waves look right with the wind speed in MSFS, makes it too hard to control your aircraft
  24. According to this... https://blurbusters.com/gsync/supported-graphics-cards/ You need a Pascal (1080 series) or greater for G-Sync to work with AMD FreeSync, leaves me out.
