  1. I recall this is exactly how it went for me also, worked one time. One thing is I set up my computer for off-line BEFORE I installed MSFS, if that matters. Also remember MSFS asking if I wanted to use the on-line mode when installing it. Naturally wanted to be able to do that, but wonder what would have been the result if I chose NO. Still trying to figure out why the download version would even ask for a disk in the first place.
  2. I tried following these instructions months before and can't get it to work. Also says can only do this three times per year. Still get insert disk message. Any more ideas Loki?
  3. Asobos road map says helicopters not until 2022. That could mean as late as December 2022. :( If there is a mod out there somewhere, I wouldn't care how bad the physics are as long as it hovered and was reasonably controllable.
  4. Will that work with helicoptors? I have several Virtavia models I want to port over.
  5. In the Content Manager, just place a check mark next to whatever you want to delete. Delete button will then appear at bottom. Delete. It will now show as being available to download.
  6. Pre-ordered the Premium Deluxe BOXED. The shipping deadline came and went. A few weeks later cancelled the order and got my money back. Bought the Premium Deluxe DOWNLOAD from Microsoft and as others mentioned have not flown all the aircraft yet, but glad I got it and will get to them eventually. A few weeks ago the BOXED version that I got my money back for arrived at my doorstep. A person is under no obligation to pay for something that comes in the mail that essentially I didn't order when I cancelled it. So I either got a two for one deal, or if I sell the BOXED version I will have made money on my MSFS purchase. :) Still have not even opened it and not sure what to do with it.
  7. I moved (NOT DELETED) the LOWI Airport by Asobo from the Official folder because at the moment it conflicts with LOWI Airport by ORBX. This was recommended by ORBX. What happens is it will show in your Content Manager as being available to download with no apparent adverse affects. So if you want it back, you should be able to just download the package again. You will notice there is a Delete button right at the bottom of the Content Manger. You check what to delete then hit the button. If your going to do it, pay attention to the Dependencies. Example is some Missions required a certain model of aircraft. Just don't go DIRECTLY deleting anything vital from the Official folder that might cause MSFS to not even start up. Otherwise you will have to reinstall the whole thing again.
  8. THIS!!! Also after they took out the Press any key to continue screen, it was replaced with a black screen that also made you wonder what was going on. They have since fixed it though.
  9. :) My monitors fine guys. I even considered turning down the green however this would naturally effect all other things computer. It was only when I followed a route that I drove back and forth, 5 days a week and decided to fly it that I noticed it. I should have never taken the blue pill and just lived in ignorant bliss!
  10. in the Data section of General... Rolling Cache. You can specify size here too. There is also a Manual Cache.
  11. Never noticed this until I took a aerial road trip from Page, AZ to Las Vegas, NV in the Cessna 172. Interstate, secondary roads, etc all have a UGLY GREEN tint. Seems to be a global issue and there are several posts at MSFS forums. Also noticed there are a lot of vehicles burned into the roadways from the satellite data. Hope they can fix these two issues because it messes up the immersion of a otherwise great flight.
  12. That's what I did, change Windows to install Apps onto D: (Will create a few folders there.) Then when you install MSFS, watch for the prompt of where it installs, be sure to specify D: also. After installing MSFS, you will probably want to change where the cache saves to in the settings.

  14. "Joy factor" eh? Is that the wave that came over me after all the melted candle landmarks now had detail! I think the words "F'ing COOL!" escaped my lips. Still can't find the Hearst Castle in San Simeon, CA though.
  15. BTW, if you have A2A 3D Lights Redux... ...Or don't mind buying it ($14.99 USD), I made a tool to quickly add the 3D lights to all the Traffic 360 AI aircraft that really transforms your sim (Also did my Ultimate Traffic Live). It works by looking for the default FSX lights (NAV, Beacon, Strobe, Landing, Taxi) and replaces them with the A2A 3D lights. Look for... a2a_shockwave_3d_lights_redux_aircraft_cfg_installer_macro.zip in the FlightSim library.
  16. Thank Brian, Of course I was mentioning the Military traffic in Traffic 360. But glad you mentioned it for Traffic Global. I checked their forum and found this... I need a AI program myself for P3D v5.1. I have Ultimate Traffic Live, but waiting for a official update that they said would be free for existing customers. Or was considering Traffic Global myself. Since no Military, guess I'll just wait for UTL P3D v5.1
  17. Obviously you would have to use a livery compatible to the model, otherwise it would show up un-textured in FSX. I meant complete replacement model and texture. If your going to experiment, try a single livery model first. Move the existing aircraft folder somewhere safe so you can restore it back. I would name the replacement aircraft folder the same as the original. Then as mentioned, just change the "title=" and nothing else. Then test to see if you can see the model when you run FSX.
  18. EDIT: Thank you Tiger, exclude polygons is the phrase I was thinking of. LOWI - I ran all the way down the runway and there was a hump about 3/4 the way down. Since there are so many other places to fly, I'm not going to bother removing the default LOWI as suggested. Sounds like ORBX is talking to ASOBO about it and I think ORBX will just update whats necessary. I get ORBX through their Central app. One day soon there will probably be a update to download. I got 150Mbps download speed, frankly don't understand why that would affect it. Unless you have Dial-up, I would think MSFS downloads the scenery before you touch down.
  19. I posed this question (Under my alter ego Mach 2) at ORBX Forum... https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/202405-msfs-v11160-lowi-update-and-orbxs-addon/ FSX would prioritize scenery by being listed higher in the scenery.cfg, not sure how MSFS works. But sounds like they coexist together from what is said in the above thread. Maybe the replacement scenery can remove elements?
  20. OK, did not know if you had the patch or not. Your correct, JustFlight uses their own inhouse AI models. In my opinion they are the best because they had more models including military populating all the airforce bases, ect. All liveries were real world with the exception of American Airlines, and there was always somebody making replacements for the generic liveries. I have that saved on my backup drive. The Ultimate Traffic series used off the shelf AI models from various guys like The Fruit Stand. You can find several newer liveries for them. AI programs identify the AI models/liveries by looking at the "title=" inside the aircraft.cfg, so you could actually replace them with another model and livery if you change the "title=" to match EXACTLY. Then Traffic 360 would work with what ever you replaced without having to recompile .BGL files and use the existing flightplan. If you only have a few AI models you want to change, this would be simple to do. I would rather just BUY AI programs then mess around with all the details. So it might be worth it to just get the latest Traffic Global from JustFlight and EVERYTHING would be refreshed.
  21. Do you have the boxed DVD or did you download it? Here is a link to update it to version 1.09 anyways... https://support.justflight.com/en/support/solutions/articles/17000067326-traffic-360-dvd-users-only-changelog
  22. I would suggest after SP1 and SP2, that you install Steve's DX10 Scenery Fixer. I think it's fair to call it SP3.
