  1. ...with animated Dinosaurs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9Ebpen19ws All required components in YouTube video
  2. You can't just move folders and expect a program to find them. In your case you should use Add-on Linker. It only places a small link in the Community folder to where you want to keep the large files.
  3. Knock on plastic. Don't forget to empty out your Community folders before updating.
  4. Perhaps the license for the disk remains on your computer allowing for the download Premium Deluxe. Check the version numbers for the aircraft in Content and see if they change to later versions when updating. I ordered the Premium Deluxe disk set myself when it first became available. The shipping date came and went, so I cancelled it and got my money back. I bought the Premium Deluxe download and installed that. The disk version later arrived on my doorstep and so far have not even opened it, so I got a two for one deal :)
  5. They are charging when you buy a like product when migrating to MSFS2020. At least they offer a "Bundle" discount to do so that I don't mind taking advantage of instead of waiting for it to go on sale.
  6. No Problemo :) Wondering if any of the ORBX products will need updates, I have several that I bought for FSX and was thrilled to see ORBX just give them to you when you installed Prepar3D
  7. Read this from Nick Cooper at ORBX... https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/192424-installing-a-p3d-v5-hotfix-or-update-correctly/
  8. Always good to have a few brave souls pave the way :) I'll still wait. This is second hand cause of above issue...
  9. This... Believe I'll wait for the first 5.2 Hotfix.
  10. There is plenty of information googling your question. In a nutshell though, FSX uses mostly DTX5 .dds for its textures. 32bit is the best for detail, but can cause out of memory (AKA OOM) errors on complex aircraft such as PMDG, QualityWings etc. Also FSX doesn't care if its .bmp or .dds however .dds are slightly faster because they are stored upside down which is one less processing step because graphic programs (ie FSX) will flip .bmp WHILE applying textures to a model. You should compare the texture folders of a 32bit vs DXT5 to see the difference in storage space. DXT5 is substantially smaller.
  11. If it works out for you in MSFS, I might try it next time I purchase a lottery ticket :)
  12. I could see where older saved flights could cause CTD (and as you've experienced) as it attempts to use previous version data. Probably best to delete them.
  13. Only obvious thing I saw with ORBX products was the Content page said they (and all other add-ons) were "Not Installed" when they were in fact installed. This has been corrected in later update. Guess trial and error are the only way to know which add-ons are a problem. One thing ORBX recommends though is this... https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/203810-the-rolling-cache-and-new-scenery-installations/
  14. One question... Do you have any add-ons in your Community folder? It's well documented that older add-ons can cause problems for latest updates. Only add-ons I have are ORBX scenery and FSUIPC7 and also a few repaints. The add-ons that directly effect aircraft etc. can be troublesome until a updated add-on can be obtained. Try moving any add-ons out of the Community folder and restart your computer/sim. I agree with your belief...the last thing you want to do is reinstall the sim since it worked OK before.
  15. FREE Nvidia produced scenery from ORBX... Now just need a free RTX3090 :)
  16. Possibly a repaint or mod in the Community folder not compatible, try moving any TBM add-ons out temporally and see if that fixes it. Or maybe a corrupt download. You could try going into Content, deleting it, then re download it.
  17. I saw that big update for CH Products and dragged all my controllers out and set them up no issues. Just one question though. Is it possible to add a image as the default image is the generic controller blank? Maybe a .jpg dropped into a certain folder?
  18. Looking at your example made me wonder if the river was flooded or maybe the bridge was misplaced on the river. So I looked at a real image... WOW! That's quite a steep approach to the bridge. Maybe sending examples to Asobo might get them fixed in a future update. If not, keep a eye out for third party scenery.
  19. Well hey... at least you didn't do like some newbs do and reinstall Windows and then MS2020 only to find you have the same issue!
  20. correction...Bing Maps because Microsoft. There are a few military planes in FS2020 Marketplace
  21. If you search on google you can find direct downloads (simshack) and also even the boxed DVD at Walmart. EDIT: One other thing about JustFlight is they use a generic American Airlines livery so not to infringe on copyright but you can find real replacements.
  22. Just Flight uses their own in house AI models, they even went so far as to use FSX native .DDS textures (rather then .BMP) and I have no issues with frame rates. I was impressed flying to Guantanamo Bay and finding fighters and C-130's roaming around the base. With Ultimate Traffic there was no traffic. Being a older AI program don't expect latest liveries though.
