This tiny corner of the monitor is the most important part of your computer for related performance issues Clicking with the mouse it shows you which programs are running (thus eating ram, cpu and gpu I know this for the last 20 years but there are still people who dont know As you can ser I only have 3 icons one is the USB drive (meaning is ready to use) the other is the Nvidia settings control panel a third one is the Audio HD driver but thats not necessary either so I can close it also If you have more programs there, specially antivirus, Vpn or any other program, your i7 maybe performing like an i3 or i5 so you waste money in a top cpu but by letting other programs eat resources you have actually a weak cpu that will render less fps Other programs or windows services also eat resources and can be seen in ctrl-alt-del processes but thats trickier

Im no expert, sure someone will habve better info i change mine from 8 to 16 before installing the sim. but i think little will change between 16 and 32. Ram is useful for aplications within windows, switching apps etc MSFS is dependent on CPU power and GPU vram

But it lacked immersion in all the rest P3D has also versions for school flying where your instructor can fly along, communicate, etc. I fired up Xplane 11.5 this week and noticed that MSFS has better flying response to weather changes, temperature changes and the overall flying trepidation of movement across air I dont use GARMIN, my flying is either done in analogue C152 C172 or i use FMC in airliners Garmins are not from my days and besides in the sim they take a lot of the fun by occupying large percentages of your monito screen cheers

Im a PP since 1978, active in the 80s and 90s flying Piper Cherokee and C172, and co-pilot hours in twin Navajo here in Brazil for the local state government. I didnt understand the "chameleon green" thing is sort of a joke? the youtube link is about a video that says nothing new It says MSFS is better in overall visuals and default planes but some xplane third party addons are better? There are no addons in MSFS so whats the point in the comparison? orange with apples And another thing, I regard the Airbus with the free Mod addon better than the addons available for Xplane

I saw the video and was appalled by the difference and superiority of MSFS The claim about xplane more realistic airplanes is totally bias First he admits default MSFS are better than default Xplane and then goes to talk about third party addons, which MSFS still doesn't have because its less than a month old This is an aviation channel youtuber who has obviously been paid to make this subtle "advertising" video. Austin will pay hundreds of youtubers to do similar videos. Do what you want. Use the sim you like most This last monday I re-installed Xplane and flew around a bit. Couldn't stand it anymore. Interrupted the flight, quit xplane and uninstalled it...a second time! The flying forces and response to flying (I am a real PP pilot) are inferior to MSFS

Its the scare out of all this blacklivesmatter thing, companies are scared of being accused of non-political correct or favoring oppression. the place where you go to Configure your MSFS ESC GENERAL FLIGHT MODEL On top there is a wording either LEGACY or MODERN , change it to MODERN and then several sliders, which I leave at 100% make sure you take a good look at all your GENERAL and ASSISTANCE settings because every time you think its a problem thats the first place to check

In Windows Go to MS Store with your sim closed Make sure you are looged on to your MS account Find your MSFlightsimulator On the three dots up left corner ... click and select play-download whatever it offers... wait for the download to complete (about 900mb short file) after that open the sim and will carry the remaining gigabite download without interruptions many of the download pauses are caused by log accounts into MS not recognizing if you start the update in the MS Store already logged in...no problems!

Open Start go to the MSFS app settings click on "Move" and select your D drive It happened with me, the first tine at install it didnt install all the files in D, Move it as above and the double community folders disappear

I dont understand what is your problem because you dont say so! Is it with Sidewinder? is it because you are annoyed the update is 95gb? The thing is I have the exact same joystick a Sidewinder, and its working perfectly. And no, after the first patch it didnt lose any settings or functions. After the second patch it didnt lose any setting or function either. The only thing the second patch did was that Sensitivity is disabled, as discussed in many threads. MS has acknowledge this. Apparently it was necessary to check if all brands work (otherwise when some folk opens a ticket saying "controls are all jerky" they would never know if the user messed up the sensitivity settings. It will be reinstated soon. It doesn't affect my Sidewinder at all, still working as usual. And about joystick config that you say spent time making it work this was a common cry in august in the week after launch by people that didn't know how to configure. Many threads about this. The proof it was a user problem is that the threads stopped, now there are tips and tricks and youtube videos and people find the threads explaining how-to and dont open threads complaining about joystick configure anymore

Thats great Aaron The Flight Model has the Legacy and Modern mode., I should have suggested you that in the first place as I did in another thread in a similar case. But you know, there's is a psychological factor that easily fools us. In a real plane we are sitting in a 3D world and feeling the forces even to make the plane taxi, to close the door, to enter the plane, we feel them thru our bottom and spine. Our muscles apply pressure on surfaces on a different magnitude than in the sim. Even to turn a knob. Sitting in a computer we adjust to keyboard-joystick reality of periphereals. Two fingers to correct things in a monitor. Your chair is not moving. Its all pretending. Thats why we dont apply pressure on the toke as we would in real life.

This addon was the first for MSFS and is available since August, saw it in the marketplace more than a week ago but didnt rush to download it, sceneries dont atract my atention, there is enough scenery in the sim to explore
