  1. I suppose you did a Restart...close the sim, restart Check if Multiplayer OFF Enable Dev mode, check if volumetric clouds are disabled
  2. Even when you load a full plan, ATC doesn't necessarily give the runway/sid you selected in the plan, neither in real life. Wind change, traffic, runway can change. Same on arrival. Thats why pilots do have a lot work to do in these cases. Prepare a new arrival procedure, study, brief, program fmc etc
  3. You filed an IFR flight from departure to ....nothing Once onboard you contact clearance who already have your IFR in hand, which says exactly that, take off to ....nowhere. What you do in the FMC, ATC is unaware, you are just feeding inputs to the plane The ATC is limited, it doesnt capture the fmc data Also you cannot add destination airport as a new flight plan directly to atc, you can only choose airports around and farther from you to land once you are in the air. Hope in future we will be able to load a plan "as per the fmc" when contacting ATC
  4. Have you tried the drop down menu and fuel manualy, Its the Weigh symbol
  5. agree Sidewinder II is the best joystick, bought mine in 1999 rudder is great on axis Z hat switch, sensitivity giving some counter-pressure etc
  6. I have the Sindewinder II (although force feedback doesnt work anymore) Its working fine in MSFS but i had to configure it manually check tutorials in youtube
  7. sure https://github.com/flybywiresim/a32nx click on the green CODE then chose download zip unpackit copy past the main root folder in Community folder
  8. Thats good news cause there are many users using full controllers for home-cockpits that are having issues with their controls and come to complain about their hardware issues. Some even by controllers from amateur builders. One thing that is clear to me is the ones responsible for issuing fixes and support for hardware are the manufacturers themselves. Unless its a common joystick that has been in the world-market for decades like the Sidewinder each manufacturer must provide solutions for their products compatibility and support in their forums. We have a case here of a user upset that has nearly turned into a troller because he hasnt been able to use/configure his expensive control with full pedestal. I asked him what brand was or a photo, it was clearly home-made hardware. So just ask whoever sold it to you
  9. No, he meant you shouldnt use AI control, of i you go too much into Showcase camera AI control takes over If you arent using I believe the default fuel consumption does have an issue as I read in MSFS forums. If you want correct consumption suggest you use the 787 Mod
  10. one thing im sure they will fix soon is this unbelievable gallon-pounds weight unit that is not used anywhere (i believe) even american Boeing uses KILOGRAMS Maybe in GA America they still use gallons because of the selling-packaging volumes of fuel, but in Airliners its KILOS everywhere, an international standard. I dont know why the society standards haven't changed yet. Metric system is so much better and perfect. Its the basis of MATHS science, 1 double is 2 the half of 10 is 5 there are ten units of one in ten, 10 times 10 is a hundred, etc. same with kilos, a thousand kilos is a ton, in one kilo there are 1000 grams etc. Some day it will change for sure. No wonder the math phycists genius came from germany which was on metric and hindus In the sim it looks a classic overseen decision by french computer programmers sitting in a desk, that although might have taken real flying lessons or took a PP license, they just didnt consult a real airline pilot about the weight issue. "Lets put an american system to please the americans and the pound system for europeans" And they didnt please either
  11. https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?325661-Not-Trolling!-Problems-post-patch-2 posts 3-4 and 5 its a known issue if want a fix now install the dev MOD or put more fuel in center
  12. No, they are working fine Restart or go to windows app setting and do a Repair or see if in MS STORE there are still files to be downloaded
  13. sure https://github.com/flybywiresim/a32nx click on the green CODE then chose download zip unpackit copy past the main root folder in Community folder
  14. From the drop down menu click on the far right Settings option and RESET PANELS then see if it works
  15. thats a good question, i dont know its being discussed in msfs forums there is some electrical fault affecting it hope they resolve it soon but the new dev beta MOD has corrected if you use it
  16. And I ll say more regarding this For years (if not more than a decade) PMDG which is an expensive payware instructed simmers that they had to start first with a default plane, then load the pmdg because of a FSX bug
  17. Maybe you have missed what was already discussed about "not being ready" https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?325566-16th-Sept-quot-big-quot-Patch-works-fine-for-me&p=2126308#post2126308
  18. I completely disagree! You obviously havent been in the MSFS forums Each issue is being discusses hundreds of times in repeated threads (together with thousands of unexisting issues or user caused) Even if MSFS team reads them 24hs they wouldnt be able to read them all Then they are being reported at Zendesk No MSFS team has time to come to flightsim.com forum and read your pleas This is not a forum to report Bugs, or if you do it will have no effect Here we can help each other when its a user lack of knowledge or workarounds to existing bugs that will still allow you to fly and enjoy in the meantime, while learning something in the process
  19. How much fuel have you got in the center tank? little fuel on it is causing MFD problems
  20. In Dev Mode, open one of the menu tabs on top left (im. Ot at pc right now) and the “display fps” will show ticked, unchecke it to make it go away, close the sim. Switch back to normal mode, apply and save. Restart
  21. The foggy brightness from within the panel was actually worse before the patch. Now its working more like real, when your vision focus on the panel the outside view gets blurred foggy and bright if clear skies, but when you set view for a height and angle at the window level the vision is clear Check what angle of sight (with the hat pan switch) you are perceiving that brightness, it changes
  22. Apparently they havent made it available in the steam panels. In the C172 you can check distance in the G530 nearest VOR function, but its not the same thing. Hopefully the Dev MOD at Github.com for C152X and the 172 will soon make it available Paywares will. Carenado Mooney Ovation released this week has DME displayed in vors
  23. There are two places you must check for live weather first in World Map when you open the weather box, check live below right Then once onboard the plane from the drop down list check live weather is selected
  24. And in the 60s VORs were a rarity and DME virtually non existant, mostly ADF In the 50s and prior ADF were a high tech instrument, its predecessor were simply radio AM stations. You switched the dial (rotating dial as an old radio) and when you hear the music or the guy talking, yep, thats the station, an arrow indicated its estimated direction. Morse code beeps came later The first radio type gave the direction of the station based on a fixed 360 rose, relative direction from your heading, which required further calculations, then came the Omni directional Beacon Indicator, which gave a real direction from your actual heading Planes had 2 adf , in flight plan you would select waypoints to mark your position that were an intersection of two stations. Example you follow straight to one but to know where you are you mark a 90 degrees from the arrow of a second station. Also done with VOR that has no dme In the 50s (all thru the 70s) transatlantic airliners had a navigator. As you know there are no ADF in the sea so during the ocean crossing your position an heading had to be determined by the stars by the navigator, using sextants and charts, carefully plotting wind, estimates etc. This was specially true in south Atlantic crossings from Brazil to Africa and then Casablanca and London.
