  1. I agree thats why I said "in real life" its amazing to have it, a wonderful feeling of security But in the sim its just a "solve the puzzle for me" piece of xxxt :) Also if you sim to recreate old times no point either and if someone uploads a freeware spacecraft that flies from Ny to London just by pressing a single button Im not downloading it either
  2. Yes I know, never saw it 40 years of flying Its the future starting to arrive. Like Tesla auto cars Its nice in real life, not for simming Thats why I don't like Garmin's either The automation of flying Garnins are a basic form of "AI Control" and since I never use AI Control because its a game spoiler, a "solve game for dummies" ...dont like garmins
  3. Got a tip from someone Fixes a serious of problems that we think are "bugs" apparently there are too many keys (keyboard) assigned to systems, mainly autopilot. Since I never use the keyboard other than for Menu keys or some classic one letter-input like L for lights in case I dont want to do it manually, I kept the most common keyboard keys that I use and deleted all the rest (electric, nav, fuel, surfaces, autopilot, etc)
  4. This feature already enabled in modern garmins? https://www.facebook.com/FlyingMagazine/videos/841029753018612/?vh=e&extid=hPyGmG2ojAANmMm7&d=w
  5. We need better taxi markings and showing up in the VFR map In the meantime you can enable Taxi Cues in ASSISTANCE
  6. they are not disabled. If you put wind in the drop down menu weather at 60 kts you will get a beautiful sea with moving waves and white foam crests the problem is the logic relation with wind speed. In real life wind will cause the sea to be wavy just at 15 kts Some good soul need to find out which sim file we must tweak to show rough sea at slower wind speeds pic taken just now outside sfco bay
  7. One analogue nice for both Bush flying and IFR, Mooney Ovation is out already
  8. Thats True! I have seen many pre-release news and articles Also true is the new sim has many bugs. About early release correct also. Personally Im glad it was early and I am able to fly, help fill the issue list so they are resolved faster than with Beta testers That causes us to spend a lot of time in Forums, both here and elsewhere, learning workarounds, helping others, checking if really a bug or user related quote ftldave It has nothing to do with turning blind or deaf to problems Its about some users from other versions "in a campaign", not merely comparing, but bashing and repeating the same posts (copy/paste) in different threads in a clear troll fashion. Something that in the past would be inhibited by mods. and i brought the subject up because the new sim also brings new developing horizons that are very unclear so far and marketing strategies of concern...reason for which some other devs/sites wish to keep versions on top to hold all markets, lets not be naive
  9. right, I programmed it to a joystick button next to my thrust slider so it feels more close and related to it
  10. Exactly, you cant. Its a level of improvement the other sims look cartoonish. And Im not talking just about the scenery, its airports, planes how they shine sound and move, cockpits even as default they have an immersive shine that surpasses other platforms
  11. the Sensitivity settings are badly needed, Im sure they will restore it next patch I had sensitivity reduced by 80% in elevators 50% in ailerons and 15% null zone. It was much comfortable and reallistic i guess they disabled the sensitivities so they could assess joystick functionality across all brands first, without running the risk of user messing the sensitivity by mistake and claiming their joystick doesnt work
  12. You can program any key you wish in Controls keyboard, there is a function “Toggle Reverse thrust” or use the one by default, when pressed, when you you move your thrust slider it will apply reverse, press it again to de-activate
  13. Most probably you have ALT autopilot in FLC (flight level change) in this mode, the autopilot uses the highest VS possible according to your speed/throttle configuration or your fmc. If you have speed or power it will climb fast. Its also usually linked to the flightplan waypoints in FMS, meaning if your waypoint has a speed of 280 kts and you set to climb level change it will climb at a VS that allows it to maintain speed of 280kts If you want to control the fpm you must change the altitude mode to VS, i dont know where you do that in the Citation cause i dont fly it and every plane is diferent, but it shouldnt be hard its there in autopilot panel somewhere
  14. ....as the real autopilot Another reason for being imposible to go back to previous sims that had simplified autopilots.
  15. works fine for me I asked which plane because in ALL planes its in a different location. the Airbus for example, watch this video at 02:00
  16. Yes Herr you were rrright and I was wrrrong. As clear as Black and White You are good and Im bad Oh, and the sim ATC works fine, must be a problem at your end stay safe too, and dont hesitate to ask for help if needed
  17. just made a night flight to Amsterdam https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?325720-Planning-A-Flight-On-The-MCDU&p=2127289#post2127289 Though all in fms at 1000 ft i diconnect AP and fly it manually The airbus responds very smoothly, I did had to increase the brightness that switched itself off but other than that, no trouble logging another hour
  18. Yesterday i was busy But just did a flight EDLP to EHAm In world Map only put departure Made a plan in MCDU requested iFR pl You were correct Got following from atc as normal What could have happened to you is if you have Azure in Sound sometimes low internet conmection mute the sound but you should see the message in atc box
  19. You can transfer from the other tank by using the transfer button next to pitot heat. It only pulls from the right tank. Despite the fuel xfer pump there is an option to select the right tank by flipping the fuel selector (red lever located below the throttle) into the emergency position
  20. nice glider66 but unless you enjoy more being the copiltot I would switch places, sidewinder to the left and throttle pedestal to the right
  21. So, there is the answer... the fresh newbie had already enabled the Dev mode, touched some settings... and he never said it That's why its so difficult to guess what´s wrong with the sim because the user never tells you his muddy steps ...just "Ive just installed it and out of nowhere this happened" we need a psychiatrist hypnosis trace back the steps :)
  22. Hi, am not trying anything here, really I read your post and the line "...and load the sim" You chose your departure on World Map, not on fmc for ATC sake When Atc gives you clearance its reading what you set in World Map (about pilots do have a lot of work due to changes in approach stars etc...i guess its true and you should know dont see the point in being ironic, did i say something wrong?)
