  1. I must have also been lucky, no installation problems and no issues that have stopped me flying. The flight model is waay better than FSX, the scenery is waay better than FSX, the frame rate is waay better than FSX , the ai/real world aircraft look waay better than FSX. The default aircraft have more features than FSX did at release. The weather is waay better than default FSX.... need I go on? Sure there are things i would personally like to improve my home cockpit experience but until that arrives i am having waay more fun than flying FSX which has since departed my PC. My advice, don't wait ! Stinger Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  2. Yes, i used LINDA (which uses fsuipc) to do this for fsx. I was hoping that it was in the default sim too. I guess i will have to wait for the patch to make fsuipc7 usable. [emoji106] Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  3. Is there a way of msfs automatically changing the joystick profile to match the aircraft that you set it up for? It's a bit of a pain having to manually choose the aircraft profile for each aircraft as I have 13 peripherals listed to change. Chers Stinger Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  4. Nice, me too. Just a vfr flight for me in the c172, Alicante to Ibiza. Found out that you can add custom waypoints on your flightplan which is good. Change my mind half way to Mallorca to head for Ibiza instead and used the G1000 direct-to to change the flightplan mid-flight. Cool. The few bugs that i have found so far are easily managed, so basically i am loving it. Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  5. Yes, i think this one is a bug with the active pause. I have had it happen and I have seen a fair few other comments about the same thing. I have switched to just using the escape key but there is the "old fsx syle" pause still available to be assigned in the controls menu if you want it. Stinger Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  6. I would prefer the VFR map to show the assisted taxi route instead of those awful blue arrows in the main window. They are such an immersion killer. Stinger Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  7. I read in another thread somewhere that turning on "Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling" in your PC's graphics settings has helped some with this issue. Go to Settings/display then scroll to the bottom and click "graphics settings ". You need Windows 10 version 2004 and the latest graphics card drivers to see it. 8. How's about sharing the solution with the rest of us? [emoji6] Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  9. Yes, exactly, and we are not alone in thinking this. I'll report back if I manage to fix it. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  10. When my pilots head is pointing slightly down the clouds get washed out and over bright. They look great when my view doesn't include instruments. I read another post on the subject which suggested turning bloom off, however this hasn't helped much. Anyone else having the same experience? I have yet to check that i have the latest graphics driver but this is a brand new machine with a 2080ti. Cheers Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  11. Your suggestions are certainly worth a try but I was on Windows version 1909 when I dowloaded successfully and i dont think my graphics drivers are the latest either. Unfortunately I can't offer any other suggestions other than wait for the patch. Very frustrating for the OP. Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  12. As much as I miss my Embraer Phenom 300 I think that not having it straight off the mark gives me something to look forward to. It also allows me time to fully explore the sim before "putting on my old slippers" I am just having fun trying to land effeciently at the moment with the new flight model [emoji5] Stinger Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  13. Nice tip. Definitely worth checking out... Thanks. Stinger Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  14. I wonder if you can go into Live Pause go back into the flight plan, then delete the missed waypoint whether this would work. Or i think that you may be able to press the FPL button on the G1000 to delete the missed waypoint from there. Stinger Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  15. It would be nice to have a printed version. Looks interesting though. Stinger Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  16. I haven't looked myself but you can probably work this out by checking out the SDK by enabling developer mode in the sim. I would think that it is almost certainly the case that missions will be added by third parties. Stinger Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  17. It depends on your broadband connection speed of course but most most are reporting around 15 hours. 15 hours for me on my 70mb download speed in the UK Stinger Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  18. I love this aircraft already. It's a shame that it's not a bit more "study level". She needs a fair bit of runway as i found to my cost at EGHQ yesterday [emoji15]. Mind you, i forgot to arm the spoilers [emoji23] Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  19. Nice one , thanks for the heads up. [emoji106] Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  20. There's a great book for FSX which covers pretty much everything. A lot would be transferable except the key presses would be different. Its called Microsoft Flight Simulator X for pilots, Real world Training. Written by Jeff Van West and Kevin Lane-cummings. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  21. I have a home cockpit. At the moment it is not possible to undock any instrument windows to drag onto separate screens. Another problem i have is that there seems to be a limit on the number of peripheral devices msfs can deal with. 12 including the keyboard and mouse. I have 13 to run my cockpit. Good luck Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  22. I have to say that i haven't had a problem with it so far. Both the G1000 and G3000 are working ok for me. Following the gps or heading, whichever i choose. Sorry you are having problems. Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  23. Is there a limit in the amount of peripherals msfs will see. I have 13 due to my home cockpit but it is only listing 12 of them? Cheers Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
