  1. I dont think it was my end as it downloaded from another sim site first go within about 10 minutes. Its worrying though because if it was a payware that i was trying to download it is a real issue. I think i will stick to 3rd party sites in future. Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  2. Ok, given up now and gone to an alternative download site. It seems to be downloading ok from this new site. It doesn't bode well for the Marketplace though if these issues persist. Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  3. Annoyingly when it drops out it starts again all over instead of continuing from where it dropped out. I have had about 15 attempts so far and counting....... Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  4. I am trying to download Paderborn airport via the Marketplace but it keeps dropping out. Anyone else had this issue? It drops out at different point in the download each time but i have yet to get it to 1gb out of the 3.47gb. thanks Stinger Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  5. I use the Citation Longitude and with this aircraft you have the option to detach the PFD and MFD screens to move to another monitor. Not the bezels, just the displays. It may work with other aircraft too. To do it.... Press the right alt key on your keyboard ("alt gr" on mine) then hover your mouse over the display you want to detach. It should show a magnifying glass with a plus sign. Then a left mouse click will detach it ready for dragging to another screen. It may be possible to do this with other instruments, i haven't tried it. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  6. I have videos of it on Youtube. Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  7. You think the developers aren't reading this forum too? They probably are and having great fun watching us all struggle to learn this great new sim without a manual [emoji23] And before you say it, yes I know there are 3rd party manuals available ! Mind you, whoever read the manual for their home appliances before ripping them out of the box and trying to get them going first. Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  8. Another point, how is all this going to work with the XBox version. Can you delve into file structures on an XBox? I have never owned one so i dont know if this is even possible. I did a fair bit of scenery design back in the FS2000 to 2004 days. It's not that difficult to provide an installer to simplify the process. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  9. The cards are a simple interface between switches/knobs and buttons. Switch in one side usb cable out the other side. The card appears in Windows and the sim as a joystick. The Leo Bodnar BBI32 has 32 channels which can be used for buttons etc. I use them to interface my home built cockpit switches. No programming is required so they are very easy to use. A simple on/off toggle switch can use 2 channels so for a full home cockpit a lot of channels are required. Hence the 8 cards used by my cockpit. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  10. This is the reason I said in another post that it would have been better for developers to use the Marketplace and install automatically from there. It's fine for us old timers that have spent years copying and pasting folders and delving into file directories to install addons but the younger generation and up-until-now non-pc users won't have a clue. Come on devs, get yer act together. Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  11. Just to let cockpit builders know.... MS/Asobo have confirmed to me (via a reply to a bug report) that there is a maximum number of peripherals seen by MSFS. They seem a little confused because they say that only 7 peripherals are recognised by the sim. However the sim is currently seeing 10 peripherals in my setup but will not recognise any more than that. Perhaps they mean 7 Bodnar cards. The ten recognised.... 1 Rudder pedals 2 Yoke 3 throttle quadrant 4 -10 Bodnar interface cards x 7. They say that there are no plans to change this. Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks for that tip. [emoji106] . Useful for my home cockpit. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  13. Why aren't developers using the inbuilt market place? Already its getting messy with uk2000 and Aerosoft offering downloads outside the marketplace. It would have been nice to keep it to one download place. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  14. As far as i know there are no 2d cockpit options for msfs. Also, at present, it is not possible to drag instruments onto seperate screens like we did in fsx. You can drag the atc window and the vfr map but thats all at the moment. Unless I missed something in the update thst is! Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  15. Great info thanks. I'll let him know [emoji106] Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  16. A friend who is a pilot for a british airline is interested in msfs after seeing it running on my pc. He doesn't possess a PC and wants to know if there is a laptop powerful enough to run it as he would prefer a laptop. I am trying to steer him towards a pc but i thought that i would enquire for him about the possibility of a laptop. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  17. I reported this to Zendesk as a bug and recieved a reply from Asobo. Unfortunately the reply didn't help as they misunderstood my problem as being the type or manufacturer as being the issue. However i know that this is not the case because the sim can see 7 others of the same type (Leo Bodnar cards) and if I unplug one of them and plug in the missing one the sim then can see that one. Is anyone else running a home cockpit with more than 10 peripherals excluding mouse and keyboard that the sim can recognise ok? At least i had a reply though which is encouraging. 18. I think you have to create a NULL profile with no assignments other than the axes which as far as I understand are not yet working in fsuip7. Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  19. Re the traffic...under Options/general/traffic make sure your sliders are not on 0 percent. Then in the part where you choose if you want AI traffic or real world ensure that one of the options are shown in white (option chosen). With regard the ATC under the top menu when you are flying or on the tarmac click the extreme left hand option (looks like a control tower) all the atc tuning/communications are there. Make sure you have the assisted option turned off in Assistance first. Hope this helps Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  20. When you plan your flight, choosing the departure and arrival airports. Once you choose ifr you can see the relevant frequencies if you click on the arrival airport marker. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  21. Can someone please confirm if the Longitude is capturing glideslope ok please. I did a flight into LFMN this afternoon. It captured the localiser ok but not the glideslope. It's probably something i am doing wrong (although i have been using a G3000 for a few years with no problems) but i would like to check. Thanks Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  22. No chance of looking in the camera.cfg to put it right there? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  23. Just so you know, I paused the download a few times during installation and when i restarted it carried on from where i paused it with no trouble. I even rebooted the PC one time too. Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  24. Have you checked the mouse bindings under "controls" to see what has been allocated in the default settings? Perhaps the key bindings aren't what you are used to? Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
