  2. Is your slider for airliners set higher when you open the sim? Col.
  3. Need to rename the texture for it to show, simple error in the aircraft.cfg texture=C3000 (capital C) Col.
  4. When I first started work at the airport I hardly knew one aircraft from another then. I told a guy I had been working on a Dan-Air Trident, he said he never knew that had Tridents, I pointed it over the other side of the apron, course it was B727 lol. Well how was I to know, it had three engines. Col.
  5. I used to like working on the 146, nice aircraft. Col.
  6. Aw sorry, if I find something else I will let you know. Col.
  7. JSMR I left you a comment in the tech section Col.
  8. will this work? https://www.techwalla.com/articles/how-to-register-mscomctlocx https://www.wikihow.com/Register-OCX-Files Col.
  9. Thanks Mark I was looking at some disks on eBay this is more what I meant. Col.
  10. Have you managed to get the file, I can PM you if you need it? Col.
  11. I still have my sims in the original boxes. I have flight, submarine and rail sims. Col.
  12. I went through the process and got the C-130 but what a pain. Thinking about it though the disk was a legal copy and I was not allowed to install because of Windows10 not allowing me to, so in a way they prompted me to turn to a kind of illegal way to install the software. So how does anybody install a program they bought on to W10, not everyone has another PC with W7 on or know of this workaround? Plus some programs you can't just port over they install files within Windows and knowing where to find them can be almost impossible to a lot of people. What we really need is not this work around but a way to enable W10 to read the disks again. After this it has put me off buying anymore pay ware aircraft. Col. Col.
  13. Yes I have swapped some of my engine sounds for ones I like, but keeping the old ones by just renaming them with .BAK, you can always put it back again if you wish. Col.
  14. I did something similar with mine I put my dummy folder on the pen drive then installed to that but same principle. Just been sorting the C-130 stuff as I won't and never will be flying some of them, so they are taking up space. So grateful to Mark though for this, I had almost given up on it. Col.
  15. I once did a fictional paint on an aircraft and sent it to the company thinking they might like it. I got an email back saying if I uploaded this they would take legal action for using their name. I said I had deleted it from my sim which I did and apologised, won't do that again. Col.
  16. Got it installed, you are a genius thank you. Need to sort it properly as there are a few I will never fly so will organise the folders. Just took the 1st one I saw to try. Col
  17. I have a laptop with Windows 7 on that I use for a webcam, I did as instructed and it worked. The problem was the pen drive I used was only 16GB so it ran out of space, I'm now using a 32GB so that should be OK. Everything was installing no problem, anyway 2nd attempt going now as I type but it is working. Thank you so much for your help it is very much appreciated. The 1st one took a while, lots of textures installing, after all there is 24 countries with C-130 versions to install plus all the others stuff. Col.
  18. I did have W7 on that other PC but put W10 on, I often thought should I leave it. Your explanation sounds good, I will give it a go, but what a faff all because of W10, shame we can't enable the driver in W10 to work again. Col.
  19. That too failed, mind you it was on Windows 10 again but just a vanilla FS9, when inserting the C-130 disk it went 3 quarters on the scroll then again back to desktop. Col.
  20. I have often seen some of my screenshots from this forum in Google images when I am looking for a certain aircraft and also many other peeps screenshots can I sue Google lol? Col.
  21. No No don't upset anything your end just to get this working it isn't worth it, I really do appreciate what you are doing. I have another idea I might try tomorrow, I have another PC it needs a decent graphics card that is why I don't use it but I could install FS9 on then see if this C-130 installs on that PC, if it does I will just copy it and transfer it to my working PC. It does bug me but again it is no big loss if it doesn't work, for what I paid for it isn't worth any more trouble after this. Col.
  22. I tried my external DVD player, this time the scroll went further, thought it was going to work, then it stopped just over half way then back to desktop. I'm just downloading at the moment so when that is done I'll try safe mode. Col.
  23. I too bought mine off eBay, I contacted the seller but he had no problem installing but he was on Windows 7. The DVD not autoplay, I also have an external DVD I might plug that it and try it, you never know. Col.
  24. Nope neither of the installers worked, both can't see the DVD drive. I know it works because I have used it on another DVD to check. Thank you guys for trying to help I do appreciate it. Col.
