    Hi Ernest, Thanks for the reply, I looked in AIFP and can't see AIFP.ini looked in AIFP.cfg and nowhere to put a path. I ran the Flight1 repair and it said everything is now fine, but still AIFP can't find FS9 or FSX. I have both sims on a seperate drive not in the C drive, they are both in the E drive, but like I said AIFP2 works fine. Col.

    @Bernard: Ty mate, done it, funny when I was doing it I remembered, kicked myself for forgeting. @Tom: I opened the repair tool but AIFP3 was not in the window, so it is still saying it can't find FS9 or FSX. Col.

    Nope the overwriting idea didn't work, back to the drawing board. Col.

    Thanks Chris it is FSGlobal scenery, where is the scenery cfg, I haven't been on FS for ages my mind has gone mate? In the FDGSE in AFR folder all the files are numbered like A5S2208.bgl and so on. Col.

    I downloaded AIFP2 and that works fine, if I read it right in AIFP3 I can unzip in to aifp2 and overwrite and it should work. Col.

    I've lost touch with some of this, I get this error when starting FS9, I can find the folder FSGSE in the main scenery but when I look to find AREA 39 it isn't showing anywhere, it asks for a few more areas as well after I click OK. I need pointing in the right direction, I will kick myself when someone tells me, I should know all this lol. Col

    I too would like to see if model is included in the downloads section, I like the new look by the way, some ppl don't like change but you soon get used to it.

    AIFP3 error

    I recently had to make a few changes in my PC, in doing so changed a letter on the drive I had my flight sims on from E to D. Anyway today I went to do a flight plan ang this error, I did a registry scan and it supposed to have fixed some errors but still can't get AIFP to work. I downloaded it again and installed it but as you see got the error. any ideas please?

    Yes I completely uninstalled the disk version. Yes loki went through the link you provided, but when I select the download it dowsn't sart gives the error like I posted earlier. Col

    Tim Yes deffo shows UK English. Loki I did Windows updates this morning, just done the others now but still can't download. Col.

    MS took the money but I still can not download this sim anywhere. I eventually got a live chat with MS, I could not understand the guy as he was not English, after a long convesation he put me through to Xbox and again got a huy I could not understand, it was herrendous, I gave up in the end. Still not 2020 can't find a proper download page and MS has taken the money. Col.

    I found this page from my disk version it gave me the option to install saying I already ownwd but got this error.

    Dam! It isn't accpeting I'm in the UK, it ias asking for state etc, and the default is showing USA. I've entered my bank details as well, hope it is OK. I cancelled out of it, just tried again still showin only USA. Col.

    Hi guys, I have now got fibre broadband installed so ready to download 2020, my old provider was very slow so I hung on till I got fibre installed. I already have the disk version but had no end of problems installing it, I gave up in the end, I was advised to get the download version instead. found the MS site to download plus a couple of others, what do you advise for the best download, I just want the basic version also not the steam version? Col.

    Yes, I wasn't installing scenery but an aircraft so it was easy to delete. Col.

    Unless of course some ppl live in rural areas and/or don't have fast connections so they would plimb for the dvd versions. Col

    It has always worried me about my email address if I wanted to change it, I have it for lots of website logins and connections, would be a long process visiting all the sites logging in then going to my account to change etc, plus some are not as easy as others. Col.

    Ty Kevin you should maybe ask to put a sticky on the forum and advise anyone thinking of buying 2020 NOT to buy the disk version.

    Turns out it was an extra aircraft I installed, that caused the problem, once I took it out out no error message and XP12 worked OK. The aircraft said to be OK in XP12 seems it had a fault that caused the crash. Col.

    I have now resorted to contacting Asobo and left it with them, just waiting for their respoce. Col.

    Just an update: I managed to re-install on a spare HDD, I thought great, all the files are there now not in some obscure location, anyway after it finished the install, got the store screen no icon on the desktop by the way. Cut it short I spent nearly all day going round in circles, nothing in Xbox or the store accepted any mouse clicks, so still no start up for me at the moment, it wears you down all this. Col.
