  1. It is a beautiful bird Rick. This and its Russian counterpart the Il-76 are important aircraft that have not been simulated enough on FSX. Try disassembling the wings and hangaring it inside the Galaxy? Best wishes. Khalid
  2. Wow, amazing Charlie, May I ask how do you do that? Best wishes. Khalid
  3. That's a lovely Dove Larry and quite an eye-catching livery. I remember flying in Doves as a child, owned by the oil company my father used to work for. Nice photo essay and with typical support era-documents like leaflets etc. Great work Larry. Best wishes, Khalid
  4. Just how I like it. The odd screenshot from various flights I made recently. Hope you like. (Click on images for full size) That's the exception, its a fast jet. That's the same airline but with a more-like-it-for-me model. C47 over Alaska. Three shots of a new Jankees repaint that I downloaded for my Electra. And finally the much beloved C46, in the colours of Japan (again its a Jankees repaint). Best wishes. Khalid
  5. Love the tight formation takeoff Jan. Not to mention your world-class repaints.
  6. Great scenery John and an eye candy Waco. Well done.
  7. Wow Rick this little baby looks like one of those high end SUVs of the sky. Great aircraft.
  8. Glad you're utilizing it too Charlie. One must admit, Manfred has done a lovely job of that gauge. I wish he would release it as a standalone universal add-on that can be adapted / customised into any model. Its a game changer, literally.
  9. Some awesome night shots there Michael. The scenery is quite nice, too. My best wishes. Khalid
  10. Great large formation flight Gérard. I love that screenshot.
  11. No, not stretching. First, invoke the gauge by pressing shift+7 or whatever shortcut assignment you gave it in panel.cfg, you will get the collapsed gauge as shown hereunder: Place the mouse over the star icon, it is for Show/Hide, left clicks show less panels and right clicks show more panels, right click repeatedly until all the hidden four panels show.
  12. I did. He is the magician. It works without adding any gauge files actually, it is just that is starts collapsed. I did nonetheless go by his advise and added the DSD fuel dump gauge afterwards, to enable the functionality of fuel dumping through this interface. Thank you Charlie for being there for everyone when we are stuck. All the best buddy. Best wishes. Khalid
  13. Thank you so much Colin for your help, I think I got it sorted out. Best wishes.
  14. Got it working. It starts in a collapsed mode All I had to do was to point the mouse at the star and right click many times to add (or expand/un-collapse) the panels. Many thanks, once more, to everyone who tried to help. Best wishes. Khalid
  15. Manfred, its a work of a genius. It is addictive and a game changer for the whole flight experience, no need to go into zooming and panning in all these VCs and windows. Thank you for the brilliant C-47 for starters. I did of course use a window shortcut key that is available (in my case Shift-7 in the panel.cfg) but to no luck. I am no good with XML scripts but I assume it is calling for inputs that are model specific, therefore the minute you remove it out of environment it stops functioning. In a sim utopia, I would love to have a version for the planes I fly most, Aerosoft Catalina, JustFlight L-10 Electra and JustFlight C-46 as well as the FSX Stock DC-3. What is a DSD gauge by the way? Thank you once more and many thanks to all who have tried to help.
  16. Exactly what happens with me Charlie, I see it flash then only a tiny bit of the window remains, with the [x] button on. Maybe it is to do with the model indeed?
  17. That's an idea, but I am really more interested in utilizing the gauge only, not a full C-47 panel if at all possible.
  18. Oh yes you are, time proven, and thanks in advance :pilot: appreciate your help.
  19. Hello, I am using the freeware C-47 Version 3.12 Beta by Manfred Jahn. It has a superb gauge called "monitor" that is super handy and very useful. I am including a screenshot of it: It was developed by Manfred Jahn based on Rick Federmann's Textinfo Gauge. There is a folder called "monitor" under the panel folder of the C-47 and it has an xml configuration that is 70 pages long. My question: Is there an easy way to utilise this amazing gauge with another model (for my personal use strictly)? I tried copying the "monitor" folder into the stock FSX DC-3 panel folder, and edited the panel.cfg file by adding the relevant entry, but it doesn't work. Any help / advise is most appreciated. Charlie if you are out there, please help. Best wishes. Khalid
  20. Lovely shots Jankees. Great repaint, too. Quote: what an idea to plant trees in front of the runway! :Unquote What I noticed that the ORBX people are obsessed with the theory of standard performance meaning you need to clear a 50-ft obstacle at the end of the runway. Hardly any airport in anywhere with trees doesn't have these at both ends of the runway.
  21. Regardless of who opened their guts, it boils down to pilot error, my dear friend David. The pilot forgot to switch on the "no farting" sign
  22. But Ted's message says "I've uploaded the repaints and they should be ready within the next day" while you are right, the fleet is there already???
  23. Absolutely beautiful Jan. Both the repaint and the Seabee itself, as well as the picture compositions and the scenery. Perfect. Best wishes.
  24. Marvellous collection Ted, thank you for sharing. Looking forward to your posting these to the library. Best wishes. Khalid
  25. Lovely screen shot Gérard. I have the payware Me-262 by Flight1, this particular one is in the colours of JV44. Best wishes.
