Interesting flight David, you have come very close to near where I am in GMML, just before you headed west to Tenerife. You landed in Tenerife north, or Los Rodeos, the scene of the tragic Tenerife air disaster, the worst crash in aviation history (March 1977 when a KLM 747 on its take off run collided with a Pan Am 747 taxiing on a backtrack on the runway to go to the hold position, with total fatalities of 583 souls). I think cruising at 5,000 ft., while giving you a good view of the scenery, caused the Lear to consume a lot more fuel than usual. Thank you for sharing, I enjoyed this post a lot.
