  1. Interesting post Colin, love the era posters too. Interestingly with British models there's always a 4 engine and a 2 engine "ensemble" of many, Manchester and Lancaster, Dove and Heron to mention some, and of course the DH86 and the Dragon Rapide.
  2. Excellent shots of the P51, although I am more into bigger, slower aircraft. You seem to have a keen interest in the Mustang.
  3. Great shots of the DC-4 Jan, and love the dogs as well. Colin's dog reminded me of my German shepherd, she was the most intelligent dog I ever had, and sorely missed by all of us.
  4. Beautiful photo essay Adam. The DC-6 is quite a plane.
  5. Unusual colours for a spit. Excellent job of a repaint.
  6. Its far less polluting than the jets for sure, and more eye candy.
  7. Awesome Dornier and great set of shots Adam. Best wishes.
  8. What a lovely set of shot of the 172 David. Raining cats and dogs.
  9. Lovely one Adam, just don't copy my water take-off technique.
  10. I learned to love the DC-4 from Jan. I have always been a two-engine prop enthusiast, until -encouraged by many members of this forum, to download and try Jens Kristensen's DC-4 / C-54 model. It is quite amazing. I downloaded the latest NorthEastern repaint by the talented Gary Harper and took the ship for a spin. This little baby is a pleasure to fly, and to add more fun, I have an excellent custom panel installed -designed by my good friend Rick. Its a shame that Flight Replicas isn't going to offer any Christmas sale on their Douglas DC-4 model  Quite a princely price tag. 11. Nice repaint Rodolfo, do we expect the FSX version anytime soon? Best wishes.
  12. Nice shots Jan. Love the warm reddish tints of the sky, too. She is yellow, just don't get inspired by the Beatles track and make a submarine of it (in the best tradition of von Peerhoven's flying academy- landplanes into seas and seaplanes into land). Best wishes. Khalid
  13. Great one Rick, I have heard P51s have a nickname "Cadillac of the sky" well the heroes of the old did not have FSX so they had to spend $$$$$$$ to feed them or contend themselves with having a glance at airshows. Short of winning some multi-million dollar lottery you will have to contend yourself with the ones in your FSX hangar.
  14. lovely later series DC-8 David. Great photo essay of your trip.
  15. great capture of the cosmic body. Well done Colin.
  16. Hi Strangebirds, Why should FSX users beware? Thanks and best wishes.
  17. Great shots Rick, the Havoc is a fine looking plane. Best wishes. Khalid
  18. Congratulations David on the completion of your challenging adventure. :pilot:  :pilot:  :pilot: And you have chose a fine ship (Stratocruiser) for your parting shot! Then the mai tai (rum punch) ! :pilot:  :pilot: Thank you for sharing, it was very interesting to follow up. Keep up the good work and Godspeed. NB: Why don't we the merry lot on this forum arrange for a collective flying activity of some sort? I was part of the Aerosoft (Around the world in 80 days) challenge and it was a tremendous joy. Just an idea. Best wishes. Khalid
  19. Hi, looks amazing. I downloaded but there are no installation instructions with it whatsoever. Can you please address this? thank you.
  20. Fantastic pictures Aharon.
