  1. There is where it should be! At least in background at Flying Crown Ranch. Bernard
  2. Just installed the small scenery of Ulawun Volcano. It' s the highest volcano of the Bismarck archipelago, and one of Papua New Guinea's most frequently active. Bernard
  3. Yes, and the most well known there: the Pinatubo. Bernard
  4. ¨ That's the one I showed somewhere below. Bernard
  5. Nice ndeed. But what exactly is the basic model? Bernard
  6. Hello Hans While searching on which Swiss airfield i might put this aircraft, I cam across this strange story related to this particular aircraft: In 1952 at the Sabadell aerodrome with Swiss registration HB-LAT, the aircraft that illustrates this work operated, which under the command of a German pilot who had participated in the Second World War, was involved in a Nylon traffic issue that It seems that he frequently introduced Spain from neighboring France via the Alf%u00E9s aerodrome (Lleida) The Civil Guard, alerted to this, traveled to said aerodrome to watch for the arrival of the plane that landed without incident, but while taxiing towards its parking lot, the pilot detected the presence of the guards, for which he gave full engines taking off from Again, in view of which, the Civil Guard was forced to fire repeated shots at the plane - which as it was later verified - hit the cockpit and fuel tanks. Despite this, the device, still losing fuel, managed to reach the outskirts of the town of Figueras (Girona) where, exhausted with fuel, it landed in an open field in the area (reduced photo upper right image) surrendering its pilot to the authorities. Seen and badly translate (Google) from this site: http://leandroaviacion.blogspot.com/2013/04/1952-bimotor-airspeed-as65-consul-hb.html Bernard
  7. Some few days ago Hans Wuhrmann released several Swiss repaints of vintage aircraft. These are very wellcomed addons for Swiss skies. Furthermore he did an appreciated effort to still eep FS9 alive. Many thanks Hans! Bernard
  8. Did you ever thought to eventually switch to FS2004? You might certainly get more support for this than for FS2002. That could bring more fun too than struggeling with something missing more and more experience. Just a well minded advice, of course. Bernard
  9. In some cases the scan mode of Flight1 AFX tool recognizes object files. 'Everything' search tool allows to locate the corresponding folders. But as I said, that doesn't apply for all sceneries. It depends how they have been created. Bernard
  10. For traffic you might use Traffic Toolbox. However, I never heard about a tool showing which scenery file generates an airport. I'm quite curious. Bernard
  11. Sorry, but creating an airport with Afcad 221 is like creating it in the dark. IMO, best tool is by far AD FX Airport Facilitator X of Flight1. It's a payware tool, but worse the price. It as interface with a WYSISWYG mode. That means, you see exactly where your runways, taxiways, parkings and so on are placed. Have a look here: http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=afxv1 While creating an airport in the nowhere, you certainly have to flatten the area. Bernard
  12. These screenies should been part of a review done elsewhere about the unexpected flight of the B314 PAA 'Pacific Clipper' around the world by the end of 1941 and known as 'The Long Way Home'. The reason of this adventurous flight was the Japanese attack of Pearl Habour, which made impossible to fly back from Auckland over the Pacific. I tried to create this part of the story while using some aircraft done by Bill Lyons and including them in an AI traffic. That's produced by the traffic too! Bernard
  13. This AI biplane is scheduled for flying from Tobago TTCP to Pittsburgh KPIT. A third party GW3 traffic, BTW! Anyway, it started from an airport just in the background and for which my FS9 vintage version has no Afcad. It neither appears in Airport Library. The same occurs for the final destination at Pittsburgh, as I deleted all default Afcad. So the airplane is shown in a very smaller radius too. Bernard
  14. You won't see the AI taking off. But you will see it in Traffic Toolbox flying within the visibilty radius of starting and landing point. Even if there are no Afcad at both sites. Nevertheless traffic will be activated. Bernard
  15. That's a reasonable way. Don't hesitate to ask for further informations or advices.
  16. I would suggest that first you download a simple AI ship traffic like 'KBOS AI Ship Traffic' available here: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?do=copyright&fid=91295. Than do following steps: - install the Aircraft folder in your FS9 - install 'Traffic_BOS_ships.bgl' in your 'Scenery\World\Scenery' folder - install the three bgl files of Afcad folder in Addon Scenery\Scenery folder After that you should see the ships at Boston Harbour. Furthermore I suggest to install Traffic Toolbox in order to 'go to' the ships and follow them. With the Afcad tool you will see how the three Afcad are done. It's more or less like an airport, besides that the ships use small or greater circled taxiways for moving. They start from an oversized parking spot and end at a very short runway. Like this here: BTW, Afcad tool has the advantage that runways could be reduced to 0.4 feet and get them invisible. Use TTools to decompile 'Traffic_BOS_ships.bgl' in a separate folder, maybe named TTools. There you will get Aircraft_BOS_ships.txt, Airports_BOS_Ships.txt and FlightPlans_BOS_Ships.txt files. If later you like to do more such traffic at different places it strongly recommand to use AFX tool of Flight1. It's a payware, but it's worth the price. The tool has an interface which allows an extremely useful 'WYSIWYG'. It enables to create traffic in branched harbours. In any case you rather should go step by step, than reading long torturials. The one of Holger Sandmann is certainly very helpful but IMO not quite manageable for beginners. Bernard
  17. First of all: are you used to handle with AI aircraft traffic and creating Afcad /ADE? Do you already knew the necessary tools? That would be more important, than reading any tutorials before. Be aware that adding ship traffic won't work at every place, as lakes and seas aren't flat everywhere. You could easily get some bouncing ships. Maybe you could add static ships instead. The effect isn't worse, especially if you add animated wakes. From the top it really looks like moving traffic. Bernard
  18. Just found this, mentioned with Masbate Airport on FlightSim Library: This scenery has not been tested with FS2002 but is more likely to work without problem in that version except that AFCAD for FS2002 should be separately designed. Without Afcad, no ship traffic. Bernard

    Flightplan tool?

Just be aware that AITM does only show airport traffic for one specific flightplan, and this for the whole week. But you won't see all aircraft of all your FP's. Excepted if all your traffic is in one file as does it CalClassic for its more than eight hundred different AI planes! Bernard

    Flightplan tool?

If I correctly red Stewie's question, AI Traffic Mover should more suitable. https://www.molitor-home.de/fs/aitm/ Bernard
  21. Actually I'm creating "The Long Way Home" as AI flight. Here over Treasure Island on the way to San Pedro, CA. Bernard
  22. At least you might try transatlantic_clipper_waterfields.zip or now_1939.zip available here. You will also find suitable sceneries for Treasure Island and Midway on the web. Bernard
  23. Yes quite nice. Bernard
  24. While running FS9 with SweetFX in full screen, I get slight worse graphic performances than in windowed mode. @CRJ_simpilot: Never saw or red about a FS2004 Steam version. Bernard
  25. The only way to resolve EVENTUALLY the problem, could be a curved approach. Without such a procedure, the approach to Kai Tak wouldn't be possible neither. Bernard
