  1. FS9 allows self done fun and self done satisfaction. Not more, not less. And it still offers a lot of them. Like the flight of 'Elm Famr Ollie' in 1930! Bernard
  2. Meanwhile I repositioned the italcoast folder at different levels and deactivated several other entries. It doesn't solved the issue. So finally I let it as it is. Frankly speaking it isn't that important, as in fact Elmas airport didn't existed in the Thirties. It just was seaplane base. The airfield was then situated in Monserrato, a suburb of Cagliari. Anyway, thanks again for your advices. Bernard
  3. Several weeks ago you asked for the USS Macon airship. 'Sunnyvale Air Station circa 1933' scenery inccludes an AI version. Maybe that could be of use as well. Bernard
  4. Hi Hans, thanks for your ample test and report. Actually I'm abroad, and therefore it will be begining next week until I will be able to give a feedback. At least, I meanwhile noticed that I get two different results whether I use CalClassic or Golden Wings FS. With the first one the shoreline is almost shown as it should be, while the issue appears with GW. For this later I modified the World texture folder. That eventually could be one of the reasons. Anyway, I will give a reply asap. Bernard
  5. These are the four files incriminated. So, why they are there, dear author? Bernard
  6. Hi Hans, Thanks four your help. Obvisouly the 'line salad' is generated by itacoast itself. When I deactivate the folder, the shoreline is shown as by default. Therefore it must be one of the 290 'n*.bgl' files.' I will try to determinate which one by delete/reactivate all these files. Bernard
  7. I use the Italian shoreline addon generated by 'itacoast' file. It works correctly everywhere, with one exception: at Cagliari in Southern Sardegna as shown below: There are involved the EURW scenery files HP950180 and HP950180. I deactivated these files according to the readme instructions. Does someone use this addon too and how it looks there? I would highly appreciate your comments. Thanks. Benrard
  8. An other option might be a fake Afcad. You create it somewhere in the vincinity of one of the airports or between them. Add just a mini runway without parkings. The AI will disappear at airport A during night, "flies" to fake airport, stays there and will reappear at airport B during night again. Doing this way, the aircraft won't unnecessarly stay and wait at airport A. It's a method that I use with aircraft which should be there just at certain days, f.i. air shows. Bernard
  9. Hi, Does anyone still have the French Aéronavale textures for Stuart Green's Sunderland? Or might anyone know what could be an alternative? Thanks for any advice. Bernard
  10. As soon as you added sceneries and/or aircraft, you modified scenery.cfg or FSX.cfg you should do regularly backups of these files or folders. It's just for your own advantage. Bernard
  11. Sorry, but that's not deplorable at all. It just informed here that my inquiry could be solved. And nobody ever cared about this aircraft up to now, by the way. Bernard
  12. No, it won't. However, I would highy recommand to do regularly backups of your FS anyway. Bernard
  13. Meanwhile I got a very useful help and the aircraft. Many thanks hanks to the attentive reader and member! Bernard
  14. Hi, Does at least just one in this hugh world still have J.R. Lucariny's Sud-Ouest P30 'Bretagne' in his system? It would look like this here: Thanks for any advice. Bernard
  15. Thanks for the tip. Your'e right. Meanwhile and by pure hazard I found pictures of some ot the Algerian airfields which have had those runway pavments. And they show simple dirt terrain. Bernard
  16. Yes I do. Just by coping and pasting FSX folder to an external driver. In fact it would even be sufficant to backup only Addon Scenery and SimObjects folders and scenery.cfg file, as everything else will be installed by Steam. As long as it will be available, of course! You might adding subfolders in SimOjects main folder as many as you want. Only those which are activated in FSX.cfg would be shown. Bernard
  17. Actually I'm backdating Algerian airfields as they could looked beginning the Sixties. According to the 'AERAD Flight Guide' of this time, several airports had the runways with 'rolled strip', 'rolled sand' or 'rolled soil' pavments. The last two should be clear, but what could be ment with 'strip' as material? Thanks for any advice. Bernard
  18. Thanks Larry, nice and interesting as always! Just wondering not have seen it on your usual classic website... Anyway, your same L-10 Electra Air France here at an other site and in a rather well known part. (with Casablanca Afna scenery) Bernard
  19. Several older settings are shown in the web. All of them have ser Vertical Sync with "use 3D application setting". I now tried to set it with "1/2 refresh rate" an got a quite acceptable result. At least in windowe mode no flickering anymore. I highly appreciated your tip, Larry! Bernard
  20. Thanks Larry. I used Inspector already before and now tried to set the former values. But it still remain a quite anyoing flickering environment. Bernard
  21. Recently I had to replace my high game laptop with a new one. This performs a Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU and 32 GB Ram. Could anyone suggest suitable settings for the graphic card? Thanks for any advice. Bernard
  22. Do you use Traffic Toolbox to follow the plane? Maybe this consider TVB as an obstacle positioned on taxiway or runway. Bernard

    Windows 11

Just moved my FS9 of 450 GB to a new notebook. I updated it to Windows 11, FS runs ok like before without any issue. The only thing which hurts me, is the imposibility to get taskbar and icons smaller. It looks like it would run the notebook with a resolution of 800 x 600! Hopefully that would once be modified and updated. Bernard

    AI

At least Traffic Toolbox could show AI flights with same legs, same aircraft and same schedules. Of course it's limited to a 60 miles range. While activate "File Path" it shows the files generating AI flights. Bernard

    Where is EGY2?

You're right, John. I tried to add some oil slicks from CFS2, but they don't match correclty with the water. Bernard
