  1. Glade that you resolved the problem. Meahnwhile I have myself a question about runway texture. Does anyone knows which runway* bmp file generates the 'unknown textured runway'? Normally it's unvisible. It cetainly should be one of the files form 'runway14' to 'runway68'. I replaced all these files with 'taxi_dirt.bmp' texture, but no one of these runways appears. Thanks for any advice. Bernard
  2. It's runway10. To check it, I replaced the 'runway10_su.bmp file ' by the taxi_dirt.bmp' one. In some cases it could look better than the default dirty runway. Bernard

  4. Glade to hear. Which model is it? I searched on MAIW site but only found the models with guns. Bernard
  5. These are two B-17 repainted SAR aircraft of FAB. The one in front is a YB-17 and has no guns. The second in background is B-17G of Alphasim equipped with guns. Maybe the YB-17 version could be an option. Bernard
  6. Glade that you like it! In fact it's just a matter of using a certain SweetFx setting. Some times I enjoy to fly in b/w monochrome or sepia environment. Like I would leaf through my old aviation books! Bernard
  7. That's what I contributed in an other flightsim forum: Just for pleasure I created a traffic package with the traffic and aircraft files released by Christian Page at FlightSim. He uploaded a large number of airline textures in use beginning the Seventies. Than I mixed it with Oleg Tchernikov's 1969 traffic released at RetroAI. As both packages are missing quite a lot of airlines seen in 1970, they together make an acceptable retro traffic, even there are several overlaps which should be eliminated. Anyway, there is nothing else or better available. Here some screenshots: Franfkurt Main London Heathrow Hong Kong Kai Tak Chicago O'Hare At least it was a challenging attempt, and I had fun! Bernard
  8. It's indeed quite an effort to find all basic aircraft. So I spent some time to locate Michael Pearson's DC-6. Here the link: https://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=190892 As I'm still completing the whole traffic, I can't tell you, whether it's usuable or not. Hopefully yes. Finally I will try to mix it with other traffic of this era which will add some further airlines not included up to now in Page's package. Bernard
  9. Sorry Lee, but I really can't share your euphoria. Some years ago I already complained about the poor desert texture. These areas look more like tundras than sandy regions, especially the Sahara. Maybe it isn't that important, and probably only few people are flying in such areas. But at least these are part of the world too. Bernard
  10. Obvisouly nobody here is aware that Christian Page does still a tremendous effort to release repaints for airliners used in the Seventies. In a way his releases belongs to 'virtual aviation heritage' too, like 'CalClassic' or 'The Old Hangar' in their respective eras. IMO it's quite a shame that this achievement has absolute no impact here! Such retro traffic certainly won't appear in any other form and for any other sims in future. That's for sure. Anyway, many thanks to Christian Page and hopefully I could see more of his nice works. At least, Actually I'm creating a whole traffic package with all releases and will enjoy it very much once done. But that might be another pairs of shoes! Bernard
  11. Quite fast, Hans! Less than 24 hours after the Swiss Government has decided to buy this fighter, it's already available here. Thanks for your further nice contribution. Bernard
  12. Hans, your list could be completed with LICR Reggio di Calabria, Italy and KDCA Washington, DC. These curved approachs allow a more or less intelligent landings. But they don't avoid that AI fly through montains some serveral miles before reaching landing paths. That especially happens at Innsbuck. Furthermore normal taking off from valley airports will remain very tricky or almost impossible. Even from LSGS Sion airport. In fact, creating AI flights to and from such airports doesn't make great sense. Bernard
  13. You might create static traffic which does only move once in a week and during night. Something like that: AC#1,DC6B,50%,WEEK,IFR,1/23:00:32,1/23:15:32,000,F,0001,LPPT,1/23:17:54,1/23:32:54,000,F,0002,LPPT That's by far the easiest and simplest way. Bernard
  14. Obvisouly you already got a helpful advice. BTW, 'RAS' is the abbreviation of 'Rhône Alpes Simulation', used by its community itself. Bernard
  15. RAS version of Albertville would defintely be the better choice! Bernard
  16. Are you using the sceneries of Rhône-Alpes Simulation? And what kind of Afcad to you need? Just an runway or more? Such an Afcad could be created very easy with AFX, as it has an interface allowing WYSIWYG. Bernard

    Spartan Adventure

Owen Graham released a very long time ago flight plans included in a file named 'sparadv1.zip'. This is still available here. It seems that he did a second and a third part of this adventure. Unfortunatly these coulnd't be found anymore. Maybe they have never been released. Does somebody knows more about these additional flight plans? Thanks for any advice. Bernard
  18. . Some where already used by BOAC during the war. Here one at London Great West Aerdorome. Bernard
  19. Maybe you could show us the involved leg of your flightplan. So ir would be possible to insert it in our systems and check what happens there. Just as an idea, of course. Bernard

    Carrier Needed!

Obvisouly someone did a combination: https://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php/118790-IRIS-MiG-29-experiments-amp-question/page4 Bernard
  21. Use this link over Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20160312143113/http://arnaud.clere.gratisim.fr/lc_france.exe Bernard
  22. Some are using 'water runways' with AI traffic, like me. But most of Afcads have to be completed before.
  23. Am I correct in assuming that the Danish Base Scenery does just adjust the landscape of the city of Copenhagen? Nothing else and nothing more? But interesting and useful anyway, thanks for uploading, Bernard
  24. Denis Fouchard released some day ago a couple of repainted French Latécoère 28. I particularly appreciate this 'Air France Long Courrier' version. It perfectly enhance the Montaudran airfield part of Alexander Belov's 'Aéropostale' package. Thanks for sharing your nice models, Denis. Un vrai plaisir! Bernard
  25. Does anyone still have the IVAO package with 32 Bulgarian airports? This still is listed in http://www.freewarescenery.com, but the link is dead. Thanks for any advice. Bernard
