  1. Thanks tiger1962 for your reply. I understand that most buildings should be in white. However I'm still of the opinion that something is missing. Even in white buildings could been shaped and have colored roofs. I tried to insert FF Bahamas textures, but without any result. Bernard
  2. Reinstalled several times FFBM but the textures of houses and churches are still missing. What did I wrong? Thanks for any advice. Bernard
  3. At Surclaro or perhaps elsewhere you might find this: "waferry.zip" - Washington State Ferry by Robbins Shipworks. It's driveable. Bernard
  4. Despite all the very positive comments here, FS9 has a very big lack: the conical shape of the world and therefore the impossibility to land and take-off corectly at Artic and Antarctic airfields. Not very used areas, I agree. But annoying nevertheless. Bernard
  5. Don't forget CalClassic with meanwhile its more than twelve hundred repaints just for era 1962. Bernard
  6. Some of these carriers and others are available at SOH as CFS2 models. Their aircraft.cfg and air files could be adapted in order to us them as movable or static AI (instead of scenery object). Bernard
  7. I know and use them too. At Innsbruck it indeed allows a nice curved approach. However, AI have to fly through mountains miles before to reach the airport. Furthermore curved approachs are one thing, starts from such airports are an other. AI taking off from deeper valleys will inevitably hurt nearby mountains. In some cases I tried setting FP destinations almost straight ahead or placing waypoints to get AI out of valleys but it doesn't work. Bernard
  8. BTW, did you checked your Biggin Hill ADE whether your parking radius is large enough (at least 65 ft.), properly linked and the hold short nodes are added? Bernard
  9. The very simplest: TTools with handmade traffic.
  10. By pure curiosity I tried to create a formation flight of twelve B-17 taking off at Rickenbacher Intl, former Lockbourne AFB and WWII training base for this aircraft. Even they are all the same model (ACG B17G AI) and taking off from the same runway, some fly their own path like the one on the right outside. On longrer flights I fear that the formation will be heavily scattered. Bernard
  11. Generally speaking your project wouln't be that complicated. However, you certainly want to see your B-17 flying in a more or less compact formation. Therefore they should take off together in a row of at least three or four aircraft. That means you should add three or four invisible runways to the UK airfield and save each runway as separate ADE. The parkings should be as narrow to the runways as possible in order to really get the planes starting together. So far nothing impossible. At Brest you also will add three or four invisible runways as waypoints. So far nothing special too, and it could look quite suitable. The only thing which could hurting you is the fact, that the B-17 approaching Brest will lower their gears. Unfortunately, and IMO, not a satisfying situation. Bernard
  12. I'm not used to fly often there neither. But I just wanted to point out some incongruities of the package which could be found elsewhere too. Bernard
  13. I wouldn't recommend FS2004 ORBX, except you want to get a lot of tress up to Arctic Circle! Bernard
  14. Rick, Just by chance, you don't have also the Swiss textures of HB-GCP in the background? Since years I'm searching for this repaint. Bernard

    CFS Question

Best you try how it works. Either it's ok or not. I use f.i. the CFS2 Ju-390 as AI. Mostly jets would be rather suitable than props as the propellers are not shown. Bernard
  16. That's initially done as formation flight with waypoints. But finally each a/c flies its own speed and course. So they start together but don't keep formation the whole way. Bernard (Done for FS9 but wouldn't be different for FSX).
  17. For sure, but a better idea would be having more AI aircraft. Until that even would happen, there is no other choice than using flyable models. And have a high performing PC. Bernard

    FS9 crash

Best you save the location as Flight where you get the CTD. Then deactivate traffic files, reactivate them step by step while starting with rhe saved flight.
  19. Obvisouly it has been done over middle of Switzerland and less populated areas.
  20. The FS2004 Whyset.zip version created by Harry D. Hrebien only use default objects but, the river rendition is better than with FS2002 version. Furthermore I added Nicholas Barnes' CYXY Afcad. Still better than the pure default scenery anyway. Bernard

    B-29 mission

You might create an Afcad with just a short runway as waypoint somewhere over Japan. It could be done with tools like ADE, AFX or Afcad221. To get the runway invisible i.e. a width of 0.4 ft, you have to use Afcad221. Other tools don't allow such small runways. Be aware that your plane will lower the gear while approaching the waypoint. That might not be exactly what you like to see. Bernard
  22. That's a typical message caused by something which isn't compatible with your FS9. It could have several reasons. Either aircraft, sceneries, traffic and so on. Best you deactivate step by step your last entries until your FS9 runs normally again. Then reactive all these files or folders step by step until you get the issue again. It's a hard work, i agree, but you won't waiste more time than searching somewhere where it's probably useless. Bernard
  23. I get quite acceptable results with FS Meteo. Bernard
  24. You might create an additional traffic file just with home made airports andas suggested by Col. In this case you shouldn't modify anything in Ultimate Traffic, what seems to be slightly complicate. Bernard
