  1. Laptop for sure. Running FS9 with secondhand ASUS G752SV, i7-7000, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 2TB HD, Nvidia GTX 1070 16GB RAM. With additional 24" screen use a resolution of 2560 x 1440x32. Bernard

    FS2004 Backup?

Why doing so complicated? Just copy and paste FS9 folder and FS9.cfg to an other drive. Keep a simple and renamed basic FS9 on main drive. It's always useful anyway. No need to manipulate registry. Bernard

    FS2004 Backup?

As you know how backup FS, simply think to backup FS9.cfg. too. Bernard
  4. Nice - from Interlaken to Emmen while flying over Meiringen, Sarnen and Lucerne. Bernard
  5. There are indeed several CFS2 carriers at SOH. However I haven't been able to convert them to static objects with SAMM2013. Bernard
  6. Did this basic scenery several years ago. Bernard
  7. You might either place a modified CFS2 carrier as static AI, but you won't be able to add AI traffic on AI model. The other possibility is using the generic carrier as scenery object and add traffic there. Not exciting, I agree, but at least it works. Bernard
  8. The reason for using the same FS9 installation for two different periods is that I get better graphic issues, than by running GW separately. Bernard
  9. Why so complicated? My GW folders are in the same main folder as FS9 classic. To switch from one era to the other I just rename the texture folder and Scenery.cfg file. All other are fix assigned to specific period. To manage easier the aircrafts I rename the folder too, but it wouldn't be imperative. And it works. Doing this way I'm able to use the same tools like AFX, IS, FSGRW and so on with both versions. It's quite more simple. Bernard
  10. Here: http://oldhangararchives.digitalrailroading.com/ziparchive/GoldenWings.zip and here: http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/syb2.cgi?section=scenery&file=SilverWings.zip This could be of interest too: http://oldhangararchives.digitalrailroading.com Bernard
  11. The airport of Aquino LIAQ is just beneath, but doesn't exsist by default. Some miles away at northwest is the military base of Frosinone LIRH. Bernard
  12. You probably missed Monte Cassino and its monastry, one of the most embattled sites during WWII. Bernard
  13. D, thanks for your advice. Wheels are only shown while loading the aircraft with ACE. But that's not the way I'm handling my a/c's. Therefore pure waisting money! Bernard
  14. Tht's indeed a very useful tool. But you should know what you have to search for. And that's Nick's problem. Anyway, the simplest way is do run every time excecutable files into a temporary folder. In doing so you know what and where you should add files and folders. And that's not limited to just some few addons available here and elsewhere ... Bernard
  15. The point is that ZYYK doesn't exist. There isn't even an ADE available or at least a scenery file of this recent airport. You might use all possible kind of airport manager tools, it won't appear, and that's what hurts Bondeno. To get AI flightplans which aren't useable. Bernard
  16. Captain Sim Legendary C-130 doesn't show landing gears. Any idea what could be wrong? Thanks for any helpful advice. Bernard
  17. If you have no ADE resp. AFCAD file named like AF2_ZYYK or AF3_ZYYK no AI will ever fly to this destination. Furthermore this airport won't appear in your Airport Selection. That's a thing you have live with. The same as some create traffic to default airports which have no runway and taxiways links. Bernard
  18. Do you have at least an ADE for this airport? BTW, Yingkou Lanqi Airport opened in 2016. Bernard
  19. That's still the initial thread ... So please respect opinions and reasons of those who wants to keep FS9 alive. Hateful comments don't help us further. We just are asking for more support. That's all. So let those scenery and aircraft designers do their job. Like f.i. Roger Wensley, who has done a tremendous amount of Alaskan sceneries for FS9. And thanks to all who still wants keeping pleasure with this very old simulator. BTW And curiously you won't find unpleasant comments on the specialized site related to CFS1 ... Bernard
  20. As long as models don't have props those should also be suitable for FS9 as well. However, this aircraft seems to be an exeption. BTW, the FSX model is the same as I proposed below.
  21. As long as I will be able to create such tricky AI landings like here on summit of Mont Blanc, I will stay with FS9. Bernard
  22. Could this be helpful in a way? Bernard
  23. I did this Stephenville for MATS Exercise "Long Thrust II" in 1962. Bernard
  24. At least this here: http://www.allflightmods.com/flight-simulator-2004/fs20042002-bac-tsr-2/
  25. What about "Miicrosoft Games" ....?
