  1. Interesting that you have only just experienced this as I thought this issue had existed since FSX was invented! Go to the panel.cfg file in a text editor for any aircraft affected, and amongst the entries in the section headed [VIEWS] there will be an entry that reads something like: VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=0.000, 0.000, 0.000 Change the first number to read something like: VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=5.000, 0.000, 0.000 You will need to change the panel.cfg file for each aircraft affected, and tweak it to get the view exactly as you want it. Usual disclaimers regarding backing-up first apply . . . John
  2. I bought it a while back and had no issues. John
  3. The SimMarket page gives links for email support and forum for this product. John
  4. Hello Erwin, The problem there is that filesharing of other people's work is illegal, whether it was available free or not. As the domain name is still active, it looks like he has chosen to close his site down. He may have his reasons to not want to share his files any more. There is an older model of the Twin Pioneer by Mike Stone which should be available from the various popular download sites. John PS - there is a Gmail link to contact him on this page - might be worth trying to make contact?: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/content.php?14440-Interview-With-Robert-Richardson/view/3
  5. You really need to read the supplied info. It is not the kind of autopilot you find in modern aircraft. Ask on the CalClassic forum and you will get lots of help. Best regards, John
  6. From: http://rexsimulations.com/support.html Search our knowledge base now and get the answers you need. https://rexgamestudios.helpscoutdocs.com/ For general support assistance for your REX software, REX Axis is your place! https://rexaxis.com/ Is this the route you took to contact them? For instance I can see it says: After our initial release of Technical Update 2.5 there have been several items that need attention. Therefore, we have started to work on Technical Update 2.6. We are projecting to start testing in June and hope for a release in mid to late June. John
  7. You shouldn't want to download and install something that could harm your computer. Take it up with whomever you bought it from. John
  8. Lee - another way to do it: in Windows 7 at least. Control Panel > Appearance and Personalisation > Display Make text and other items larger or smaller It allows you to set from a range of three settings - 100%, 125% and 150% I have a shortcut directly to that page of the Control Panel for ease of access and switching. As long as you don't have any add-ons that are not disability-friendly, that can be quite convenient. John
  9. Assuming there is an ILS provided. There are loads of commercial airports without ILS and many of those that do have them at one end only. Most of the latter do at least allow Backcourse ILS but visual altitude positioning is necessary as there is no glide slope. Visual approaches must actually be quite frequent at all but the largest airports. John
  10. It would help if I gave the correct instruction! Should have said Shift + Right-Click. Sorry about that. John
  11. These are pre-war aircraft, I'm not sure that ILS even existed in those days - if it did it would have been at very few airports. There shouldn't be anything hard about a visual landing, this is often done in the present day. But I would guess you might solve the problem with Ctrl-A to engage approach. John
  12. After FSX has loaded and vanished, try right-clicking the task-bar icon and select "Maximise". John
  13. Well blow me sideways, all this time I've been on the wrong forum.
  14. I just said "the add-ons that makes doing flights easier" out loud and my wife gave me a very strange look! Yes, please be more specific about your needs. John
  15. I have no idea, but you should be able to work most of it out by zooming in on the map of the flight. John
  16. Here we are, I think: https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/b62064#273af28b Flight number seems to be JBU2064 though? On a more general point I find that FS flights usually take longer than reality owing to the inefficiencies of airport operation and particularly longer departure and arrival routes than the real world. John
  17. Flight Radar: flightradar24.com I have their "app" installed on a tablet and that certainly shows historical information, so I assume you can also do that through their website. John
  18. Is this what you are looking for? https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/games_windows_10/windows10-side-by-side-configuration-error/3fa2ec5d-6a82-45d7-b25b-096a52f84d75 John
  19. Take a look for trafficAircraft.bgl in ...\FSX\scenery\World\scenery John
  20. ATC controllers should know your and other aircraft's speeds and space arrivals accordingly. Of course they are not that clever in Flight Simulator. There is a tale somewhere on the internet of a Jumbo being instructed to do an S-approach owing to a rather small and slow aircraft ahead that was landing first. I don't remember the response from the Jumbo crew but it wasn't very respectful! But that's your answer - if aircraft get a bit close on approach the second might be asked to lose distance by a bit of zig-zagging. John
  21. Sorry, I don't know. Mine is v1.0.4 and that installed on FSX-Steam without questioning it. Maybe try that version? flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/18921/fsx-sp2-fsxsave-autosave-104/ John
  22. Ah, understood. That doesn't seem to be the right file, as a test I have just downloaded it and it is far too small.. There is a link from the following page to a rather larger one which hopefully is correct - I haven't tried it myself: flightsim.com/vbfs/content.php?18965-Radar-Contact-Now-Freeware John
  23. Might be worth a second try. I have followed that link and there is a button to Download the file "rcv4encrypt.zip". John
  24. Hi Allan, Although EditVoicePack gives off dire warnings about importing FS9 sound files, I can vouch for them causing no issues that I know of. As for other downloads on my site - that will have to be trial and error as I suspect a lot won't carry over correctly to FSX. Best regards, John
  25. On my web site! Fortunately asit starts with A you won't get too weary looking for it. John
