  1. X-Plane 10 Arado E.583 Night Interceptor

X-Plane 10 Arado E.583 Night Interceptor. The E583 was designed as a night fighter to combat the British night bombers and was the first swept wing jet built by Germany. It was also the first operational jet to have afterburners. There is some speculation as to whether the aircraft actually progressed from the design phase, but it is recreated here in X-Plane. Three liveries are included as is comprehensive documentation and credits. By Billy Bargagliotti.

  7. X-Plane 10.30+ Suborbital Spaceflight Simulator

X-Plane 10.30+ Suborbital Spaceflight Simulator. This is a simplified and home version of what the author was doing last year for Project Possum and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University Daytona Beach. This is based on the previous Lynx MkII files but has a 3D cockpit and improved flight dynamics. The mission is simple. Takeoff from Eielson AFB runway 32, Fairbanks, AK, climb at 80 degress, turn north, make the parabola to 330,000 feet, then the re-entry (be aware of AOA during re-entry, use some -40 degree attitude), glide back to base to runway 14 (if you can). Change payload weight to get to a higher altitude. Documentation and links included. By Vasco Ribeiro.

  10. X-Plane 10 McCormick-Romme CycloPlane

X-Plane 10 McCormick-Romme CycloPlane. There are two models in this file. One model has a simple instrument panel with trim controls and the other model comes complete with a full modern autopilot. All testing and adjustments were done using the autopilot. This is not a great plane to fly, it is not a Spitfire, Mustang, or even a Spruce Goose. It barely flies, and has very little climb ability, but with practice and patience, it does fly, quite well in spite of its strange configuration. Comprehensive documentation included in the download. By Billy Bargagliotti.

  12. X-Plane 10 Goodyear InflatoPlane XAO-3

X-Plane 10 Goodyear InflatoPlane XAO-3. The Goodyear Inflatoplane was an inflatable experimental aircraft made by the Goodyear Aircraft Company, a subsidiary of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, well known for the Goodyear blimp. Although it seemed an improbable project, the finished aircraft proved to be capable of meeting its design objectives although its sponsor, the United States Army, ultimately cancelled the project when it could not find a "valid military use for an aircraft that could be brought down by a well-aimed bow and arrow. 14. X-Plane 9 And 10 International Space Station

X-Plane 9 And 10 International Space Station v2. This is version 2 of the ISS/Space Shuttle model. Original ISS modules and Shuttle model were created by NASA. You can download these ISS 3D modules at the NASA.gov website. Most of the credit for the models goes to NASA. You can use these models as long as you don't include the NASA logo. This model is completely rebuilt from scratch. All of the modules have been smoothed so they no longer have that faceted appearance. More accurate re-sizing and alignment has been applied to the components and modules. Please see the included 'ReadmeISS_v2. txt' for a full description and also instructions on how to get the most out of this model. By Matt Fuller.

  24. X-Plane 10 George de Bothezat Octopus

X-Plane 10 George de Bothezat Octopus (1922). The de Bothezat helicopter, also known as the Jerome-de Bothezat Flying Octopus, was an experimental quadrotor helicopter built for the United States Army Air Service by George de Bothezat in the early 1920s, and was said at the time to be the first successful helicopter. Although its four massive six-bladed rotors allowed the craft to successfully fly, it suffered from complexity, control difficulties, and high pilot workload, and was reportedly only capable of forwards flight in a favorable wind. The Army canceled the program in 1924, and the aircraft was scrapped. Two versions are included in this download. Important: please read the included documentation. By Billy Bargagliotti.
