  1. X-Plane 9 And 10 x-Bug VW Beetle Tie-Dye

X-Plane 9 And 10 x-Bug VW Beetle Tie-Dye 2.0. x-Bug was the author's first and only payware venture, originally released for XP8 in 2006. It was arguably the most realistic ground vehicle at the time. This freeware release for XP9 and 10 comes with the generous assistance of Tonka, who added animation where there was none before. Thanks again, Mr. T! That said, there is nothing groundbreaking here. This is a simple design for simple fun. By Dave Duck.

  2. X-Plane 9 And 10 JetMan - Yves Rossy

X-Plane 9 And 10 JetMan - Yves Rossy v2. Jetman is ready to fly from your favorite drop aircraft and fall from insane heights. Closer to your favorite mountains, and glide around scenery. This is the ultimate X-Plane example of free flight, made possible by the works of Yves Rossy. He flies almost bang on to the real thing, with all the numbers calculated to fit X-Plane. Same wing length, calculated compressor area of the Jet Cat P200 engines, and only enough fuel to last exactly the time recorded for tanks to run dry. Please read the included documentation on how to get the maximum enjoyment from JetMan. By Hamish Hall-Smith.

  3. X-Plane 9 And 10 318 WhiteKnightOne

X-Plane 9 And 10 318 WhiteKnightOne v2. Over 60 hours have gone into the cockpit alone, to get it to function as good as the real thing, and the outer model has undergone countless hours of tweaking to get it up to the standard set. Very important; please read the included documentation on how to get the most enjoyment from this aircraft and for the full description, including credits. By Hamish Hall-Smith.

  4. X-Plane 9 And 10 316 SpaceShipOne

X-Plane 9 And 10 316 SpaceShipOne. This is part 2 of the X-Prize duo for X-Plane 9 and 10. Space Ship One, for any aviation enthusiast, is probably more notable than any other spacecraft venture in the history of flight; and it is a pleasure to be able to bring a life size, and detailed model to the wonderful X-Plane community! Very important; please read the included documentation on how to get the most enjoyment from this spacecraft. By Hamish Hall-Smith.

  5. X-Plane 9.70+ International Moth

X-Plane 9.70+ International Moth, hydrofoiling sailing dinghy. The International Moth was quite a challenge to get going in X-Plane. The steering is sluggish, but it does not create drag like a water rudder. The twitchy rudder of the Moth, will never be super-realistic based on the platform created. The speed though, does reflect the actual thing, with foiling capabilities at about 9 kts + of boat speed, and a top speed of 21 kts. Built in v9.7, so not guaranteed that it will work exactly the same in v10. The basic principles of sailing are never easy to replicate, and hours of tweaking in v9.7 resulted in this version. 6. X-Plane 9 And 10 AeroHawk98 UAV

X-Plane 9 And 10 AeroHawk98 UAV. Here is the AeroHawk98 UAV, one of the most advanced UAV's available. With a stall speed of 11 knots, and a max speed of 200 knots, this aircraft is built around the latest technology. Inspired to sail through the sky like a broad winged bird, it also looks beautiful and pushes stable UAV aerodynamics to the limit. Powered by a small Bio-Fuel engine, the two props are held and rotated inside magnetically charged discs (one of the latest breakthroughs in our lab). Full description contained within the aircraft folder. By the 98Aerospace team.

  8. X-Plane 9.70+ Incom T-64 Sub-orbital X-Wing

X-Plane 9.70+ Incom T-64 Sub-orbital X-Wing. This is a variation on the X-wing fighter. It is VTOL capable via the second throttle. Developed in v9.70, and tests OK in X-Plane 10. Comes with a functional pseudo 3D cockpit. You may need to increase flight models per frame to at least 3 to smooth supersonic flight out. By Mike Case.

  9. X-Plane 10.20+ Hurel Dubois HD-34

X-Plane 10.20+ Hurel Dubois HD-34. The Hurel Dubois HD34 is a two-engine civil aircraft with a very high aspect ratio wing. It first flight took place on February 26 1957. The eight aircraft built have been used by the "Institute Geographique National" the French institute for mapping. Due to the aspect ratio of its wing the aircraft was able to fligh very long missions. Credit goes to Bernard Augras for the use of his pilot. By Philippe Gastebois.

  10. X-Plane 9.70+ Vought XF5U-1

X-Plane 9.70+ Vought XF5U-1 "Flying Flapjack". Perhaps one of the oddest flying objects yet, yet the oddest thing is it never flew once. The first of two Vought XF5U-1 "Flying Flapjacks" made high speed taxi runs and short "hops" off the runway but officially never "flew". Then both were scrapped, with a wrecking ball! Had they survived perhaps someone could have "GTO'd" them with 2800 hp Pratt and Whitney R-2800-77 engines in place of their 1600 hp P&W R-2000's, as done here, and made unlimited racers out of them. This plane is based on Herr Karlheinz Meyer v8.6 "Flying Pancake". Check out the readme.doc for flying tips (found in the "reading room" folder of the download file set). By David Austin.

  11. X-Plane 9+ FN-1A

X-Plane 9+ FN-1A. This is an idea for a light attack aircraft based on a balsa glider design that flew very well. Scaling up the design and figuring how to fine tune the airframe for trans-sonic flight was a challenge. This model is not supersonic, but it is stable (trimable) and very manoeuvrable. The stall is 130 mph so approach should be no slower than 135 mph. Top speed is mach 1.00. By Ron Norvelle.

  12. X-Plane 9.70+ North American Eagle

X-Plane 9.70+ North American Eagle. The North American Eagle Project is a jet-powered automobile that is intended to challenge the 763 mph (Mach 1.02) land speed record set by the ThrustSSC in 1997. It is a cooperation of Canadian and American engineers, pilots and mechanics. Their goal is 1300 km/h (808 mph), or Mach 1.058. Goes well with the Bonneville Salt Flats scenery package (BONNEVILLE_SALT_FLATS_QSAT.ZIP). Important: please read the included documentation. By David Austin.

  13. X-Plane 9+ Millennium Falcon

X-Plane 9+ Millennium Falcon. The Millennium Falcon has fully animated flight controls, including the yoke, throttle, gear and thrust-vector handles. The layout might take some getting used to, but flying the Falcon is extremely rewarding once you get the hang of it. Please see the included documentation on tips on how to fly the Falcon. Thanks to Sean 'Treybor' Kennedy for modeling the 3D interior of the Falcon and to Iven Connery, who created the original exterior 3D model and Sebastian 'Mojo' Hirsch who supplied the exterior textures.
