  1. At least you're in an aircraft that can take a more than a few bumps along the way!
  2. Is this happening with all aircraft or just certain ones? I have seen this occurrence with other trim methods but only on specific aircraft, which might be how their flight dynamics are set up.
  3. Shhhh... It's classified! Should make for some good pics.
  4. Not the best of days to be in the air, be careful out there. Nice shots.
  5. That was my only point, with a huge IF for many many simmers. Always remember that as long as you are having fun, any controls are perfect. And even though I have a Yoke, Pedals, Throttle, Joystick dual-monitor set up, 90% of my flying is done sitting in the sunroom with my laptop using a 20+ year old Microsoft SideWinder only. So no matter you price point, or experience, the key is Have Fun!

This is the 15th in a series of repaints for countries that flew the North American T-28 in their military. apan received only one T-28B. That aircraft is currently at the JASDF air museum in Hamamatsu. The model this repaints is a T-28D/S and has guns and hard points which were not on the B model. You will need the FSX North American T-28D VT-5, vt-5-0915.zip. Original model by Tim Conrad, Updated by Bob Chicilo, Repaints by PhrogPhlyer This series includes: FSX North American T-28C VT-6 ( T28C VT6.zip ) FSX North American T-28D Cuban Air Force ( T-28 Cuba AF.zip ) FSX North American T-28D Congolese Air Force ( T28C Congo AF.zip ) FSX North American T-28D Taiwan ROC Air Force ( T28 ROC Taiwan AF v1aF.zip ) FSX North American T-28 South Korea ROK Air Force ( T28 ROKAF.zip ) FSX North American T-28 Royal Moroccan Air Force ( T28 RMAF.zip ) FSX North American T-28 Uruguay Naval Air Force (T28 UNAF.zip) FSX North American T-28 Philippines Air Force (T28 Philippines Air Force.zip) FSX North American T-28 Royal Thai Air Force (T28 Royal Thai Air Force.zip) FSX North American T-28 France Fennec 119 (T28 France Fennec 119.zip) FSX North American T28 Equadorian Air Force (T28 Equadorian Air Force.zip) FSX North American T28 Brazilian Navy (T28 Brazilian Navy, zip) FSX North American T-28S Fennec Argentinian Naval Aviation - Repaint (T28 Argentinian Navy.zip) FSX North American T-28S Fennec Ethiopian Air Force - Repaint (T28 Ethiopian Air Force.zip) FSX North American T-28B Japan JASDF - Repaint (T28 Japan JASDF.zip) More to come.
  7. Glad that on a whole this isn't an issue. Hate to think of rouge pilots in the air, especially in the IFR environment. And thanks for the good follow up Larry. There is so much that flight simming offers, a little guidance goes a long way.
Straight forward installation with good instructions provided. PERFECT in every way. 2d cockpit and VC both easy to use in flight. RL appropriate handling and responsiveness. And with the nice set of views built in, I can't wait for my first photo shoot. Well Done!
  8. My pleasure! Keep in mind that SIDs and STARs are just as their names state "Standard." As more aircraft have certified GPS based systems. ATC Centers will have a greater ability to direct aircraft with nearly point to point routing. Also, the whole ATC system is designed to work with NO RADIOS. Should you lose communications, these Standard routes, feed aircraft to published instrument approaches. Position reports are given with ATC handoffs (a whole class in and of itself), timing of your arrival. I have seen pilots get to countries where ATC is not as updated as in Nth America, and have difficulties with simple things like getting weather (as they are handed the teletype pages) or submitting hand written flight plans, etc. I recommend less (or no) digital instruments when learning instrument flying (RL and FS). Once you have a solid basis in instrument flying, then move to various GPSs and EFIS systems. You will then have a solid understanding and great appreciation for the flexibility these systems offer the pilot.
  9. It was supposed to ne a joke, that obviously failed. RL Army to TV Navy. Oh well.
  10. Not bad for an Army enlisted soldier, promotion to Ensign.
  11. You will have to take up the issue of file name search with FlightSim, as I already stated that the files are easily found searching T-28 or VT-5. And I thank you for finding a typo error with Tim's name, I will correct this with future uploads.
  12. Bernard, Yes Repaint only (as the title states). It is also stated in the write up for each repaint either "You will need the FSX North American T-28C Update, t-28cupx.zip." or "You will need the FSX North American T-28D VT-5, vt-5-0915.zip." Both very easily found with a simple search for T-28 or VT-5 from the main FSX Filemanager page. Instructions for adding to the aircraft.cfg are included in the zip file. When I complete at least one repaint for each of the countries that flew T-28s, I plan on releasing a consolidated upload that will include the base models, etc. PhrogPhlyer
  13. Bet you had the cabin heat cranked up high! Would have been a choppy flight RL. Good to see the Caribou. Was able to get a ride in one out of McGuire AFB (now JB MDL) when in HS. Back when friends could take friends for weekend rides. Great pics Bill.
  14. I really like the visuals going in and out of the clouds. Good for non-RL pilots to see how that looks. Also, were the PAPI lights on at the airport? I only saw the lights right as you were touching down. Great videos, keep them coming!
  15. A quick review of the TAF (Terminal Area Forecast) for the four larger airports near me (TTN, EWR, WRI, PHL) show that over the next 24 hrs. the forecast winds are all from 300 to 340 degrees. Unless the destination has two closely aligned runways, the planned arrival runway would most likely not change during the time of a flight. Also, once programed into the EFIS, there is less cockpit workload, especially if single pilot.
  16. I don't know specifically for 2020, but could this refer to a circling approach? Here's a link to an excellent explanation of this type of approach. https://www.cfinotebook.net/notebook/aircraft-operations/approaches/circling-approaches
  17. Until this does occur, the content creators can add "Complete Model" "Complete Aircraft" "Repaint" to the file title when uploaded. And, they can add any link file names and other helpful info in the file description. Not automatic, but at least it would help with searches.

This is the 14th in a series of repaints for countries that flew the North American T-28 in their military. In 1961, T-28s were acquired by Ethiopia for advanced training. 12 T-28A and 12 T-28D were converted to S-Fennec. You will need the FSX North American T-28C Update, t-28cupx.zip. Original model by Tim Conway, Updated by Bob Chicilo, Repaints by PhrogPhlyer This series includes: FSX North American T-28C VT-6 ( T28C VT6.zip ) FSX North American T-28D Cuban Air Force ( T-28 Cuba AF.zip ) FSX North American T-28D Congolese Air Force ( T28C Congo AF.zip ) FSX North American T-28D Taiwan ROC Air Force ( T28 ROC Taiwan AF v1aF.zip ) FSX North American T-28 South Korea ROK Air Force ( T28 ROKAF.zip ) FSX North American T-28 Royal Moroccan Air Force ( T28 RMAF.zip ) FSX North American T-28 Uruguay Naval Air Force (T28 UNAF.zip) FSX North American T-28 Philippines Air Force (T28 Philippines Air Force.zip) FSX North American T-28 Royal Thai Air Force (T28 Royal Thai Air Force.zip) FSX North American T-28 France Fennec 119 (T28 France Fennec 119.zip) FSX North American T28 Equadorian Air Force (T28 Equadorian Air Force.zip) FSX North American T28 Brazilian Navy (T28 Brazilian Navy, zip) FSX North American T-28S Fennec Argentinian Naval Aviation - Repaint (T28 Argentinian Navy.zip) FSX North American T-28S Fennec Ethiopian Air Force - Repaint (T28 Ethiopian Air Force.zip) More to come.
  19. This was checked, but upon another review of the I saw that the missing aircraft had no model assigned. Once that was fixed they were all there. Thank you.
  20. Combining various repaints into a single aircraft cfg. Is there a maximum number of variations [fltsim.x] allowed within an aircraft config so they will display in select aircraft of FSX? I have 16 and only 15 appear, so I have to presume that 15 is the max? Thank you.
