  1. Leaving Thailand for points east...
  2. One of the coolest cowlings ever designed into an aircraft.
  3. I have read many of the posts from years past, and still have an issue with the FSX SDK installation. I installed SDK from disk 1, and it did create folders. Additionally, I changed disabled from true to false in the dll. However, the tools option does not appear after I run FSX, Any ideas? Thx!
  4. Great shot of a great bird. So sad that when we removed these from the Navy's inventory we destroyed almost 500 of them, because the design features are considered sensitive information. This was one of the greats. Interesting how Hollywood learned that "our enemy" (it starts with an I) had some in Top Gun Maverick.
  5. And this being a non-US F-16 in US airspace?
  6. Version 1.0.a

This is the 7th in a serious of repaints for countries that flew the North American T-28 in their military. In 1979 nine North American T-28D Fennec were donated to Uruguay by the Argentinian Navy. These Fennecs were used as a light attack platform until 2000. You will need the FSX North American T-28D VT-5, vt-5-0915.zip. Original model by Tim Conway Updated by Mark Rooks Repaint by PhrogPhlyer Other aircraft in this series are: FSX North American T-28C VT-6 ( T28C VT6.zip ) FSX North American T-28D Cuban Air Force ( T-28 Cuba AF.zip ) FSX North American T-28D Congolese Air Force ( T28C Congo AF.zip ) FSX North American T-28D Taiwan ROC Air Force ( T28 ROC Taiwan AF v1aF.zip ) FSX North American T-28 South Korea ROK Air Force ( T28 ROKAF.zip ) FSX North American T-28 Royal Moroccan Air Force ( T28 RMAF.zip ) More to come.
  7. Keeps getting better! I echo all compliments.
  8. Great shot, and I'm not a big F-16 fan. More of an 18 guy. But at least you brought along someone to pay the bar tab!
  9. Beech Sundowner, if my memory serves me correctly. And, VFR, so must have been 5500 (east is least and west is best).
  10. Bears were still quite active mid '80s cruses too. Biil, do you kno the name of the file for that Oriskany model? Great for any Korea or Nan missions,
  11. Blasts from the past. Love '70s - '80s props and jets still had their place in the balance of power. Great overflights of NAS North Island. And the "Bear Box" mid pacific, always great for pics from the deck.
  12. 23 years your younger, nice to see that ones love of flying never leaves. Can't wait for you to post screenshot from your centennial flight!
  13. Thanks Bill. I was happy to find this early pre-avionics hump model. Sleek and classy. r/ Dick
  14. Thanks Rick. Lots of time to study the NATOPS manual, or read the latest Mad magazine. Also, this is exactly what the Pacific looked like anytime I flew over it. Lucky I guess. r/ Dick
  15. That's what keeps me flying FSX. To me it just gets better with age, or was that I think I get better with age? Who? Where? What were we talking about?
  16. Ferry flight from Hawaii to Yokosuka. First leg, Midway Island off the nose. 1300nm and a whole lot of ocean. 2200nm to go. Looking forward to a steak and Sapporo beer at the O'club when I get to Yokosuka.
  17. The colors really add to the feeling. Well done.
  18. I've been using the economical CH products for years with zero issues (all purchased lightly used), attached to a USB switch box. So depending on type aircraft I go between yoke with attached throttles/rudders to joystick/throttle/rudders. And the CH software is excellent.
  19. Beautiful aircraft and responsive and precise on the stick. Now need to add USMC paint schemes. Suffering from phantom fever!
  20. Thanks Rick, I found and downloaded fsx_iris_phantom_as_ga.zip. So far, so good.
  21. Same, again shows that there are so many ways to experience flight sim, and people who share the journey with you, no matter which version you fly.
  22. One night we received WABC AM NY at 5000 ft, over Elizabeth Town NC on the NDB. Followed it all the way to NJ, and had some good tunes to listen to at the same time.
  23. F-4 was the greatest converter of JP-5 to black smoke that ever existed. Damm, I miss the aircraft. Whos' aircraft model is that Rick, payware, freeware, etc?
