  1. I don't think Asobo reads THIS web board? You might want to post this at the Zendesk?
  2. Positioned myself at the Rapid City airport in my lovely little 415-C Ercoupe and did the prerequisite couple laps around Mt Rushmore. Great fun.
  3. Thanks - makes sense. I reckon I gotta learn me some glass panel GPS stuff one of these years.
  4. I mostly only fly older GA aircraft -no glass panels - can someone translate the above sentence into words a gopher-brain like ME could understand? lol
  5. same here. I fly out of it with some regularity. Mayor Daley was a putz to tear it up. I often fly out of Midway Airport too.... since I live just 2 miles from there.
  6. Here are their recommendations at all price ranges. https://www.sportys.com/blog/what-are-the-best-yokes-and-rudder-pedals-for-microsoft-flight-simulator/?utm_source=MarketingEmail&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=A22053D&utm_content=What%20are%20the%20best%20yokes%20and%20rudder%20pedals%20for%20Microsoft%20Flight%20Simulator?&trk_msg=75PJKRJC4TR4N9F5THFNHHBEHO&trk_contact=PHSOQ4TTAUPVLJOCG8T15FFRK8&trk_sid=9LGRI8K19ESI24ER7IPDDR4C2K&trk_link=394C7OU1RFP4VF2JSMIE1G537O&utm_source=listrak&utm_medium=Email&utm_term=https%3a%2f%2fwww.sportys.com%2fblog%2fwhat-are-the-best-yokes-and-rudder-pedals-for-microsoft-flight-simulator%2f%3futm_source%3dMarketingEmail%26utm_medium%3demail%26utm_campaign%3dA22053D%26utm_content%3dWhat+are+the+best+yokes+and+rudder+pedals+for+Microsoft+Flight+Simulator%3f&utm_campaign=A22053D&utm_content=And+the+%231+Flight+Sim+Yoke+is... And yes..... I'm pleased my gear made the list - lol
  7. When this happens to me, and it DOES on a few airplanes, I just go to the top of the screen, select the camera icon, then "Pilot" and then "Close" and voila! I have the regular panel view.
  8. thankfully the update went swiftly with no negative issues..... at least on my PC.
  9. In MY useless geezer opinion? Scour YouTube for videos from the MANY MSFS 2020 flight sim pros out there, find the one YOU like best and get in contact with them. Same goes for the pro posters on THIS forum. I have yet to find a YouTuber or forum poster on this or any of the many forums I haunt who was not more than willing to share their personal expertise.
  10. I almost feel like I should 'apologize' for having a low-mid range PC and never experiencing a CTD or negative issue from the first install or any of the 9 updates..... so far. I DID however have to upgrade my desktop's capabilities right of the bat to properly run the sim from its original configuration. Caveat - I have mostly only aircraft and add-ons from the sim's Marketplace, and my Community folder is pretty sparse.
  11. Ercoupe flight out of Baraboo, WI.... not issues.
  12. The transaction and installation could not have been easier, once I downloaded their APP. It all happened automatically as part of the download/extraction process and bang-zoom it appeared in my hangar when I fired up the sim. Purchasing was quick and simple and auto-converted from Euro to USD. This one looks like it will be super fun. https://secure.simmarket.com/brsimdesigns-ercoupe-415c-msfs.phtml
  13. Anyone deal with this British firm before - is my data safe to make the purchase?
  14. Yeppers, been with this sim pretty much since day one and once I configured my desktop with sufficient memory and graphics capability have never experienced a CTD. I accept the reality that I am running it on at best a low-mid range PC and don't have the ability to run some features at Ultra, but those minor inconveniences will be resolved once I buy that darn winning lottery ticket - which is all that is preventing my ownership of the Honda Goldwing DCT trike I so desperately need. (bad knees and old age)
  15. I've watched my son, my DIL and two of their friends bowl 3 or 4 lines twice now. I'm thinking our bar tab about equals what I've spent on MSFS. lol I 'assume' that everyone now involved playing this sim did NOT use their grocery, medical or housing monies to buy and support it? I 'assume' they used a small portion of their annual discretionary spending $$ to make-believe fly around the world as a form of recreational entertainment? As such it IS a pretty low cost per hour/affordable form of amusement. As they say in the mountains of Austria - "Kwitcherbitchen"
  16. Patient - "Doc, it hurts when I do this. Doctor - "Then don't do that."
  17. To the OP - If THIS particular sim does not meet your needs? Delight in the knowledge that playing it is NOT mandatory. While there are many millions out there who ARE enjoying this bit of digital amusement from Asobo, in those parts of the globe where some levels of personal freedom still exist, freedom of choice rules the day. And THAT my friends is why that ice cream joint offers all them different flavors. What a boring world it would be if they only sold vanilla. Live long and prosper.
  18. I now have the Dornier and a few other amphibian/seaplane type craft. Are there any water based 'in-sim' starting points - engine idling and the plane on the water? I know that I already can start engine running and in the air OVER water anywhere on the globe but would like to start with a water take-off. I am also aware of after-market add-ons I can acquire, but am wondering about within the base sim. I currently have the Deluxe version.
  19. "which makes the plane 'unbuyable' for users with no room for rudder pedals.." ?? I take it you sim on something other than a desktop/laptop PC or XBox setup? I only have my rudder pedals under my feet when simming, the rest of the time they are tucked under the desk out of the way. I suppose one 'could' fly using auto-rudder? No criticising, just curious about how others enjoy the game.
  20. Every time I take off from Lae, New Guinea in the Electra and try to fly to Howland Island, I fly for hours, get near to the destination and the plane disappears? I'm stumped.
