Feelthere's Embraer 145 for P3D won't work in MSFS (fs2020) - the only planes which WILL work in MSFS are those which have been specifically made for MSFS - if you're only interested in the 145, forget MSFS and go for P3Dv4 instead.

Aha! If the switch can't be moved there's probably a control assignment conflict - a button or switch on your controller(s) is conflicting with the keyboard command for example.

Are you sure that you have no liveries or other mods installed for the G36 and G58?

Did you do any of the other steps before running the DISM file?

Are you sure your system AND your sim are fully up to date? Try checking in Microsoft Store for updates, also in Windows update and install all updates listed. Then check in MSFS Content Manager for any updates and install all of those. If there are no updates, or the updates have made no difference, try these steps: Delete the ROLLINGCACHE.CCC file located in: AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache The sim will create a new one on it's next reboot. I do this almost every day (I'm forever tweaking and breaking the darn thing). Next, if you're on Windows 11, go to your Start menu, Apps, Installed apps, and scroll down to Microsoft Flight Simulator. Click the three dots on the far right and select Advanced options. Scroll down to the Reset section and click the Repair button. Reboot the sim. Have you tried removing that mod to see what happens?

Try setting your rolling cache to 8gb (default), then set your Terrain Level Of Detail slider (Terrain LOD) to 100 and your Off Screen Terrain Pre-Caching to High.

Do you have the Heavy Division B78XH mod installed? It's not supported any more and is known to cause all kinds of issues like this so please uninstall it.

If you're using a 3rd party livery your friend may also need to have that livery installed.

The steering settings are in the [Contact_Points] section, not the [Aerodynamics] section, so yes they apply to the Modern flight model.

The AI Aardvaark (AIA) Boeing 757-330 is an AI aircraft only; it shouldn't be flyable. Whoever has converted it did so for use in FS2004 because the Boeing 737_400.dll is a default FS9 gauge. You need to search for and install an FSX-native 757 model and panel instead.

Which addon aircraft is this please?

It sounds like your backup files are corrupted/incomplete or both. I would start with a fresh install of FSX, run it to check that all is well, and then re-download and install your add-ons from their original sources (freeware and payware) rather than trust your backup files.

They've compressed the logbook because many simmers have hit the logbook storage size limit and can't record any more flights: From the release notes (link below): "Added logbook compression to fix an issue where the logbook stopped recording flights after reaching 16MB limit size." https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/release-notes-sim-update-13-1-34-16-0-available-now/610338

As part of SU13, the logbook data has been compressed and it now takes 2-3 minutes to decompress. There's no progress bar on screen so it looks and behaves like the sim is frozen.

Which C152 mods did you download, and where from?

If the sim still CTD's with no addon's whatsoever (aircraft or scenery), in totally default state, then this is a memory access fault as Jorgen said a few posts up. You could have a hardware fault such as a failing memory module, PSU or hard drive - but this shouldn't be the case on a new PC. I would definitely go with a corrupted add-on of some kind - aircraft/livery/scenery/landclass/mesh.
