  1. I've never flown the 787 or 747. To be honest, I only flew the A320 once or twice for old time's sake - I flew the wings off the airliners in FS2004 and FSX, so I'm bored to tears with them now! Even so, I can't believe they'd deactivate the F2 command for reverse thrust? I'm currently in lust with the "Expert Series" ATR and F2 works on that. Have your key bindings been re-set after the last update by any chance?
  2. Apologies if you've already seen these, but there are links on flightsimulator.com to a checklist, manual and tutorial video for the AAU2 787: How to operate Boeing 787 Dreamliner - Microsoft Flight Simulator / Official Tips & Troubleshooting - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums
  3. Runway start locations can be positioned with airport editor programs such as ADE; but they are entirely arbitrary because there is no such thing as a start location marker: The Essential Guide to Runway Markings - Pilot Institute
  4. Try the links on this page at flightsimulator.com: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/how-to-operate-boeing-747/598716 Many of the functions and procedures have been updated to simulate real-world functions and procedures, so there is now an AAU2 guide, manual and tutorial video for the 747.
  5. The FSLTL Injector .cfg file can be set to remove white liveries. In the sim, click on the FSLTL icon on the menu bar and you can change all the settings on the fly. For more info, see the FAQ's on the FSLTL website here: Support FAQ – FSLTL – FS Live Traffic Liveries
  6. I just discovered this tutorial flight over at flightsimulator.com: B787-10-Tutorial-Flight-v1.pdf (azureedge.net)
  7. These are known issues which have been reported here and on the official forums. The best advice is is to remove the HD 787 mod (if you use it) and any 787 liveries from your Community folder before attempting this official tutorial flight: B787-10-Tutorial-Flight-v1.pdf (azureedge.net)
  8. If your chosen aircraft has a Flight_Model.cfg you can change the "parasite_drag_scalar=" entry in the [FLIGHT_TUNING] section from 1 to 0.5 for example. The plane will fly faster as a result. However, the plane may have a redline on the airspeed gauge which may not be editable (especially if it's a glass cockpit) so you'll still get an overspeed warning.
  9. You're right, yesterday there was an update for Texas cities photogrammetry but I (and many others) also got the 1.33.8.0 update again - the Texas cities update requires a valid install of update 1.33.8.0 so the original download must have been corrupted somehow?
  10. Today's release (in my previous post) is a general bug fix for 1.33.8.0 which should download automatically when you next launch the sim.
  11. VNAV profile was not displaying time to TOD when still in the departure segment even if the airplane has reached cruise altitude and sequenced all climb constraints · Reduced the delay of TAWS touchdown callouts when using radio altitude G1000 Nxi · Added support for third-party developers to provide global plugins for the NXi · Extended MFD rotary knob menu to allow customization by 12. You're welcome. Before you try re-installing again, read this (short) thread from the official forums last weekend: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/manseq-in-ifr/598171
  13. Are you using the Heavy Division 787 mod? If so, you need to remove it because it hasn't been upgraded yet to work with the AAU2 update. Simbrief flightplans can't be imported after the AAU2 update, but may be included in the next Sim Update.
  14. You'll need to take ownership of the Steam fsx.exe file and then apply the fix above; follow the take ownership instructions on this web page: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/take-ownership-windows-8#:~:text=Take Ownership of Files Windows 10 1 Open, button. 6 Select the Owner tab. See More.
  15. Here's one possible solution from the flightsimulator.com forums: "the problem I was having with the 1st two axes on the Bravo (control went from 0 to 50% as soon as I moved the lever a 1/4 inch) was solved by going to the Windows Game Controllers, selecting the Bravo, selecting Properties, clicking on the Settings tab, and clicking on Reset to Default, then backing out and going back to FS. Do NOT try to calibrate the Bravo in Windows."
  16. MANSEQ stands for "manual sequence" which means (in your second screenshot) that ATC should vector you to the final approach at KPIT. However, the MSFS ATC doesn't do vectors so you need to select Direct To on the PLN page of your GPS and then select the next waypoint after MANSEQ.
  17. Wow, 12 million MSFS users - Flight Sim is mainstream once again!
  18. You have your map range set at 40nm in all the shots above. As you reach your destination you should reduce your map range accordingly, for example to 30, 20, 10, and 5 on short finals.
  19. The new ATR version 1.0.20 is now available for download. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/june-21-2023-expert-series-i-atr-42-600-72-600-update-1-0-20/597609
  20. Those are Marketplace 3rd party payware planes, the default planes config files aren't encrypted any more.
  21. Chicagorandy already answered the peripherals compatibility question a few posts above - USB peripherals only. I would add to that; some USB peripherals work better without their own driver/control panel software, and some require the programmable FSUIPC or Axis and Oh's interface.
  22. Actually, you can. I use ADE to edit airfields, AIFP to edit and create AI flightplans, and good old Notepad to edit aircraft.cfg files. A few of my files are here in the MSFS library to download. My PC specs are shown below:
  23. There are several threads and bug reports about ATC on the official forums, this is the main one and it contains some useful workarounds: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/cannot-hear-atc-instructions-and-other-aircraft-suddenly-while-ai-copilot-still-responds/418969/1227 The bug hasn't been fixed by Asobo because, in my opinion, it has been reported incorrectly. The bug report claims that Azure ATC voices are lost and cannot be recovered, but what's supposed to happen when that occurs is that an error message then appears and you are automatically switched to offline ATC mode. The actual bug is that the error message doesn't appear and you are not automatically switched to offline ATC mode. I've noticed that my internet speed can drop during a flight, causing a disconnect from the Azure ATC service and I don't see what Asobo or anyone else but my ISP can do about that.
  24. I absolutely agree, and only Microsoft has the global network available to support this level of simulation - it's unbeatable. I also think that Xbox Games Studio and Asobo Studio have thrown everything they can think of at this version, just to see what sticks. One moment it's Famous Flyers, next it's the Top Gun movie Expansion Pack, then the Halo spaceship, then it's back to Local Legends and most recently the Expert Series; coming soon there's the Dune movie Expansion Pack. They're trying to please everyone, all the time. I hope that the next iteration will be more focussed on the integrity of the sim itself; features which are now payware or even freeware "fixes", "mods", "add-ons" or whatever you want to call them will be integrated into the base sim along with the accumulated World Updates and Sim Updates released for MSFS 2020: this might be why they've announced already that "most" add-ons will still work with MSFS2024 - because some of them have now been built-in to the base sim, and I further hope that among them are Bijan's Trees (payware) and the Shift-Z (freeware) mods. It's also about time they gave Henrik a contract for his outstanding GAIST package, let's start a petition!
  25. It might be time to retire your Windows 7 and install Windows 10 or 11. Flight1 Agent works fine on both for me.
