Century III AP Update for AC 500 Panel
This file follows the Century III Autopilot Version 4.8.0 update project just posted on this website.
This is an add-on panel folder for your existing Aero Commander AC 500, for evaluation purposes as an example of how the Century III AP update fit an existing panel.
Sorry, not everyone would need this folder, hence I did not include it in the ST_Century_III_UPD.ZIP file.
If you have already unzipped the Century III AP folder into your main FSX\Gauges folder, just add this panel folder to your Aero Commander.
The Word.DOC file in the original download shows you and example AIRCRAFT.CFG text file change that activates this add-on panel.

Century III Autopilot Update
This updated version of Scott Thomas's Century III Autopilot (as seen in The Aero Commander Projects), is Steve Thomas's autopilot with some of the FSX gauge constraints removed and Roll / Pitch controls activated.
This is the third version of the Century Series "Wing-Levelers". This version has a built-in altitude hold feature that the first two models did not have. Having actually flown a Century III, twice in real life, I have always enjoyed flying the FSX Aero Commander and always wanted to make a fully functional Century III in the Shrike and even more so, a new gauge I could open up and apply to other airplanes. After a bit of work, here is the best of Scott's hard work, as I saw it fly, here for you to try out as well. It is a very different wing-leveler that I have found, fun to fly! FSX Logger & RNAV Update
FSX Panels & Gauges. This update package brings more legacy radios and updates to your existing FSX avionics. Updates for existing packages are for the RNAVs I have uploaded, to allow for Robbie's "Logger" to recall waypoint data last used. All these updates have a "Localizer Protection" added so the RNAV basically stays off-line when you dial in a localizer frequency into Nav 2. An experimental ID-824 Narco VOR head and King KI-204 & 203's can be found in this package if you're looking for something different to look at for Nav #2. All XML files, as in past packages, can be installed manually, or with recomended editors like FS Panel Studio software for "better fits" to existing panels. By Ronald Prindle.

FSX - Century IIB Update 2024
FSX - Legacy Avionics Century IIB Autopilot UPDATE 24!
This update is for the replacement of both existing
(Century_IIB_AP.ZIP & Century_IIB_UPD.zip) found on
FlightSim.Com that now has environmental fixes on entry
and exiting the autopilot operation.
New default Century Flight Systems, Inc. panel images
have been provided as well as the original "Piper"
images. Simply copy the (Century_IIB_UPD_24.zip)
unzipped update folder into your FSX \Gauges
\Century IIB AP\ folder.
Enclosed are four versions to pick from, in that the
"ORG" is the most basic form of the Wing Leveler and
tested NAV Tracking. Nav1 in the basic PIPER and "C"
Century IIB forms, have proven to track the NAV/GPS
toggle switches found on almost all panels today.
Also enclosed are both PIPER and Century IIB "expanded"
versions that have NAV1 & Nav2 Lateral Guidance Selects
that work with known HSI's and the LOC Inbound Tracker
includes a Glideslope servo control.
All four versions have their specifically labeled face
plates and still DO NOT HAVE ALTITUDE HOLD functions.
Navigation intercepts and assigned altitudes are the
responsibility of the pilot on all versions of the
Century IIB as it has been documented in all updates.
New installation or image editing, is again done by
Text File editing software, (like notepad) or the
recommended FS Panel Studio Package.

DEM Foster 511 RNAV for FSX
David E. Myhr's Foster 511 RNAV and the Narco 860 RNAV for FSX is a unique two-waypoint RNAV Computer that really does NOT need a guidance indicator to fly. Unlike most RNAV units that feed their flight data out to a flyable indicator, the Foster simply adds a DME to an existing navigation radio and reads out both BEARING TO and DISTANCE to fly in digital gas-tube displays. This RNAV package is more than just the David E. Myhr Foster 511, this is the final day production units that also drive indicators of your choice (RNAV-tested) and gives Ground Speed and Time-To-Station results as well as DME-coupled ILS approach data where marker beacons are being removed these days. It is an expanded form of the Foster 511 by David E. Myhr updated and aligned with published specifications by Ron Prindle, for General Aviation Pilots who want a user-friendly RNAV.
Notes: I highly recommend that you "pickup" and install "LOGGER" by Robbie McElrath that is found on this website. Why? There are a lot of thumbwheels to spin for two-waypoints, I frankly can’t get use to sitting in the “run-up area” setting up GPS units these days and spinning a lot of wheels takes time. Whatever I can do to speed up getting off the Checklist the better. It’s much quicker to use the LOGGER option and use a simple text editor BEFORE my flight and update the FOSTER.TXT file with the waypoint data I intend to fly. Don’t get me wrong, the thumbwheels work fine and in the air, changes are easy to make and in a cruse, I can fly to the one waypoint while changing the other. Two waypoints in a simple RNAV is a great thing!
Indicators? I recommend you read the Word.DOC file that comes with this package whereby an existing King KNS-81 RNAV HSI indicator works just fine with these Nav #1 RNAVs. You can find it on this website under “FSX King KNS-81 RNAV Update” the N1HSI version is what I use! The VOR indicators I like with these units would be the ones supplied with the Nav #2 introduction Fosters as well as the the one Nav #1 Narco 860 RNAV indicator I brought over from the “FSX Narco NS-800 RNAV” file on this website. A standard VOR head with glide slope needle and is RNAV compatible with the Foster Nav #1 projects.
How do you get a “good fit” of these gauges? I recommend still, software like FS Panel Studio to make the process effortless.

FSX Embraer E Series Panel

This is a repaint of the panel bitmap of the FS9 Embraer series E panel by Uwe Ingber. I did this to more acurately reflect current color schemes of E series aircraft after observing such on a recent E-190 flight. I have also added and removed some gauges from the original configuration to make it operable in FSX. I removed the FMC and default Garmin GPS in favor of the GPS by Gavin Munro. I also added the Airport ID gauge by David "OPA" Marshall and the V Speed gauge by Rob Barendregt. Also added the FSX default Lear 45 radio gauge as well as the Runway Info gauge by Ernie Alston. As such, this FS9 panel is usable in FSX. See README for further details. By Christopher Tower

FSX Defaultimate 747 Virtual Cockpit Upgrade. The Defaultimate 747 adapts G Munro's Boeing 747-400 2D Panel V3 (B747-400V3.ZIP) for the default FSX B747-400 VC. In addition to this increased functionality (EICAS, EFIS, TCAS and much more), this package introduces emissive and dome lighting to the VC. Landing, taxi and navigation lights have been decoupled on the exterior model. Other enhancements include animated wipers, switchable and dimmable MFDs and a max autopilot bank bezel among other things. Perhaps most pleasing is that this package absolves one of the great crimes against flight simulation - the hatchet job that was the VC autopilot panel in the default 747-400. FSX/P3D Boeing 747-8F Panel With VC. This is a new panel displaying the complete width of the main panel for the Boeing 747-8F. At first sight it seems identical to the Boeing 747-400 however there are some small differences. Although this panel is for the Boeing 747-8F it could also be used on the passenger version and also on a Boeing 747-400. The main differences are in the air conditioning panel and the doors. It is meant for 1920X1080 screens and will not look good on smaller screens. Drawback of this panel is that the gauges are pretty small but still readable. It includes 2 FMCs and a VC with limited functionality which which is entirely 747-400. Manuals are included - please at least read the installation instructions. FSX BoeingGeneric.dll Replacement Gauges. This is just a little set of gauges in XML which replace the old BoeingGeneric.dll gauges. They fit exactly in any position where the Boeing Generic gauges are used. As they are written in XML they can easily be modified and the background colors can be easily changed. Numbers are more easily legible and rotating them is easier. Other than that it works in exactly the same way. It works in FSX 2D and VC panels and should work in FS2004 as well. By G. FSX/P3D Concorde Panel. This is a new panel for Concorde. Only suitable for screens 1920x1080 or larger. An aircraft is included so that you can see it working straight away. It can be fitted to other Concorde models but the VC may not work. It includes full working 2D and VC panels including Flight Engineer Panel (not in VC). Almost all switches and knobs work and functionally try to follow the technical data in heritageconcorde.com. The manual is daunting but please at least read the first part. By G. Munro. FSX Noorduryn Norseman Panel. 2D and VC Panels for the Noorduryn Norseman from Brian Gladden. These fit 1600 x 900 screen resolution. Package contains new 2D and VC bmps, a new panel.cfg and a new gauge cab. These were made in FSX, however they should work fine in FS2004, although not tested.
