  1. The 'practical' solution is to use 'Render Video' feature. It may seem like the FSRecorder instant replay is stuttering but the finished FSRecorder rendering will be smooth (equivalent to 30 to 40 fps). So start the FSRec instant replay, go back to same menu and scroll down to 'Render'. It takes a few minutes longer to 'render' but the results are always satisfactory when played by video player. Good enough for Goverment Work anyway. Chuck B Napamule
  2. The 'Social Distance' is now 6 feet. Soon it will be 16 feet. Then 26 feet? Then you go to gas station and you can't get gas because the other people there were only 20 feet away. So you pull up to the curve and (when able) go pull the 60 ft hose to your car and THROW the money at the attendant! Don't laugh - it could happen! (I am sure there are other such 'dillys' out there - coming soon - to FaceBook for one). Chuck B Napamule
  3. Yep, installed in 'Program Files' will do that. You could try Right Click on aircraft.cfg, then 'Copy, then 'Paste' (into Desktop). When on Desktop, dbl click to open or right click and choose 'Open With' then 'Notepad'. Edit it. Then when still in Notepad, choose 'Save As', then navigate to where the cfg belongs, click on aircraft.cfg (at original location) then click 'Save', then 'Yes' to 'overwrite'. That should do it as a work around. There is one more thing: Right Click your aircraft.cfg and choose 'Properties', then ck to see if it's 'Blocked'. Click on 'UnBlock', then 'Apply', then 'OK' to change the attribute, which might help although not sure if that makes too much difference one way or the other with Win10. Chuck B Napamule PS: Dakota, Illinois? You sure are a long way from good ole California. Cheers.
  4. The pitch scalar on flap pitch is not right IMO. It is 1.5 and it should be -0.490 for all flaps sections. Also the horiz stab incidence is 1.5 and it should not be that high. More like 0.650. Also the flaps drag is 0.6 and should be 1.0. And in the flight tuning the cruise lift scalar should be 1.0 and the elev trim effectiveness shoud be 1.0 not 0.5. That is for starters. The next items are fuel tank locations, engine locations, and the station load locations. Then you (should, if able) go into the air file and check flaps drag, center of lift on wing, etc. Shouldn't take more than a week of trial n error testing (hehe). Chuck B Napamule
  5. Welcome to FltSimCom. If you tell us what brand, and maybe what model, of pedals you have perhaps someone here has the same pedals and has experience calibrating it. Good luck. Chuck B Napamule
  6. Are you looking in VC for those gauges? Did you look in 2D panel for them? At any rate there is a panel that adds those gauges to the VC. It's: 'pa320_vc_panel.zip' (at AvSim), 13.5 mb, by Hector Zambrano. Works for Project Airbus 320 v1. Original panel was for /and is by SMS Overland A320. Good luck. Chuck B Napamule
  7. You don't 'land' a 747 like you do a Cessna OR 'Flare'. You FLY the 747 lower and lower, nose up attitude, then reduce power to let the MAIN wheels touch the runway push down the nose so the nose wheel contacts the runway. Done! But the trick is to have the right speed, right flaps, AND +2 to +4 pitch trim to allow flying nose up without you pulling back on the stick (because you will invariably let up and the nose will drop at which time you will pull up again (to 'flare') and you now have goofed it ALL up!). Practice helps. Chuck B Napamule
  8. Here is Tim 'Piglet' Conrad PC-7 in FSX Accel buzzing the tower, etc. Just plain ole rude behavior. Link: . 20Feb24. Chuck B Napamule
  9. He must of steped on F11 (full screen). Press F11 again to get back the menu bar. Chuck B Napamule
  10. That zip if actually here at FltSimCom (I missed it somehow). My bad. Get it from here. Thanks. Chuck B Napamule
  11. Some uploads that say 'FS9/FSX' might have this problem. Sometimes they include a prop fix for FS9 but not always. There are some fixed props out there by 'Banana Bob' Rivera but hard to find. And he has not been around for years. There is a way: fix the alpha channel yourself. See pic for info (dnld). Chuck B Napamule
  12. Flight Simulator Training Course, by Andy Johnston (circa 2009) in FSX Accel. The Harrier GR7, by Adam Preece, takes it on! Average speed: 200 kts. FSTC location is Keewatin (Inuit Land) Canada at N62*53.49 W92*23.76, Elev: 100 ft. Entrace Hdg=15 degrees. Link: . Any questions? (hehe). Chuck B Napamule
  13. I think the main 'action' you MUST take is to RE-BOOT your PC. PS2 DOES work with ANY Windows version the PC is running. Here are 2 methods to try: Method 1. Plug the device and run the hardware troubleshooter. Once this is done, restart the computer and check the status. Follow these steps: Press the ‘Windows + W’ key on the keyboard. Type troubleshooting in the search box and then press enter. Click hardware and sound and run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter. Follow the On screen instructions. Once this is done, restart the computer and check the status. Method 2. You may update the PS2 mouse driver from Device Manager manually and check if this helps. Press (Windows key + X) and click on “Device Manager”. Expand “Mouse” or “Mice and other pointing devices”. R click on the driver and select “Update Driver Software”. Once this is done, RESTART the computer and check if the issue persists. Further, you may also look for optional updates in Windows Updates to see if there are any additional updates related to this device and install them as required.
  14. Short video of Bugatti Racer, by Erwin Welker, in FSX Accel. I changed the FDE and it now has 2 JET engines and it jams. Fast, and aerobatic, yet lands gently at 10 kts. Will make another video of it soon. Link: . 20Feb18. Chuck B Napamule
  15. Explaining this mystery is going to take time. Give me a year and MAYBE I can come up with something. Right now I am thinking 'wind?'.' Hot Air?' (sorry, had to say it - hehe). Maybe you just need new GPS hardware? Either way it is not going to keep me awake at night. This is too 'deep' for my brain so I am just going to let it go. How's that? I am OLD enough to know when to quit (ha). Cheers. Chuck B Napamule
  16. GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND. As long as you include 'FSX' in text it should find it for you. I downloaded the Midway 737 from fs2000.org (Perfect Flight) for free (see pic). The Avro is at Quality Wings. Everything you want is not always just at popular FS sites. Then is when Google search will be best option. Chuck B Napamule
  17. I think you should read the README file even before you extract the whole zip package. A simple 'left click' on that file, even before extracted, will bring it up in Notepad so you can read the installation instructions, which no doubt will tell you where to place the Gaugesound.dll. Different modelers will use different ways to do the same thing. It's up to you to judge, then decide, how to go about installing. We all had to learn the pitfalls inherent in installing zip files. Once you learn you 'go with the flow' and it will be a piece of cake. Chuck B Napamule
  18. Here is more video of Andy Johnston's Transformer in FSX showing it doing it's thing. Top Speed: 666 kts/Mach 0.999 (it shakes a LITTLE), Cruise Speed: 450 kts. With spoiler and flap (only 1 position available) it hovers. I have had 'racers' that wouldn't EVEN stay up with THIS guy! It lands at 5 kts. It will hold a 'knife edge' forever! Link: . Chuck B Napamule
  19. I said it wrong. He wants the one with '22' on it and not the one with '15' on it. OK? Sorry. Chuck B Napamule PS: After looking high and low on the net I am starting to suspect that that model/paint might not be a DC-4 but a C-54. Is that possible? I am still looking today (cheesh!) after 4 hrs yesterday (hehe).
  20. My opinion is that it's because of the 'AI' you are riding (IE: Artifishal Intelligence). Ha! I crack myself up sometimes. Chuck B Napamule
  21. It looks like there is no folder structure to the zip. So the files are scattered in the 'aircraft' folder. This is circa 2003. File name is 'bdog_mk1.zip', 7,275,085 bytes, 11-274-2003, 11000+ dnlds. That is the reason why one should extract files to a temp folder. The needed files are all there as far as ci can see. Just need to manually put files where they belong. So NEVER extract ANY zip file directly to any folder under FS9 main folder (scenery included). We can help. I am downloading it now. Chuck B Napamule Update: Yep. Readme has this: 'Installation: Make new Folder in your FS2004\Aircraft folder, label it SA_BULLDOG After downloading the zip, locate it, using your Computer Explorer, etc...' See pic for list of files you need to delete (or MOVE to 'SA_Bulldog' folder you made as per above). They are in the main 'Aircraft' folder so look there for these files. Still have to so 'README' to get it right. Good luck.
  22. The CPU-Z benchmark (with comparison to all other CPUs out there) is here http://valid.x86.fr/bench/sdxsjk . The 'K' means you can overclock it, but then you should get water cooling to be safe. My i7 2600K does 'ok' in FSX (locked at 30 fps) and FS9 is also locked at 30 fps but can get 680 fps. My i7 is 3.5 ghz but will turbo boost to 3.877 ghz (must turn that on in BIOS). But mulit thread is useless with FS9 and FSX as they are single thread so affinity mask (if correct!) is almost a 'must' with FSX. I am happy with my i7 and will overclock and water cool it before I buy a 'faster' (more expen$ive) CPU. Your FS9 looks fantastic. Chuck B Napamule
  23. Tom is right. The one showing in MAIW downloads is not the one he wants. It has number '22' on it and not '15'. I spend 2 hours last night looking every where. To no avil. It's not anywhere else but at Buffalo Airways site. Registering doesn't demand you fly for them. It just allows you to access their downloads. They might ask you to provide your email addy but that's no big deal. 'Mr Budinsky' (me) am out of here (hehe). Chuck B Napamule
  24. Buffalo Airways has it. You just have to register to gain access to their download / forum pages. Chuck B Napamule
  25. That's it. Reload your airplane. Or, better yet, load the C-172, look at panel switches, press 'D' and 'B' key and then load your airplane and everything should reset to 'default'. I think you are 100% correct Jim in your assesment of this aspect, or bug. Makes a lot of sense. Who knew! We learn something everyday, don't we. Cheers. Chuck B Napamule
