    Is Bing maps turned on? For some unexplainable reason, mine is turned off from time to time and flying over Jacksonville, FL looks exactly how you describe Vegas.

    I would see what your temps are, your GPU and CPU I use Core Temp to monitor the CPU temp. I also use MSI afterburner to help monitor the GPU temp as well While in flight I would also do Windows key "G" and see how things are looking. How much memory is being used by the GPU, computer overall

    Just an FYI, I bought the standard and the wife was going to allow me to get the Premium version as an anniversary present. As Steve pointed out, quite expensive. It was going to cost me $100 for the Premium version (on top of the $60 that I had already spent) If your thinking you may want the Premium version later on, save up and purchase it, dont get the standard and want to upgrade :)

    Thanks all for the tips! I was able to find (after a LOT of looking), change to Legacy, then change one setting to FSX, (which makes everything less realistic (like I want it), then I changed it back to Modern. And it worked, finished the flight from where I crashed to KJFK and the outside temp was -9

    Well, I was flying from KBOS to KJFK today, and I ran into an unexpected problem, ice started appearing on the windshield. Did an exterior view, saw ice all over the plane. The outside air temp was -1 Needless to say, it started affecting the aircraft and soon I had nose dived into the Conn landscape. Not unexpected :) However, how do I configure my setup so I dont ice up again? Before you starting hating, I just like to fly, look at the scenery, get from point A to point B. Is there a way so I don't suffer from the effects of the ice? (Besides not flying, or anything like that, lol :) )

    Well, flew without Rex being on, from KHEG (Herlong Field in Jacksonville) to KTPA (Tampa), flight took an hour and 16 minutes, did not CTD. Cautiously optimistic :)

    I too started having CTD post patch as well, 3 in the past 2 days. Thought it might be a time thing, (one flight was over an hour), however my flight from Brooksville FL to KTPA was less then 30 minutes, was on final BOOM CTD! and nothing has changed hardware wise on my end.

    Now I am having CTD's!!! 3rd one in 2 days. Thought the ones yesterday were because my flights were long (1 hr 53 mins) and 45 minutes for the 2nd. Today, flying in bad weather (it's raining in Florida, lol) on approach to Runway 19-R KTPA, 3 miles out, it froze and then the CTD. (20 minutes MAX flight time) All I had running was Rex Weather. Will disable that and just use live weather.

    Have you checked the Content Manager? Might have to delete and redownload them??

    Under the controls (going off of memory), least on mine, it showed a picture of the joystick and had the keys labelled 1-30 so at least I knew where key 11 actually was.

    I feel your frustation, been there, done that (crashes etc.) However, after watching this video, my frustrations are calming down, your mileage may vary, but I think you will enjoy this

    Well, something worked. Not sure which item was missing, but a reboot of the computer seemed to have helped as well :)

    There is an upgrade path, sort of. As was pointed out earlier, and I also found out, if you want the Deluxe or Premium versions, it will cost more then if I had bought them first. I paid $60 for the Basic, decided 2 months later to get the Premium. That would have cost me $99

    I've been one of the fortunate ones, very few CTD. That being said, if I take a LONG flight (since the patch), I can only go about an hour to hour and half before I get the dreaded CTD. Not a solution, but an observation.

    Have you tried using the Drone Camera? I use that ALL the time myself, and it does what you are describing. Use the "Insert" key to bring it up, then under the menu while flying you can control the speed and zoom of the drone. Move the drone with the "W" and "S" to go back and forward, forgot what the left right keys are??

    Trying to do the East Coast tour, says I am missing packages. Tells me to go to Content Manager to get them. However, once in Content Manager, there is no clear way to identify WHICH items I need to download. No, I am not going to download 99 separate items. I've looked through the list, however, I cannot figure out which ones are missing.

    You are correct, the logbook, as it is now, is a joke. For me, I'm lucky if it logs that i've actually flown!

    Thanks all for the help, found the keys I needed to change. As for the settings file, what is the original named and where is it located?
