Here is the situation, I have lowered my framerate in-sim from 60 to 30 (at 60 my GPU was maxing out). I thought I would be getting 30 FPS, however, using Fraps, I see that I am getting consistently 20 FPS. I've confirmed that I do have it set to 30. I would like those extra 10 FPS. I have read on the forum (somewhere) that there is an Nvidia program/setting which controls the framerate in the sim. Can someone point that to me? Thanks!

Yep, two questions :) Prior to the patch, I was able to use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move around the cockpit, very smoothly move it left/right (not sure if up and down were mapped??). Course, since the patch has erased some of the mappings they have to be redone. Problem is, I cannot figure out/remember what those views are labelled in the sim Question two: is there a config file SOMEWHERE that we can copy and save when our settings have been erased? Come the next patch, sure as cats are useless (lol, have two myself, love them, but anyways...) some mappings will be gone. Would be nice if we could just load the config file that we have saved somewhere else other then the sim and reload our settings that we have taken a LONG time to tweak :)

Can you go inside the terminal? (if so, how?) :)

I will say the 172 after landing handles like there is ice on the runway, I went EVERYWHERE except where I wanted to go. Not CTD though, but will check to see if it is still Legacy

Nice, I need to go and see how it looks :) With the airport updates (KATL), is it just the outside, or does the inside get upgraded? If so, how does one view the inside? I remember theorizing that you could use the drone view, but not sure if that would work

I "think" the lower the realism, the more you can do things you should not be able to do in the real world, like go through buildings, trees. I just tried the drone at KJAX, did not go walking through the terminal, however, it is a stock terminal, so perhaps there is nothing to walk around in??

I have my realism set to the lowest setting, and then I take the drone out for "looking" around the airport. Now, I have not gone inside a BIG airport, but I can navigate my way around. Because I can go through buildings (please don't hate, this is how I enjoy using the sim, lol), I imagine one can go inside the building and "walk" around. Just a guess??

The "only" advice I can give is, did you press any key at that point (spacebar??) 1 patch ago (I think) they removed that "feature", perhaps it got turned back on?? Grasping at straws

I've found the ILS for KTPA to be screwy at times, I usually use 19R and some days it works, others it does not. I come in from Brooksville to KTPA. I know this is not much help. I would try some other ones, Clearwater has worked for me in the past, Sarasota/Bradenton, and Orlando (KMCO) ILS 8 in KJAX works most of the time as well

There are MULTIPLE postings about the camera views on this forum, also there are a number of You Tube videos (which I have used myself) to help all of this with the crazy camera setup. Also, a Google search would probably bring up a lot more "refined" results.

Crazy thought just hit me, could it be your anti-virus? Is Steam in the excluded list of programs? If it is sticking on ONE file, then it could be a program preventing it? Have you alt/tabbed though the list of open programs/windows? You might have one hidden that is stopping the process. Just some random thoughts

Is there a way to have it display the time on the selection screen by using your local clock/time instead of Universal?

When in the sim, main page, look for Content Manager, you should be able to download the "greyed" items.

This is affecting a LOT of us (me included), I've landed on the runway, shut down, it "may" get recorded. I land, taxi to the parking spot that I've been directed towards, It "may" or may not get recorded. Can't figure it out. Or, if I do get it recorded, it's in the vicinity. Hmm, I landed AT the airport on the runway, yet I am only in the vicinity. Sigh

Its not just you :) Small consolation I know. One thing to check is make sure you ARE NOT in dev mode. That will not record logbook entries As for the other problems, we shall see

Inside the sim, go to Options, click on keyboard, search for Camera, make your changes, F11 to save Rinse repeat for the Yoke.

Yea, you dont get a break on the price if you buy the Standard and then want to "upgrade" to Premium. You will end up paying full price for the Premium. My wife was going to get me the Premium version for our anniversary until I saw the cost, ain't going to pay full price, on top of what I've already paid.

Got it solved!!! Thank you You tube! Found a video on how to use ILS on the 172. In it, I found the "G" and the diamond, which was what I was looking for :)

This was an issue with their first version of the new software. If I remember correctly (dangerous I know), you will need to uninstall, reboot, reinstall as an admin (right click on the installer, run as admin), even if your an admin. If that does not work, I would suggest emailing them. I have the latest version and it has not asked me my registration info each time I use it, however, this had been a problem in the past.

Done that, got the lining up part taken care of. It's the glideslop portion

Got a crazy question about ILS and the 172. I learned how to use ILS (can't think of the name of instrument), but in order to be on the correct glide slope, you had to have a horizontal line to help on the glide slope, along with the horizontal to line me up with the runway. On the 172 in MSFS, all I have is the vertical line to line up with the runway. I am 100% certain I am missing something.

Look in your settings under Flight Model. Make sure your in "Modern" AND NOT IN "Legacy"(this is for the OP)

Once your inside the sim, look for the Content Manager, there you should find your missing places, lessons, scenery etc., just waiting for you to redownload. The exact thing happened to me 2 days ago when I reloaded it. Now, as for the problems you are having with the lessons, I will let someone else help out :)
