  1. The VFR map is a known CTD bug. Can you get it open using the drop down menu from the top?
  2. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/world-update-i-japan-patch-version-1-9-3-is-now-available/287453 KNOWN ISSUES Game may crash if the VFR Map is not opened right after starting the flight
  3. I am guessing probably not due to files being written in different places. That being said, I would like to move mine as well :)
  4. No there is not. From windows, hit the windows key, type joy.cpl and you can calibrate it that way
  5. You need to bind a key to the increase sim rate. It's actually two keys. In the general settings, Controls, select keyboard. Type in "sim" in the first search box. Change the filter to ALL. You should have 3 options, SIM RATE, increase sim rate and decrease set rate Select Increase sim rate (clear out any entries already there). I use R and +, validate it, then move on toe decrease sim rate, I use R and the - key. Validate and save. As others have pointed out, you will need to keep track of how many times you have pressed the increase sim rate key, I usually do it twice.
  6. Have you tried the drone view? Using the "Insert" key to launch it, I can zip around my plane in external view, zoom into objects etc. Wish I could use the mouse wheel to zoom, but oh well :)
  7. I do a quick Google search. Herlong Airport code (comes up with HEG, I know to put the "K" there)
  8. Are you in developer mode? If so, turn it off and you should get your logging back. Now as for the duplicate departure and arrivals, can't help :(
  9. Hmm, I do have developers mode on, it was working with it on, however, I will turn it off and see what happens!!! Edit-that did it!!! Turning off developers mode allowed the logbook to be written, showing my 7 minute flight from KJAX to KCRG!!!!
  10. When you are flying in a dense area in MSFS, do Windows key "G", and see what is maxing out, ram, CPU or GPU I doubled my RAM to 32 and it has helped a little, I was using 80-85% of RAM, now I am at 50%. Worth getting?? debatable
  11. Well, I had an inspiration and did a search on my C drive for "logbook". Found a bunch of entries, but was able to eliminate them by looking at the date, 9/16/2020 at 2:13pm, my last flight before the patch. No other entries after that. I changed the file extension on the 3 files that I had located to _old and did a quick flight. The results were mixed. My old log book entries were gone, blank, however, it showed that I had already put in 15 hours, and the flight I just flew, was not logged. Sigh, mixed results. Was hoping that if those files were eliminated, a new logbook would be created.
  12. I should have been precise :) i've found the logbook in the sim, but was wondering where it is at on my computer? I have flown a few hours since the patch, still stuck at 14 hours :(
  13. Yes it is. I've read different posts that peeps have done it, just not sure of the HOW part, but it can be done.
  14. Where is the logbook for MSFS located? Since the patch on the 16th, my flights are not being recorded.
  15. Think the logbook is not updating since I've patched it. Made two flights, one from Ferendina Beach to KRCG, landed. KNIP to KCRG, used ILS to land (was nice!!) However, the logbook does not show either flight occurring.
  16. I kept getting the dreaded 0X80073CF9 error message each time I attempted to download the patch. After doing a LOT of reading, trying the suggestions, more reading, this is what I did to get the patch. Created a directory in C:\\Windows called AUInstallAgent Rebooted the computer Restarted MSFS. This time I got a different message basically telling me, I have to download the patch. Went to the Windows Store, found out it was already downloading the 600 meg patch, ran that and I am guessing, it found the AUInstallAgent directory and put the 19 gig patch there (??) However it worked, it worked!!!! Decompressing the files as I type
  17. I've found that on some airports, using the approach mode does not work correctly, others, WOW, very nice.
  18. C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.7.14.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe Trying looking for FlightSimulator.exe there
  19. Alt + F4 will force it to quit, however, any progress you've made (flight time, landings) will not be recorded.
  20. I hear it if I take off and my joystick is not calibrated, I let go of the stick and the plane will nose dive at the ground, the "dont sink" message starts blaring :)
  21. Bind a key to your joystick for External View (that's what I did). I do miss the "W" key option though, however, I have since discovered the Drone!! That has made a big difference for me!!! I took a tour of Mayport Naval Air Station using the drone.
  22. You need to go into your keyboard bindings, find the sim rate, unfilter everything. Then you should see sim rate increase and sim rate decrease. You then need to assign a key combo, like R + (I use the numbers plus sign), for sim rate increase, then for sim rate decrease, assign a key combo like R - (I use the number minus sign). Once that is done, F11 (to save it) and that should do it.
