  1. Last thing I saw, the release was planned for 31/12/22. Haven't got any change of plans about that date, but it was several months ago. https://www.flightsimwebshop.com/products/honeycomb-charlie-rudder-pedals
  2. So it can only fly for 20 minutes? About as much use as a chocolate teapot....
  3. Show aircraft.cfg for the offending aircraft - Gulfstream lawyers are notably reluctant to allow representation of `their` airplanes so what you have is obviously freeware, and possibly very shoddy. Use of a CRJ panel is suspect if you ask me...

    Jf r44

AFAIK the JF one is for FSX only. Updated for DX10 from an original FS2004 model. What one are you suggesting could be modified for P3D?
  5. Don't use a key press. Use Mouse controller...
  6. No wings? And that's a plane? My cat flies above the couch, but it couldn't be described as an Aviating Kitty.. Flying bomb, more like... remember the Hindenburg!
  7. I've not been banned by ORBX? Mebbe I did something right by not giving them my correct email addy?!
  8. Don't ask. Even LESS tolerant! They thought they banned me years ago!
  9. Until/Unless you can GUARANTEE `Joe Bloggs` can prove he can drive a car, I'm not leaving the house either. Electric self-flying my arse! Self-crashing more like.
  10. I have done a full IFR flight. with limited-viz landing, also in a 737 NG simulator. From Burgess Hill as I recall, but can't remember the simulator school - A gift from a retired-pilot relative. £500 or thereabouts. I didn't know there was so much I didn't know, but inspired me to get my Instrument Rating IRL ...
  11. I would have agreed with you prior to the recent Boeing debacle, but now it's Airbus all the way. It is not about the aircraft per se, just my suspicion about the licensing authorities in the US v. Europe and the ROTW. The UK CAA are just as bad, mad amd corrupt IMHO, too... And I can only say that because absolutely NO ONE here has my real pilot name, so they can't find, track, trace and pull my licence....
  12. Just because it vibrates, doesn't make it accurate. My bike vibrates, but not in a good way. Just because it thumps, doesn't make it a recreation.
  13. Yes, and mine. Trying to create the impression of real flying misses so much of the vibration, audio and visual cues as to be UTTERLY pointless at this point. No doubt it will get better over time, but in my experience so far - and both of them - I don't see a real advance. TrackIR just sucks at virtual recreation in this sim. So come on the future iterations of virtual flying as there is little doubt if the whole paraphernalia is better optimised it's gonna be worth looking at again. But it is all too clunky at the moment -and has all the hallmarks of non-pilots trying to fake being pilots... which they aren't. Perhaps we'll need some new advances in hardware?

  15. Depends on how many times you click: Your image gives a pair of shots at 93% on my monitor. If I select the images and request they post separately I get 100%...
  16. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool - thus spake Stephen Hawking And Douglas Adams wrote:"a common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools" I have seen Teslas being driven from the passenger seat, and have hands-on experience of pilots who believe they know how to drive, so I know it's true... It just takes one idiot, among thousands.... And who checks the drone pilots? Surely if they knew they would be real pilots?
  17. In addition you can add: Height to be/expected to be flown. You woudn't necessarily choose a higher flight level for ALL the above reasons, PLUS the capabilities of the individual aircraft. Know of several that are limited to lower flight levels (the upper teens) and thusly the airline route.
  18. I concur - VR is not YET fit for purpose. Give it another iteration or two (maybe three) and it will be at least up to the current level of in-cockpit representation - if not beyond. Then way may ALL decide to go VR... But not yet.
  19. None of the default aircraft are equipped with a 2d panel in X-Plane 11. So you would need to use an aircraft that comes with one (most likely older aircraft designed for an older version of X-Plane). If the plane comes with a 2d panel that isn't displaying, you can file a bug report.
  20. Yep. Can't be a DC-3 as that, of course has a low wing, this has a shoulder wing! Also, no DC-3/C-47 had the pilots positioned above the cabin. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_Freighter Good spot for the four-bladed prop!
  21. With https://www.carenado.com/sitecarenado/product/s550-citation-ii-hd-series-fsx-p3d/that system, I'd go for P3D. It works just fine with just 16 gig RAM... https://www.carenado.com/sitecarenado/product/s550-citation-ii-hd-series-fsx-p3d/
  22. Proof? one cannot rip off something which is a recreation of an actual creation by anyone else. I don't see proof to back up the allegation.
  23. Doesn't work with ORBX, right?
  24. Needs proper thinking abaht, well before we let loose non-pilots in the air. Drones, cars, all have the same idiots behind the controls, I've already had a near-miss with a drone and all my fellow pilots have the same reservation. Not that we're in any way biased, but I've had numerous experiences with qualified pilots some of whom couldn't tie their own show laces... and THEY somehow get Pilot's Licences! Last time I was in the car park a Pilot managed to tip his car off the hard standing, and that was at ground level! They still let him fly!
