  1. Speculation, just idle speculation. Probably correct, but it will be for those who follow in a thousand years to prove.
  2. Y'know, I've accessed TV for years with the computer alone. Don't have - and will never need - a TV licence. Watching the snooker Masters on the BBC Channel, right now, on my PC....
  3. DO learn more about the install routines for FSX. You are trying to run before you can walk. Sound folder is a SEPARATE entity...
  4. Rebuild the .cfg file first, simple and takes seconds.
  5. Not me. I only ever fly GA. Gave up on airliners year ago. But I do occasionally fly multi-passenger military transports....
  6. Looks like a problem with calibration. Have you modified the axis?
  7. Yes. Try reading the instructions. Engaging the autopilot can be several different operations.
  8. Various versions of the R-1820 Cyclone WERE available with turbosuperchargers.... Not the ones usual to the DC-3 nor C-47 though.

  10. XP12 works just fine, as it does under Win 11.
  11. Awful news - it's not like we can spare a WWII Bell or Boeing!
  12. Tech for tech's sake? Waste of time - and money!
  13. Yes, I remember how backward you yanks are. But as I recall we brits didn't get seatblets mandated until January 1983.
  14. If you draw it, we will come.... ...Just as soon as tech catches up - and the laws of physics no longer apply! NO seat belts?
  15. The issue isn't the hardware, or even the software. The issue is the inconsistency of the dates the games present. I have NO representation for the local streets newly added in my area - and Leeming Bar is a local airfield. PLEASE stop emphasizing what does NOT exist. The software is the issue, the choice of the supplier of raw info the problem...
  16. Graphic card? Gonna want to upgrade, soonest. Then CPU, then HDD.
  17. No it isn't. I wish you'd justify such a quote with evidence. There is none to be seen here. I know what you allude to, but it requires fast and reliable internet connection and connection which can GUARANTEE constant updates, persistently updated. I wasn't aware FS2020 was able to guarantee such speed and consistency?
  18. Ah! So a real pilot then? Don't think the `average car driver` even knows what an airport is, let alone how to get there... unless they're off on holiday.
  19. Reading elsewhere, seems like a significant downgrading of the range `promises`? Over-promising AND under-delivering? How much longer `til they throw in the towel? I can't trust a plane called `Alice` - maybe it's too Wonderland?
  20. My nearest airport is about 60 miles away, or about an hour by car. Where is the advantage? Do you even know what fuel costs, or are you still pedaling?
  21. You DO realise the V-22 Osprey has used a very similar approach for over a decade..? More than 400 in service. https://www.bellflight.com/products/bell-boeing-v-22 The main difference is that the AW uses a pressurised fuselage where the Osprey is unpressurised. So I guess the AW609 is built tougher than the Osprey...
  22. Still MUST operate from a real aiport though. So nowhere near as practical as needs be...
