  1. There are at least two airworthy Meteors in the UK. Both are based at Watlington, Chalgrove Airfield.... Both were used by Martin Baker for ejection seat testing. There are at least two more undergoing restoration at RAF Yeovilton, the Fleet Air Arm museum. I don't know their current status. There is also one that is airworthy in the USA...
  2. https://www.prepar3d.com/latest-news/ inc. change details.
  3. P3d v5.3 is out. Client, Content and Scenery all need updating, unlike prior versions... Warning P3D v5.3 is now about 30 gig, not 23...:)
  4. `F1` then `F2` (pressed and held) should do it.
  5. Aye. Believe promises, but expect to be disappointed...
  6. 32" Monitor is NOT the same screen res as a 40" TV. Go for the highest res you (and your GPU) can afford and still maintain the required frame rate.
  7. Especially when they only have 218 knots/251 mph at just 17K. Currently. Less than HALF what they promise... Laminar Flow? `Streamline Lying` more like...
  8. I had a conversation with my instructor about landing slightly to the left of the centreline on the asphalt runway. He refused to accept my `excuse` until I pointed out the raised centreline inducing a front wheel oscillation, before finally concedng I knew more about that particular runway than he did... `Local` knowledge better than perceived wisdom?
  9. You are aware it's TWENTY years old at this point? Release date 29th July 2003!
  10. They are addons for the appropriate addons, which you clearly don't have.
  11. Let me know when the triple-supercharged diesel reaches 50,000 FT. I'll be in line for the next in the production line!
  12. Different wingtips. Longer Fuselage. https://www.baslerturbo.com/overview.html Doesn't take long to realise the many differences...
  13. Doesn't look all that different to me... Many aircraft have mimicked that aerodynamic look before.
  14. No, more than that needs be done. Please research the turboprop and compare it to the DC-3....
  15. Oh really? Different OS, different app software... unless you know better?
  16. Sounds about right. When I learned we even had to weigh each pilot, to be sure. I know it can't fill tanks and pax seat, even a heavy pilot needed to be careful.

  18. I go the other way: MSFS is not yet fit for purpose, in my view, and requires a fast internet connection. I'd go for P3D which is now at 5.2. FSX is obsolescent - and abandoned - by MS.
  19. But the difference - even a small one - is worth it!
  20. Not that I'm aware. P3d v5.2 uses more precise mesh AND supports sloped runways. You can but try and see... https://prepar3d.com/news/announcements/2021/06/120807/
  21. I would encourage you to make a statement of WHO you are, and WHERE you are. A website may be of interest, also. Nobody trusts a first poster in the Swapsies forum!
  22. Use the system we real pilots use: Don't aim for the runway; aim instead for the END of the runway and ensure the `sight picture` is parallel with both front and rear aligned in the FOV.

    P3D and ORBX

I'd add to that, also for de-installing something. ORBX is simplicity in use and easy to re-use. I've got rid of Vector recently, and reinstalled something from Oz that I previously had under V3 but now is upgraded for V5.2. Can't remember the airport but it may be Brisbane.
  24. Aye, If you've deleted it, you've lost them all. Do them again.
