  2. FS2004 Parnall Elf

FS2004 Parnall Elf. The Elf was launched in 1929 as a two seat tourer. Originally it was built with a Cirrus Hermes 1 engine - one was built. The Mk2 featured a Cirrus Hermes 2 engine which, being more powerful gave an enhanced performance but only two were built. Although not a commercial success it was a typical British light aircraft of its day. The sole survivor, modelled here, is kept in flying condition at the Shuttleworth Trust at Old Warden airfield, home of many vintage classics. Although modelled for FS2004, it flies nicely in FSX as well. By David Molyneaux.

  13. FS2004/FSX Blackburn B-2 Trainer

FS2004/FSX Blackburn B-2 Trainer. This highly polished biplane is a well-known resident at the Shuttleworth vintage aircraft collection at Old Warden airfield. G-AEBJ was built by Blackburn Aircraft Ltd in 1936, it was one of only 42 sold after the prototype was first flown in 1931, and is the only one still flying today. Don't expect a sizzling performance from this vintage trainer, it was built for strength, not speed. Built in Gmax for FS2004, it also performs reasonably well in FSX. By David Molyneaux.

FS2004/FSX Sopwith Triplane Black Maria texture. The Sopwith Triplane was a British single seat fighter aircraft designed and manufactured by the Sopwith Aviation Company during the First World War. Pilots nicknamed it the Tripehound or simply the Tripe. The Triplane became operational with the Royal Naval Air Service in early 1917 and was immediately successful. Collishaw flew three separate Sopwith Triplanes, all called Black Maria - N5384, N5492, and N533. This is the second airframe, N5492, a single gunned Triplane with the black markings Collishaw's unit bore as a distinquishing characteristic. By Mark Powell.
