FS2004 Scenery--Nursery Corner Farm near Ottawa, Canada. Nursery Corner is a tree nursery around 12 miles southwest of Rideau Valley Airpark CPL3 (which did not appear in FS2004 but is downloadable (RIDEAUVL.ZIP) and 6 miles south of Hicks Farm (HICKSFRM.ZIP). Fly west from CPL3 along the river and Hicks Farm will be on the south side; fly south from Hicks parallel to the roads, cross a small river (if you have Ultimate Terrain!) and in an area which has place names like Hutchins Corners and Pattersons Corners will be the farm field with two grass runways at right angles among the nursery rows of trees. FS2004 Scenery--Hicks Farm
FS2004 Scenery--Hicks Farm near Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Hicks Farm is in Ontario and around 8 miles west of Rideau Valley Airpark CPL3 (which did not appear in FS2004 but is downloadable as RIDEAUVL.ZIP). CPL3 is 15 miles south of Ottawa Airport, tucked into a right angle bend of the Rideau River. Ultimate Terrain puts the river into place, and there is some doubt how CPL3 or CF12 work without UT as the river is close to both of them. Fly west from CPL3 along the river and Hicks Farm will be on the south side. It has a (mainly) grass runway 34/16 with a section of asphalt and totals some 5, 500 feet overall, though not all of that is now usable as Alan is no longer flying his Lear from the field and the grass has grown longer. FS2004 Scenery--Shade Tree Airport
FS2004 Scenery--Shade Tree Airport. Shade Trees runway is 2400 feet long with a 1000 foot overrun north of the runway. Although the overrun can be used for takeoff it is not to be used for landing except for an overrun to stop on when landing from the south on runway 35. When landing from the north attempt to touch down at the second set of markers on runway 17 (where the yellow arrow is pointing). During wet weather the area between the first and second set of markers tends to get a bit soft. Once you have landed you should taxi back and exit the runway mid-field (as illustrated by the blue arrow). There is also a taxiway on the north end (across from the yellow arrow) that can be used to exit the runway by high wing aircraft such as a C-172 but larger aircraft or aircraft with wide landing gear might find it a bit tight. When you are ready to leave, enter the runway mid-field as there the runway has a slight crest. Entering the runway from either end should be avoided as the crest is high enough to obscure the opposite end and any aircraft that may be waiting to take-off. By Nate Barkum.177 downloads

FS2004 Scenery--Bank Farm Field
FS2004 Scenery--Bank Farm Field near Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Bank Farm field is 11 miles south and a bit east of Ottawa airport, just west of Bank Street that wriggles its way south out of Ottawa. There is a grass runway 08/26 that is 2600 feet long with great grass and a small (and old) hangar that is now only used to house the farm owner's Cessna 172 during the winter. There is also a large old barn and the house is right on the approach to the runway from the east; approach 08 between the barn and the house and straighten it out on very short final.
