  1. Lol, how important?...in the little aeroplane I fly most I can alter the trim by leaning forward in my seat
  2. Rubbish, 2000fpm is quite ok for most people without any prior "special technique" some harmless ear popping might be experienced It can't have been any different when you used to fly a lot, but I guess it reinforces the Skygod image old pilots seem to want to impress on others How fast do you reckon a novice tandem skydive participant descends? and what special techniques do you imagine they are taught before dropping from 14k? I am current in high performance un pressurised aircraft and did my first freefall jump from 14k, not a google 'expert' in case you were wondering
  3. Take a look on the Misty Moorings website for some great floatplane base addons, all free
  4. Hardware...check your GPU isnt actually overheating. You mention in your first post that you re-installed MSFS on an SSD,, has this SSD been installed somewhere it could be restricting airflow?
  5. Is it definitely a Mod David?, the An-2 does come with a GNS530/430 variant included, though I havn't tried it
  6. I suppose it depends how you define runways, but if you include Grass strips, then Westonzoyland and Middle Zoy must be hard to beat Ive been into Westonzoyland many times irl and its weird being in the circuit and looking down at a different airfield. (they are about 1/2 a kilometre apart)
  7. Hi Skorna, you can also buy the discs from some pilot's supply outfits like Transair I'm sure other places too. Duck, perhaps you'd like to edit the forthright but incorrect assertion in your first post?
  8. Yea I have that and it fills in some gaps in stock MSFS, but tbh there are better freeware versions of some of the places. Abergavenny for instance has a freeware version that is far more accurate on flightsim.to
  9. Abergavenny to Kemys Commander, in fact there are plenty of farm strips close to each other in the UK , enough that you could hop your way around the countryside like a demented frog
  10. No it can't, what you described isnt full screen mode its windowed mode
  11. I don't bother with a rolling cache, it seems to make no difference to performance
  12. So thats ruled out ten...honestly can't think of anything else that would cause Duck's problem except operator error
  13. I suspect you haven't fully explained your situation, perhaps you could elaborate? Perhaps you actually changed to a new PC? and your purchase key didnt work as its tied to your hardware (window worked like that for a short time, I forget what version)
  14. Rather a a definitive statement and not true. Every Airplane Ive flown irl except an rv8 (not that many I'll admit) had the pivot point below the actual pedal..the reverse of the TPR.
  15. It warned me about not having the A310 Installed but it didnt make me re-install it. Im often puzzled that different users get different things happening in this sim (unless its different version I have store/PC version)
  16. You dont have to use Legacy to have those functions they are all available with Modern flight model. Try it
  17. Thanks Randy, my current pedals also use their own port and I have a seperate joystick and throttle (not a yoke user) so not a problem. But its all on hold for while now as I just spent half an hour in the workshop and courtesy of a soldering Iron, some super Glue and Bicarbonate of soda my pedals live again, Ill remember your comments when they get beyond fixing
  18. tried to edit post wouldnt let me...so following on: Sorry im mixing the TFRP up with the TPR pedals (acronyms always confuse me), How do you rate them Randy?...godd/bad points?
  19. First pedals I ever had were the CH Products, back in the days when everything was old dsub serial port connected, but thats so long ago I cant remember how good/bad they were. Ive looked at the tfrp ones, but no way am I paying £400-£500 which is what they go for over here in the UK (amazing you can got them for what works out at just over £100 Randy, id buy a set for that straight away)
  20. For a few years now I've been using a set of Saitek Rudder pedals, they've never been any more than adequate but now the plastic is starting to crack in places and last night the left brake stopped working. So im looking for some new pedals, the prices I've seen are like everything today..... shocking, but nothing I can do about that. Anybody got recommendations?, 90% of my time is in light taildraggers so they get a lot of use
  21. Yea, and that colour scheme..yuk, aImost as bad as the real world wizzair livery
