  1. Hi, I can’t really comment on the Xbox myself, but I watched a YouTube video earlier tonight on the Turtle Velocity yoke..and it does look good! I have the Honeycomb yoke and throttles (which are superb) but the velocity set looks like serious competition for Honeycomb. As for the Xbox.. Tim (Tiger1962) uses both a pc & Xbox so no doubt he’ll be replying to this soon. Regards Steve
  2. From the link (within the link I posted earlier) ————————————————- I figured it out bro. Its not MS or FS. Its a stupid overlay put on my Nahimic Audio drivers when you plug in a compatible audio device… to fix it: Launch Nahimic app Go to Soundtracker (3rd menu item on the left) Click the “power button” to turn it off —————————————————- Hope this helps. Regards Steve
  3. How about this one? https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/content.php?21215-Microsoft-Flight-Simulator-New-Ideas-New-Beginnings Regards Steve
  4. Hi, I also see the pilot sometimes (in VR) It’s not ideal, but you could always move your viewpoint forward a bit There is a similar thread about it from a couple of weeks back… https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?334662-Since-Last-update-I-am-seeing-two-hands-the-back-of-a-pilots-head-and-glasses Regards Steve
  5. No problem. You’re running Win 10 21H1 is fine…. but going by your reply, you ONLY HAVE 4GB OF RAM (not the bare minimum of 8Gb) personally I would recommend 16gb as being the minimum this is what you have installed… https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-GTWW1-DIMM-2400-1RX16/dp/B077VH1F9Z The first bit.. “SSDR 16G P32…etc” is a solid state drive, (not Ram) http://www.mercateo.co.uk/p/2113-0X1NJ/SSDR_16G_P32_80S3_OPTM_PRO8000_Harddrives_SSD.html I think you need to upgrade. Regards Steve
  6. It’s to do with your audio drivers. This might help.. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/large-transparent-blue-circle-on-right-side/314466 Regards Steve
  7. It will work with a GTX 1050 Ti I’m not sure about the cpu though. Maybe someone else can confirm if that’s enough to run it. 8gb of ram isn’t ideal either, although that’s the minimum. We don’t know ram speed of course, or what type it is (DDR3..DDR4..etc) so you may need to upgrade the ram too. If the sim will work, you’re talking minimum specs for everything there so don’t expect much. I always say you should make sure all your pc specs are on at least the recommended level. Preferably at the ideal spec level. What version of windows have you got installed? You need Windows 10 (1909 build) at least. I know it’s too late for you now..but you could have bought the game pass one month’s trial (for just £1 / $1 ) which would have let you test the sim to see if it will run. Regards Steve
  8. I agree about getting the best you can afford. I went with the premium deluxe from day one and not regretted it. Mine is the MS Store version though, rather than Steam. I’m not a huge fan of Steam but that’s just me. One thing most of us can agree on though.. don’t get the dvd disc version as you will still have to download large chunks of it anyway, especially whenever an update is released. Plus with the discs, you always need to keep disc 1 in your drive…. and some say they’ve had errors trying to read the discs. Can’t say I’ve ever tried air manager (or know anything about it) I was using multiple screens from the start (even as an alpha tester) but I had to run the sim in windowed mode, with the view dragged across the three screens. You can undock some screens, so you might be able to do as you’re hoping. I don’t think the sim has “multi monitor” support yet though. I still have three screens but I don’t really use them now (VR changed things! Lol) I bet it’ll be good with a projector though :) my setup.. Regards Steve
  9. Just launched the sim after a hard week at work. As usual I updated Windows (11) first. There was a cumulative update but not much else. I also updated MS Store apps. I don’t think there was anything relating to the sim I launched MSFS (in VR) and it’s running much smoother than it was a week ago! I have checked the graphics settings twice in case any had been reduced, but no. In fact I’ve even increased a couple of settings now and it’s running rather well. Maybe it’s to do with MS servers? I’m not sure, but I’m enjoying it :) Regards Steve
  10. Hi, firstly I would make sure windows 10 (or 11) is completely up to date. Then I would update everything in the MS Store. You haven’t said which version of MSFS you have bought, or what your computer specs are? Regards Steve
  11. So it’s not just a typo then LOL I too would like to know which drugs they have been taking. Regards Steve
  12. Sounds like your charging lead is underpowered or faulty? Hi MSFS shouldn’t affect the battery if the laptop is plugged in Regards Steve
  13. Hi Kevin, I’m pretty sure there used to be parking brake on and off settings before the update. However, now there is only a “set parking brake” setting (& a toggle setting) So what I did.. made sure the lever is halfway.. selected “set parking brake” and moved the lever down. It detected the L-Axis X+ and works as previously. I presume the heating controls will work the same way, but I’ve got buttons on the bravo for that, Regards Steve
  14. Did you also check the accessibility options tab (under general options)? There are a few there too.. like “cockpit interaction system” - you’ll want to change it to legacy. Plus there are tooltip options on that section too. Regards Steve
  15. I don’t often fly the Baron G58, but thought I’d try it now… did a quick circuit around Leeds/Bradford. No problems at all. How did it go with the Bonanza? If you’re having the same problems, then try rebinding your throttles etc and see if it makes a difference. Regards Steve
  16. Maybe that’s the problem? The co-pilot (A.l.) is controlling the plane If turning the assists off doesn’t sort it, try re-binding the brake & throttle controls. I use an old throttle lever for the parking brake. It wouldn’t work after SU7 until I removed the binding and then rebound it. Regards Steve
  17. Hi, I haven’t checked out their USA addons yet, but Orbx do some very good UK scenery. I presume their other addons will be just as good. Certainly worth a look. https://orbxdirect.com/category/north-america/msfs Regards Steve
  18. I recommend you take a look at the tutorials on YouTube. There’s a guy who calls himself “Squirrel” who does some excellent ones, like this one…. Regards Steve
  19. Great! Glad it’s working again :) Regards Steve
  20. I don’t think you can. There’s a switch on the right hand side of the cockpit but it doesn’t appear to do anything. There’s also a “manual canopy open” on the left.. that also doesn’t do anything. Regards Steve
  21. I have just tried out the replay feature.. and although it’s a little buggy.. it does work. You CAN play it back and change the views during flight! I did a quick take off and fly aroundafter pressing the record button. I didn’t use my VR headset during the recording. I stopped the recording and played it back..in VR. I could look around, just as I can normally. I sat back and enjoyed the ride. I checked it in 2D mode and it worked just the same, using my mouse to look around :) The camera view option in this (part 2) is only if you want to make a video. But to sit back and watch your recording, you don’t need to bother doing this. It is exactly what I’ve been waiting for! I can now re-fly my flights as a passenger.. in 2d or VR! It’s perfect for demonstrating the sim to friends and family, without them having to worry about controlling the aircraft. Playback does appear to be a little jerky ( certainly in VR) but it’s not bad. Edit: actually it doesn’t playback exactly as I would like.l just had another go and although I am free to look around during playback, the view was changing around by itself.. playing the view I was seeing as I made the recording. When I made the (brief) first recording, I did most of it in external view. Then watching the recording while sat inside the plane was fine. However, recording it while sat in the plane also records your head movements. Hope this makes sense. I take it back… taken the Typhoon (addon) for a spin. Recording in external view now appears to only playback in external view. I can look around though LOL I guess the new feature is full of bugs, but it’s a start. If you record a flight, keeping your head/view aimed forward then it’ll work a treat and you can play it back, enjoying the views. Regards Steve
  22. Hi Jock, mine is also set to pause and it works fine. There are actually two bindings for ESC… under miscellaneous.. “SET PAUSE OFF” under menu…. “TOGGLE PAUSE” Regards Steve
  23. It always says it’s not installed. It’s the same for everyone (with Honeycomb throttles) As long as your bravo is lit up and working, don’t worry about it. Regards Steve
