Hi all First of all I am a newbie, I am Having trouble with the Airbus A320 ,I recently set a flight plan from Gatwick to Manchester ,the plane seemed to follow the route ok except the display on the left keeps disappearing, coping with that I continued ,then when told to reduce height I tried to reduce and the height went up instead of down ,something is not right with this aircraft, I only set the minimum of assistance not being able to reduce height was a true spoiler, what kills it for me you can fly right to the airport you want to land at and things beyond your control start to go wrong what a waste of time, can anyone please advise me if I am doing anything wrong maybe the flight plan, but i have watched loads of vids on the subject does the problem lie with the assists I set, or is the plane just broken idk i even set up and flew a route from a vid disaster struck and I ended up in a field ,I don't want to give up, but I am heading that way when i say i am a newbie i mean for this sim ,I did use FSX wasn't very good at it but had many hrs on it ,can anyone please advise where I might be going wrong because I have had a degree of success with the Airbus A320 now it seems to have gone to pot. kind regards Andrew

I downloaded it before it was in the market place.I think it was directly from Areolsoft .

Hi I am no expert but whenever i get a problem i try plugging in things 1 at a time and if that works add something else this way you can find out what is causing the issue ,also make sure you have the latest version of the OS and that all updates are up to date, i am an absolute novice and through encouragement in the forum i wont give up lol Regards Andrew

This is so simple to do find your community folder and drag and drop in there, posts about it are in abundance just search it

Hi I found a workaround for this if its a problem for some ppl if you make an ISO Disk Image of disk 1 and mount it to the virtual drive that created you dont need a disk in the drive all the time.

well i have the almost the same specs as you but only 16 gig of ram and I run at 4k i would set everything to default and reset everything sometimes its best to just start with default setting you need yje data and photogrammetry why turn them off ? i personally just started with default settings and took it from there.

When the update comes out next week relaunch msfms2020 fro the app store and it should update mine is like that also. Your sim should work ok in the mean time ,everyone is waiting for the patch/update whatever its called lol Regards Andrew

Hi if I were you i would contact Areolsoft they are very good and sent me a screen shot of where to download the extra content for the PD edition lol and stuff what does your content Manager say ? I am at a loss at the risk of telling you wrong. Regards Andrew

I am a beginner through and through and am struggling with it, sure I have learnt a bit but charts and navigation in general are hard to follow and get a grip of youtube vids for the most part very good but they assume you know stuff like heading and setting up the aircraft some can be really hard to follow of course its up to me which I watch, but I don't want to be watching vids all the time. I think I will give it another week or so and if I don't get anywhere I may well ditch it and call it a bad investment.

Glad its all working out I hate it when someone seems to be struggling I am by no means an expert lol but I do like to try and help when I feel I can I personally am Basically a new beginner to sims how does it go I know Nothing but reading and watching vids I mostly don't answer posts on here unless I definitely know the answer less risk of flaming or misleading the person your trying to help. I am in my later yrs (74) but I bought this sim hoping i could learn to use it lol its going pretty slow at the moment i am thinking i will learn more hands on. Hi I dont want to pee on your bonfire but i would really check out the place where you bought it from .when you load msfs20 from disk you load 1 - 10 after that you use the card provided to activate and then download the rest of the planes Airports etc you did get a card in your pack ? honestly it should be absolutlely painless it was for me i did get a little lost at fist after loading dvd's but after finding downloads and updates in ms store it was easy did you look there After Activation, it does not give all planes /airport from dvd's .Hope this helps regards Andrew

i think the best place is on the same drive as the installation in a folder named so you can recognise obviously.

Im really confused its been mentioned that a patch is due out today thursday 27th icant find any info on it,i am losing my faith in this sim as time goes on i want to like it but all the faff thats going on tells me is it worth it maybe its me that just cant use it well enough yet i am trying lol And i will keep doing so for now.

Hi i got into fsx as my first sim got over 600hrs but i never really did much meaningful flying so i am find this Sim hard going with a steep learning curve ,i find it quiet overwhelming and not sure where to start lol i dont mean which airport i mean the game itself i dont know enough about flying to use it properly. I'm getting tips from the forum and youtube vids but the only trouble with youtube is they do it so quick and some are hard to follow and they assume you know certain things not found a vid for a absolute beginner ,I am waiting for a new controller to come I might find it better then ,i have trouble with takeoff which should be quiet straight forward anyway i shall persevere and see what happens its going to take a while I feel lol But the the game is brillliant. Hi what you need to go is make and Iso file of the play disk and then mount it and then you dont need a disk inserted to play the sim hope this helps people with a physical copy,i use UltraISO quiet easy to use . regards Andrew
