Hi steve thanks for reply I did the same as you installed to a different drive and i founf like you much easier to find commuity folder there is another community folder your right but before when i had stuff in my community folder it was left empty besides if it did work my c drive is not big enough i bought it with OS in mind and few more files i really dont understand it at all working fine and then bang all gone to pot,I have put a ticket in but if they dont answer I will just reinstall with the reset button lol Thanks again steve Kind Regards Andrew

hi well it finally happened after all my good luck, and me saying i have had no problems it finally come back and bit me on the bum lol okay so my problem is nothing is loading in to the sim from the community folder I cant seem to find out what or if i have done wrong I know the path is right because i downloaded a320-nx into the folder and the downloader finds the right path to the community folder and that's not showing up either as anyone experienced this or got any idears pulling my hair out here and I and at 74 I don't have much left lol Any help or advice would be much appreciated . Hi I would get the disc version easy to install if I can do it anyone can lol I have had steam for about 12yrs and recently scince the pandemic actually they are throttleing the bandwidth on downloads this may be why ppl are getting so many problems with the steam install I like steam and have alot of games on the platform, but as I have said before I had a gut feeling about not getting msfs 2020 on steam and bought the disck version you do need disk 1 in to load and play the sim but there is a workaround so you dont need to hope this helps. Hi I think something maybe still lurking in the registery try using an uinstaller to get rid of reg entries you can find a free version here https://www.revouninstaller.com/products/revo-uninstaller-free/ i always use this to uninstall you will see when it asks you to scan go for the med setting as i think the other is to aggresive Anyway remove the A320 nx with the uninstaller restart your pc and download the flybywire installer this finds the correct place to download to its a good prog and also when you open it you will see if you are up to date or if patches are available cant say this will fix it for sure but worth a try.

yes they were mostly livery updates in the content manager. Srry tiger didnt see your reply lol

Hi I installed updates with no problem the last lot of updates can be done very quickly within content manager i know all machines are different but why are ppl getting all these problems, I don't understand it ,updates don't get much easier than in this sim,i am a real novice and I have never had a problem with any update from day one must be one of the lucky ones lol. Always make sure your graphics drivers are up to date Backup your community folder then if you get get problems after update just change name back and restore it check microsoft store for updates regularly install windows updates if needed Personally I would only reinstall if absolutely necessary most things can be fixed without as the Sim is an app I have the disc version but all my other games are on Steam which i have been with for 12yrs but I didn't want to trust msfs to steam I had a bad feeling about it ,steam can be touchy at times. Here is something to try if anyone is haveing trouble with updates resetting might go back a bit but repair feature does not go back far left click on start menu scroll down to msfs2020. right click on msfs and scroll to more then choose App settings When setting loads scroll down and you will see the option to Repair or reset I suggest trying Repair if that doesn't work try reset and just follow on screen instructions not sure about steam version . Hi Everyone Fps is a highly complex subject ,as all machines /settings are different we all know that , but I have been trying to get the best I can and feel I am not getting the most from my system ,now I never bothered about FPS in the past but there is something about MSFS that compels me to try and get more lol I have tried various setting over the past few months and come to the conclusion its a rob peter to pay paul scenario. I was just wondering if anyone can throw some light on the subject like what should I be expecting from a very high end system with 3080 card in it, 64gig ram, ssd drives etc. The main reason I am asking this is that things seem to have settled down a bit in the Sim but there is no ulterior motive for me asking just my own personal benefit to realise I am getting what I should ,and maybe it will benefit other users with there settings, Any comments advice much appreciated. i cant have a yoke as there is a keyboard shelf on my desk and it would be to much clutter nice idear though I did think about it ,but they are like rocking horse muck at the moment and the price as gone sky high lol excuse the pun.

I thank you for your reply and the graphic, my controls were actually set as you are showing in the picture but its the Throttle i am having problems with the ailerons ,Elevator,and rudder were ok but i did reassign them anyway there seems to be a problem with the throttle slider I am beginning to think there is something wrong with the controller time for a new one I think :)

Thanks for your reply yes i have calibrated it in windows even tried downloading a driver for the stick made it worse I dont really want to disable the mod as it works fine, its the A320 mod which i fly quiet alot,but thanks for your sugestion and i will bear it in mind. regards Abdrew

Hi I have a problem with my joystick which as been working fine for a cheapo, When i am using the throttle say on take off as I move the slider it gets to half way then shoots forward clearly not what it should do in my opinion, not being that good with joystick settings i am finding it difficult to fix it. I am using fly by wire mod, and have dead zones set to 9% have I got something wrong with my settings I wonder if anyone as experienced this problem and managed to fix it ,any help or Advice would be much appreciated. I know controllers in general can be a pain in the bum ,and i am sure there are numerous posts about them after searching I was unable to find anything . I also tried to increase my frame rates lol I followed a video on youtube omg what a disaster I had to go back and change it all ,so i have Knocked that on the head and am resigned to being satisfied with what I am getting still experimenting with settings a little not to really increase fps but just get good graphics settings the trouble is i dont understand what half of the setting do, Anyway if anyone as any idears it would be welcome. Flight sticks are very limited at the moment and I have no room for a yoke i am waiting until the one i want becomes available if any can recommend a not to expensive one in the mean time it would be Appreciated. thanks guys for the useful information well skywatcher don't really know what you want all i can say is some people are hard to please and some are never satisfied if you dont like the visuals in the game don't play simples, I personally love the game and am getting into it which I never did with fsx I seemed to be constantly trying to improve the visuals, cost me a fortune ,seriously this sim is terrific and how you can cry it down is beyond me I am 75yrs old and been using computers for gameing a long time and this sim is the best i have ever seen, you know a lot of the time people blame the sim and half the time the user settings are not right or poor computer specs trying to run at too high settings this as all been said before sorry but I disagree with what you say but everyone is entitled to there opinion right or wrong lol

Hi What are your thoughts on freeware aircraft is it too early ? I would like to try a couple of them rather than the over priced pay ware dont really want to jump in without information are there some that are worth getting can anyone recommend a site to get any i did google a few but most seemed unfinished ,as anyone got any and are using them Any help advice Links etc would be appreciated. Hi all thanks for the comments and advice I have actually manged to get to grips with it ,did a 3980 flight today without any stutter bad AP or anything everything worked as it should ,was perfect even the landing cant remember where i went I know it was either gatwick or heathrow departure think it was Rome (newyork )I know it was a AB but i will try the small planes now, early its early days i even got 100hr acheivment lol I will learn eventually its not a race lol

Hi can anyone tell me if its possible to make a new flight plan once you land and park up at your destination .What i am trying to say is can i create a new flight plan from the airfield I just landed at or do i need to go back to the main menu,and start again.I am sure this as been touched on before just cant find it .

Hi In my opinion its not a good Idear to have anything much on your system drive other than windows and a few mandatory files, I have my msfs installation and community folder on a separate drive and steam games on another drive, windows I installed on a M2 drive the thing is if you install Msfs 2020 on the same drive as windows your community folder will be a pain to get to ,also if you need to Re-install windows at all as msfs2020 is an app it would most likely get removed ,of course you do what you want just giving advice and my opinion the way I have mine the Sim load in a couple of minutes I dont think you would gain much if anything have your Installation on your system drive,of course as I said its entirely up to you what you do. Hi Tiger just a quick update not holding my breathe but just did a perfect AP landing I have to use guide pathe as i cant land yet very very new that is why I am using assists but have turned nearly all off thanks for the help and advice fingers crossed lol
