Thanks for reply, don't understand Mode for AP just pressed the button. And I thought the VS was set automatically so I didn't change it what's a good VS but it seems to climb ok it's just when I engage AP Disaster strikes lol. In retrospect it could low FPS causing it not sure I have a new super System on order might make some difference. Andrew

Hi I hate to keep harping on about the AP in the A320 but I still cant get it to work in fact i cant even get it to take off well. I have installed the last Flybywire mod . I have done the Cold and dark start up. I have started from the runway. The only thing I haven't done is enter information into MCU if that's the right Abbreviation for the flight computer the reason being I dont yet understand it and how to enter information (is this important) and would it affect my flying. Despite watching vids on youtube i can only manage to pick up snippets from each vid. This is what happens After a check while on the runway I set the clock and move to let engines initialise ,then move stick to toga ,slight down pressure till 100knots rotate at 140/ 160knots hand fly first 3000 ft then put AP on obviously gear is up and flaps are retracted ,that seems fine ,then the plane veers left and if I leave it a crash results. Am I doing something wrong is it the mcu not having certain info ,although I have flown before without entering anything. Can anyone please advise me what I am doing wrong any help would be much appreciated Thanks Andrew

Hi If it is showing in content manager, click it to install I think I am right, you might have to restart the sim not really sure. Andrew

Ap is a joke flying the A320 is a nightmare in fact I have given up on it until something is done ,I put a ticket in not long ago waited 5days to be told to check my settings and pointed to a link to get information i hope they fix it soon lol And where are all the freeware or payware Airliners they seem tp be holding off for some reason.

Hi Just spent 2hrs going through a storm on AP got to the airport in flight plan and everything went to pot nothing would work ,AP would not go up or down I have the latest update for the mod installed . All i can say the ones that can fly and land the thing deserve a medal because i cant do anything with it on takeoff or landing its just not working for me ,I would like to say I will wait for next update lol But it seems Asobo are relying on flybywire and hope everybody gets the patch IDK what the answer is ,I will try a shorter flight tomorrow lol But as of now its definately screwed for me anyway.

Hi Paul You need disk 1 in your drive and when it says Press any key after you click mouse button or controller it will continue to Load you shouldn't have to return to desktop .

Hi dont worry amberdog1 you are not on your own ,I too am having difficulty with the AP in the Airliners ,But I think its my fault Lack of (expertise) but as far as the AP goes aparently its best to hand fly the aircraft a good way first ,but again this does rely on other things being set ,then engage AP dont take this as gosple and as Plainsman said there are vids on youtube to explain better,I personally am trying to put together the things I have seen in the various vids on youtube it can be frustrating and i am finding it hard to get get the plane to follow the VFR heading but am sure I will get there lol Ps.Sorry for misunderstanding I thought you were on about A320.

Hi Paul When you received your disk pack there is a booklet, I am sure there is something in there with the install instructions, failing that google is your best friend try Youtube ,Have you gone into the store and tried update/downloads honestly I dont know where your at all Airports should be there maybe a good idear to wait and see if the next update fixes it or put in a Zendesk ticket I am at a loss to offer any other sugsetions i am by know means an expert lol Andrew

Personally I am not bothering with plugins /maps i need to be able to fly the Aircraft first ,as I see it anything that goes in in community folder as to be reinstalled or taken out and put back, I am going to wait until Airliners are fixed then i might try lol I have tried the mod from github/flybywire although somethings were better, I found the A320 still had a mind of its own when in AP, I don't know what the answer is the trouble if Asobo think its fixed they might no do anything, maybe its me that just can't fly the thing, sorry about the rant. Hi With the disc version you need Disk 1 in the drive and it will work.

Hi I know the core update is supposed to be next week, but what about the other updates that are showing in content manager do they get updated at the same time, at the moment I have 8 showing as update available, is this the same for everyone ,if they don't update with the core content how is it done can anyone tell me lol Andrew

Hi Paul If you remember i did suggest taking it back to PC world/curry's I had a feeling something was wrong with the pc or something. Anyway Paul really glad it's all working now .it must be a relieve for you and a weight off your mind i have been there trust me lol. They are a good bunch on this forum and I am sure they will answer any questions you you may have in the future, just one thing though, as MSFS20 as been out a bit ,it might be worth searching the forum first as your question might have been answered already it will save you time . As Msfs is an app The key/code is assigned and saved in your MS account so it may just ask for it again but you can definitely use it again not sure where or when it asks for it not done it. They had to make it like this for people getting new pc's it would not have made sense to do otherwise and is a bit confusing that it says the code is a one time use. Andrew

Hi Paulco you really are having a bad time of the installing ,which in effect should be straight forward . Ok got something else for you to try and this is how I did it ,do you have more than 1 HDD in your pc ? if you do ssd or mechanical ,Make folder on the 2nd drive Called MS Flight Simulator or something like that and when the disk asks for a path browse to the folder you created on your second drive and try and install it should go smoothly don't worry ,the installation can be moved at later date to an ssd or whatever ,C drive being the system drive with windows on won't be very big ,I am guessing 250gig or 500gb at the most ,the thing is if you install everything to c drive if ever you need to install windows you may lose everything on the C drive . Another thing you could do is reset your PC if you dont know how to do it let me know or you can google it or check youtube. HI Paulco Msfs 20 is an app so the main files are not stored in those directories but rather in ;- C:\Users\*your pc*\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator. Hope this helps you. Andrew

Hi Not sure m8 as i have my installation on a different drive I too am 74yrs old bit of a coincidence lol. Anyway I had a reply to a ticket I put in btw Its Aerolsoft who deal with the Disk version of the game not microsoft just to had more confusion to the mix,there may well be something in the links they provided that might help if your not up and running yet here is there reply With the planes that drop out of the sky, is this only when the autopilot is enabled? If so, auto-pilot issues are known and Asobo/Microsoft have been working on updates. Hi SHIFT + P gives pushback from Keyboard SHIFT + P + 1 To the Right SHIFT + P + 2 To the Left It might be the other way round ,but this should get you going temporary until fixed Hope this helps Andrew
