Glas to hear that, at least. Bernard

    My fs2004 dead ?

I don't think that a restore option would be reasonable. This might restore files like scenery.cfg and replace it by a default one or you really do a backup, what you should do now and urgently anyway. Before you are loosing important settings. To be certain that your system is effectively in position to run FS9, you only will know that by installing a second default and basic FS9. Otherwise you are waisting your time. And it isn't that complicated as you seems to fear. IMO you actually have no other choice Bernard

    My fs2004 dead ?

I agree with Michael. BUT, aftrwards rename your new basic installation like FS9 default or somsthing else. It always be helpful to have a basic backup too. Bernard
  4. Hi Tom, Your uploads had other reasons. These aren't those which I ment. It concerns in particularly Joshua B. Nyhus' file "FS2004 Repaint - U of I C-45H N9887Z 1.1" which already was here somtime before. Bernard
  5. The software change has obliged several contributors to reinstall their creations. With the result that we assume to get new entries but in reality they have been already uploaded a long time before. It's quite anoying and time waisting! Bernard
  6. Seems tp be quite interesting. What are the advantages compared with external drives, and how are performances compared to those? Bernard
  7. Sorry, I didn't extended my searchs to FS 1964 ...
  8. Why searching with file name doesn't work? And BTW, there isn't any Tim Conway as mentioned in the repaint description. The T-28 Navy VT-5 has been created by Tim Conrad!
  9. A lot of repaints, but no basic model! Bernard

  11. Good Luck! I'm still struggling with these unsuitable surfaces too.

    4GB Patch

Thanks for your tip. And what if it doesn't match? Bernard
  13. This scenery package is nothing else than the one done by Nicholson and complained below. Bernard
  14. Larry, thanks for the tip. I finally opt for Bob Holland's 'MATS Hump AFCAD^package mixed with some backdated CalClassic airports. Maybe I could add a few of the Garry Smith's Indian airfields while deleting the most fanciful objects. Bernard
  15. Indeed, metcously done as always, Larry. A very nice overview of traffic scenes. Many thanks. I already saw them at CalClassic site, but I'm no more able to post an appreciation there. Bernard
  16. I'am running the FS9 'The Hump' scenery and shocked to see the discrepancy to the FSX version. Rudimentary ADE als well as oversized tower and hangars aren't suitable to get a delightful use of the package. Here an comparaison how CBI Dehli Safdarjung looks like in both versions: FS9 FSX Isn't there any appropriated alternative to be used with FS9? Thanks for your advice Bernard
  17. Maybe you should try to shut it down with CTRL+C keys. You also might try to change the starting situation in FS9.cfg. I use following setting: SITUATION=C:\Flight Simulator 9/Flights/other/Kloten When I start FS over the icon, it's positioned at LSZH. In my case the saved flight generates a Traffic View Board mode. Bernard
  18. While just deleting the very simple cruise ships below, the whole city addon disappears. So better le it be! Bernard
  19. Many thanks Günther, you really made my day! Without your short, but precise introduction I would never been able to start this tool. FS2004-Team is always reliable! Nest time there. Bernard
  20. Particularly Morocco with port of Casablanca. Bernard PS: Schön, dich hier zu finden!
  21. Toni Agramont did a tremendous work with his many addons covering several areas of the world. Many thanks to the author. Unfortunately he might thought that it would be helpful by adding static aircraft at airports. Of course, he then was in good company by populating sceneries this way. But meanwhile they are mostly out of time. Furthermore there are some awful ships added to ports. So my question is, could these objects be deleted and how? I already tried with different excluding solutions but haven't been sucessful. Maybe someone does have a better idea. Thanks for advice anyway. Bernard
  22. I have been there already before. A very helpful and a simple handling site ... BTW, FS-Shipyard has been mentioned here some months ago: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?339605-FS-Shipyards&highlight=fs-shipyard Sorry, but I'm not aware of having a 'questionable' behaviour. Isn't the 'File Library' here a kind of sharing site too? At least I thought to reach here a flight sim community with the largest readership. Obvisouly it seems that I have been wrong. Anyway, thanks for your advice. Bernard
  23. As it's known, FS-Shipyards has closed its website, and thus made all download options impossible. Once again: what a pity! So does anyone still have the AI flightplans for Chesapeake Bay ship traffic in his system? That could help me in any case. Thanks for any advice. Bernard
  24. For test purposes I use the MAIW AH-64. I replaced the original 'NBAI_AH64_Apache_AI_ONLY' air file by the often used 'stemme_as_helicopter_1'. The aircraft does the same vertical take off. Therefore the air file has no impact on the behaviour. Which are the civilian helis you have modified? Bernard
  25. Meanwhile I modified the CFG file of Paul Brsdshaw's Sikorsky CH-34. I copied the CFG entries of one of MAIW helicopters. But I got any change of take off behaviour. Bernard
